2024-12-24drm/msm/mdp4: correct LCDC regulator nameDmitry Baryshkov1-1/+1
Correct c&p error from the conversion of LCDC regulators to the bulk API. 2023-12-03drm/msm/mdp4: use drmm-managed allocation for mdp4_lcdc_encoderDmitry Baryshkov1-29/+7
Change struct mdp4_lcdc_encoder allocation to use drmm_encoder_alloc(). This removes the need to perform any actions on this encoder destruction. 2020-09-04drm/msm/mdp4: Remove unused downstream bus scaling apisSai Prakash Ranjan1-47/+0
MSM bus scaling has moved on to use interconnect framework and downstream bus scaling apis are not present anymore. Remove them as they are nop anyways in the current code, no functional change. 2019-09-04drm/msm: drop use of drmP.hSam Ravnborg1-0/+2
Drop the deprecated drmP.h header file, and trim msm_drv.h to the relevant include files. This resulted in a suprisingly many edits as many files relied on headers included via msm_drv.h. But msm_drv.h is not supposed to carry include files it do not need, so the individual files have to include what extra they needs. v2: - Rebased on top of https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/msm.git msm-next Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Cc: Rob Clark <robdclark@gmail.com> Cc: Sean Paul <sean@poorly.run> Cc: David Airlie <airlied@linux.ie> Cc: Daniel Vetter <daniel@ffwll.ch> Cc: Jordan Crouse <jcrouse@codeaurora.org> Cc: Jeykumar Sankaran <jsanka@codeaurora.org> Cc: Bruce Wang <bzwang@chromium.org> Cc: Shayenne Moura <shayenneluzmoura@gmail.com> Cc: Mamta Shukla <mamtashukla555@gmail.com> Cc: Jonathan Marek <jonathan@marek.ca> Cc: Carsten Behling <carsten.behling@googlemail.com> Cc: Maarten Lankhorst <maarten.lankhorst@linux.intel.com> Cc: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@bootlin.com> Cc: Paul Kocialkowski <paul.kocialkowski@bootlin.com> Cc: Sibi Sankar <sibis@codeaurora.org> Cc: Todor Tomov <todor.tomov@linaro.org> Cc: linux-arm-msm@vger.kernel.org Cc: freedreno@lists.freedesktop.org Signed-off-by: Sean Paul <seanpaul@chromium.org> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20190804065551.GA5211@ravnborg.org

2019-01-24drm: Split out drm_probe_helper.hDaniel Vetter1-1/+1
Having the probe helper stuff (which pretty much everyone needs) in the drm_crtc_helper.h file (which atomic drivers should never need) is confusing. Split them out. To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of drm_crtc_helper.h includes. v2: Make it compile. There was so much compile fail on arm drivers that I figured I'll better not include any of the acks on v1. v3: Massive rebase because i915 has lost a lot of drmP.h includes, but not all: Through drm_crtc_helper.h > drm_modeset_helper.h -> drmP.h there was still one, which this patch largely removes. Which means rolling out lots more includes all over. This will also conflict with ongoing drmP.h cleanup by others I expect. v3: Rebase on top of atomic bochs. v4: Review from Laurent for bridge/rcar/omap/shmob/core bits: - (re)move some of the added includes, use the better include files in other places (all suggested from Laurent adopted unchanged). - sort alphabetically v5: Actually try to sort them, and while at it, sort all the ones I touch. v6: Rebase onto i915 changes. v7: Rebase once more. 2018-07-10drm/panel: Make of_drm_find_panel() return an ERR_PTR() instead of NULLBoris Brezillon1-2/+2
Right now, the DRM panel logic returns NULL when a panel pointing to the passed OF node is not present in the list of registered panels. Most drivers interpret this NULL value as -EPROBE_DEFER, but we are about to modify the semantic of of_drm_find_panel() and let the framework return -ENODEV when the device node we're pointing to has a status property that is not equal to "okay" or "ok". Let's first patch the of_drm_find_panel() implementation to return ERR_PTR(-EPROBE_DEFER) instead of NULL and patch all callers to replace the '!panel' check by an 'IS_ERR(panel)' one.
