2025-10-15interval_tree: Fix ITSTATIC usage for *_subtree_search()Josh Poimboeuf1-1/+1
For consistency with the other function templates, change _subtree_search_*() to use the user-supplied ITSTATIC rather than the hard-coded 'static'. Acked-by: Petr Mladek <pmladek@suse.com> Tested-by: Joe Lawrence <joe.lawrence@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Josh Poimboeuf <jpoimboe@kernel.org>
2025-10-15interval_tree: Sync interval_tree_generic.h with toolsJosh Poimboeuf1-6/+2
The following commit made an improvement to interval_tree_generic.h, but didn't sync it to the tools copy: 19811285784f ("lib/interval_tree: skip the check before go to the right subtree") Sync it, and add it to objtool's sync-check.sh so they are more likely to stay in sync going forward. 2022-10-17objtool: Fix find_{symbol,func}_containing()Peter Zijlstra1-0/+187
The current find_{symbol,func}_containing() functions are broken in the face of overlapping symbols, exactly the case that is needed for a new ibt/endbr supression. Import interval_tree_generic.h into the tools tree and convert the symbol tree to an interval tree to support proper range stabs.
