2024-08-26nvme-rdma: send cntlid in the RDMA_CM_REQUEST Private DataNiklas Cassel1-1/+5
When sending a RDMA_CM_REQUEST, the NVMe RDMA Transport Specification allows you to populate the cntlid field in the RDMA_CM_REQUEST Private Data. The cntlid is returned by the target on completion of the first RDMA_CM_REQUEST command (which creates the admin queue). The cntlid field can then be populated by the host when the I/O queues are created (using additional RDMA_CM_REQUEST commands), such that the target can perform extra validation for additional RDMA_CM_REQUEST commands. This additional error code and error message is also added, such that nvme_rdma_cm_msg() will display the proper error message if the target fails the RDMA_CM_REQUEST command because of this extra validation. 2024-03-03nvmet-rdma: set max_queue_size for RDMA transportMax Gurtovoy1-1/+2
A new port configuration was added to set max_queue_size. Clamp user configuration to RDMA transport limits. Increase the maximal queue size of RDMA controllers from 128 to 256 (the default size stays 128 same as before). 2024-03-03nvme-rdma: introduce NVME_RDMA_MAX_METADATA_QUEUE_SIZE definitionMax Gurtovoy1-1/+2
This definition will be used by controllers that are configured with metadata support. For now, both regular and metadata controllers have the same maximal queue size but later commit will increase the maximal queue size for regular RDMA controllers to 256. We'll keep the maximal queue size for metadata controllers to be 128 since there are more resources that are needed for metadata operations and 128 is the optimal size found for metadata controllers base on testing. 2021-10-20nvme-rdma: limit the maximal queue size for RDMA controllersMax Gurtovoy1-0/+2
Corrent limit of 1024 isn't valid for some of the RDMA based ctrls. In case the target expose a cap of larger amount of entries (e.g. 1024), the initiator may fail to create a QP with this size. Thus limit to a value that works for all RDMA adapters. Future general solution should use RDMA/core API to calculate this size according to device capabilities and number of WRs needed per NVMe IO request.
