2019-06-21docs: driver-model: convert docs to ReST and rename to *.rstMauro Carvalho Chehab1-106/+0
Convert the various documents at the driver-model, preparing them to be part of the driver-api book. The conversion is actually: - add blank lines and identation in order to identify paragraphs; - fix tables markups; - add some lists markups; - mark literal blocks; - adjust title markups. At its new index.rst, let's add a :orphan: while this is not linked to the main index.rst file, in order to avoid build warnings. 2011-08-25docs/driver-model: Document device.groupsBart Van Assche1-33/+32
Several drivers use device_create_file() where device.groups should be used instead. This patch documents that and also removes the comments about device classes since these should not be used in new code in the way documented until now in Documentation/driver-model/device.txt. 2011-05-07driver core: remove the driver-model structures from the documentationWanlong Gao1-90/+1
Remove the struct bus_type, class, device, device_driver from the driver-model docs. With another patch add them to device.h, since they are out of date. That will keep things up to date and provide a better way to document this stuff. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
