Pull arm64 updates from Catalin Marinas:
- Support for running Linux in a protected VM under the Arm
Confidential Compute Architecture (CCA)
- Guarded Control Stack user-space support. Current patches follow the
x86 ABI of implicitly creating a shadow stack on clone(). Subsequent
patches (already on the list) will add support for clone3() allowing
finer-grained control of the shadow stack size and placement from
libc
- AT_HWCAP3 support (not running out of HWCAP2 bits yet but we are
getting close with the upcoming dpISA support)
- Other arch features:
- In-kernel use of the memcpy instructions, FEAT_MOPS (previously
only exposed to user; uaccess support not merged yet)
- MTE: hugetlbfs support and the corresponding kselftests
- Optimise CRC32 using the PMULL instructions
- Support for FEAT_HAFT enabling ARCH_HAS_NONLEAF_PMD_YOUNG
- Optimise the kernel TLB flushing to use the range operations
- POE/pkey (permission overlays): further cleanups after bringing
the signal handler in line with the x86 behaviour for 6.12
- arm64 perf updates:
- Support for the NXP i.MX91 PMU in the existing IMX driver
- Support for Ampere SoCs in the Designware PCIe PMU driver
- Support for Marvell's 'PEM' PCIe PMU present in the 'Odyssey' SoC
- Support for Samsung's 'Mongoose' CPU PMU
- Support for PMUv3.9 finer-grained userspace counter access
control
- Switch back to platform_driver::remove() now that it returns
'void'
- Add some missing events for the CXL PMU driver
- Miscellaneous arm64 fixes/cleanups:
- Page table accessors cleanup: type updates, drop unused macros,
reorganise arch_make_huge_pte() and clean up pte_mkcont(), sanity
check addresses before runtime P4D/PUD folding
- Command line override for ID_AA64MMFR0_EL1.ECV (advertising the
FEAT_ECV for the generic timers) allowing Linux to boot with
firmware deployments that don't set SCTLR_EL3.ECVEn
- ACPI/arm64: tighten the check for the array of platform timer
structures and adjust the error handling procedure in
gtdt_parse_timer_block()
- Optimise the cache flush for the uprobes xol slot (skip if no
change) and other uprobes/kprobes cleanups
- Fix the context switching of tpidrro_el0 when kpti is enabled
- Dynamic shadow call stack fixes
- Sysreg updates
- Various arm64 kselftest improvements

Fixes boot failures on 6.9 on PPC_BOOK3S_32 machines using Open Firmware.
On these machines, the kernel refuses to boot from non-zero
PHYSICAL_START, which occurs when CRASH_DUMP is on.
Since most PPC_BOOK3S_32 machines boot via Open Firmware, it should
default to off for them. Users booting via some other mechanism can still
turn it on explicitly.
Does not change the default on any other architectures for the
time being.

Although support for SME was merged in v5.19, we've since uncovered a
number of issues with the implementation, including issues which might
corrupt the FPSIMD/SVE/SME state of arbitrary tasks. While there are
patches to address some of these issues, ongoing review has highlighted
additional functional problems, and more time is necessary to analyse
and fix these.
For now, mark SME as BROKEN in the hope that we can fix things properly
in the near future. As SME is an OPTIONAL part of ARMv9.2+, and there is
very little extant hardware, this should not adversely affect the vast
majority of users.

With the support of FEAT_HAFT, the NONLEAF_PMD_YOUNG can be enabled
on arm64 since the hardware is capable of updating the AF flag for
PMD table descriptor. Since the AF bit of the table descriptor
shares the same bit position in block descriptors, we only need
to implement arch_has_hw_nonleaf_pmd_young() and select related
configs. The related pmd_young test/update operations keeps the
same with and already implemented for transparent page support.
Currently ARCH_HAS_NONLEAF_PMD_YOUNG is used to improve the
efficiency of lru-gen aging.

Armv8.9/v9.4 introduces the feature Hardware managed Access Flag
for Table descriptors (FEAT_HAFT). The feature is indicated by
ID_AA64MMFR1_EL1.HAFDBS == 0b0011 and can be enabled by
TCR2_EL1.HAFT so it has a dependency on FEAT_TCR2.
Adds the Kconfig for FEAT_HAFT and support detecting and enabling
the feature. The feature is enabled in __cpu_setup() before MMU on
just like HA. A CPU capability is added to notify the user of the
feature.
Add definition of P{G,4,U,M}D_TABLE_AF bit and set the AF bit
when creating the page table, which will save the hardware
from having to update them at runtime. This will be ignored if
FEAT_HAFT is not enabled.
The AF bit of table descriptors cannot be managed by the software
per spec, unlike the HA. So this should be used only if it's supported
system wide by system_supports_haft().

