2025-07-06m68k: Replace __ASSEMBLY__ with __ASSEMBLER__ in uapi headersThomas Huth1-2/+2
__ASSEMBLY__ is only defined by the Makefile of the kernel, so this is not really useful for uapi headers (unless the userspace Makefile defines it, too). Let's switch to __ASSEMBLER__ which gets set automatically by the compiler when compiling assembly code. This is a completely mechanical patch (done with a simple "sed -i" statement). 2024-05-07m68k: Avoid CONFIG_COLDFIRE switch in uapi headerThomas Huth1-1/+1
We should not use any CONFIG switches in uapi headers since these only work during kernel compilation. They are not defined for userspace. Let's use the __mcoldfire__ switch from the compiler here instead. Signed-off-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@linux-m68k.org>
2022-05-16m68knommu: add definitions to support elf_fdpic program loaderGreg Ungerer1-0/+5
Add a few required defines to support using the binfmt_elf_fdpic loader on the m68k architecture. The values are defined to be consistent with those used on arm and sh which support this too. The most important m68k specific change is the register initialization. The pt_reg structure only contains a subset of the architecture general registers, so we are more limited than to be expected on what can be used. Signed-off-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@linux-m68k.org>
2017-11-02License cleanup: add SPDX license identifier to uapi header files with no ↵Greg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+1
license Many user space API headers are missing licensing information, which makes it hard for compliance tools to determine the correct license. By default are files without license information under the default license of the kernel, which is GPLV2. Marking them GPLV2 would exclude them from being included in non GPLV2 code, which is obviously not intended. The user space API headers fall under the syscall exception which is in the kernels COPYING file: NOTE! This copyright does *not* cover user programs that use kernel services by normal system calls - this is merely considered normal use of the kernel, and does *not* fall under the heading of "derived work". otherwise syscall usage would not be possible. Update the files which contain no license information with an SPDX license identifier. The chosen identifier is 'GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note' which is the officially assigned identifier for the Linux syscall exception. SPDX license identifiers are a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. See the previous patch in this series for the methodology of how this patch was researched.