Use the memory encryption APIs to trigger a RSI call to request a

and updating the kernel's linear map of modified pages to flip the top

Make memcpy(), memmove() and memset() use the Armv8.8 FEAT_MOPS
instructions when implemented on the CPU.
The CPY*/SET* instructions copy or set a block of memory of arbitrary
size and alignment. They can be interrupted by the CPU and the copying
resumed later. Their performance is expected to be close to the best
generic copy/set sequence of loads/stores for a given CPU. Using them in
the kernel's copy/set routines therefore avoids the need to periodically
rewrite the routines to optimize for new microarchitectures. It could
also lead to a performance improvement for some CPUs and systems.
With this change the kernel will always use the instructions if they are
implemented on the CPU (and have not been disabled by the arm64.nomops
command line parameter). When not implemented the usual routines will be
used (patched via alternatives). Note, we need to patch B/NOP instead of
the whole sequence to avoid executing a partially patched sequence in
case the compiler generates a mem*() call inside the alternatives
patching code.
Note that MOPS instructions have relaxed behavior on Device memory, but
it is expected that these routines are not generally used on MMIO.
Note: For memcpy(), this uses the CPY* instructions instead of CPYF*, as
CPY* allows overlaps between the source and destination buffers, and
despite contradicting the C standard, compilers require that memcpy()
work on exactly overlapping source and destination:

The Kconfig logic to select HAVE_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS is incorrect,
and HAVE_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS may be selected when it is not
supported by the combination of clang and GNU LD, resulting in link-time
errors:
aarch64-linux-gnu-ld: .init.data has both ordered [`__patchable_function_entries' in init/main.o] and unordered [`.meminit.data' in mm/sparse.o] sections
aarch64-linux-gnu-ld: final link failed: bad value
... which can be seen when building with CC=clang using a binutils
version older than 2.36.
We originally fixed that in commit:
45bd8951806eb5e8 ("arm64: Improve HAVE_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_REGS selection for clang")
... by splitting the "select HAVE_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS" statement
into separete CLANG_SUPPORTS_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS and
GCC_SUPPORTS_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS options which individually select
HAVE_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS.
Subsequently we accidentally re-introduced the common "select
HAVE_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS" statement in commit:
26299b3f6ba26bfc ("ftrace: arm64: move from REGS to ARGS")
... then we removed it again in commit:
68a63a412d18bd2e ("arm64: Fix build with CC=clang, CONFIG_FTRACE=y and CONFIG_STACK_TRACER=y")
... then we accidentally re-introduced it again in commit:
2aa6ac03516d078c ("arm64: ftrace: Add direct call support")
Fix this for the third time by keeping the unified select statement and
making this depend onf either GCC_SUPPORTS_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS or
CLANG_SUPPORTS_DYNAMIC_FTRACE_WITH_ARGS. This is more consistent with
usual style and less likely to go wrong in future.

A number of Arm Ltd CPUs suffer from errata whereby an MSR to the SSBS
special-purpose register does not affect subsequent speculative
instructions, permitting speculative store bypassing for a window of
time.
We worked around this for a number of CPUs in commits:
* 7187bb7d0b5c7dfa ("arm64: errata: Add workaround for Arm errata 3194386 and 3312417")
* 75b3c43eab594bfb ("arm64: errata: Expand speculative SSBS workaround")
* 145502cac7ea70b5 ("arm64: errata: Expand speculative SSBS workaround (again)")
Since then, a (hopefully final) batch of updates have been published,
with two more affected CPUs. For the affected CPUs the existing
mitigation is sufficient, as described in their respective Software
Developer Errata Notice (SDEN) documents:
* Cortex-A715 (MP148) SDEN v15.0, erratum 3456084
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2148827/1500/
* Neoverse-N3 (MP195) SDEN v5.0, erratum 3456111
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-3050973/0500/
Enable the existing mitigation by adding the relevant MIDRs to
erratum_spec_ssbs_list, and update silicon-errata.rst and the
Kconfig text accordingly.

Pull Rust updates from Miguel Ojeda:
"Toolchain and infrastructure:
- Support 'MITIGATION_{RETHUNK,RETPOLINE,SLS}' (which cleans up
objtool warnings), teach objtool about 'noreturn' Rust symbols and
mimic '___ADDRESSABLE()' for 'module_{init,exit}'. With that, we
should be objtool-warning-free, so enable it to run for all Rust
object files.
- KASAN (no 'SW_TAGS'), KCFI and shadow call sanitizer support.
- Support 'RUSTC_VERSION', including re-config and re-build on
change.
- Split helpers file into several files in a folder, to avoid
conflicts in it. Eventually those files will be moved to the right
places with the new build system. In addition, remove the need to
manually export the symbols defined there, reusing existing
machinery for that.
- Relax restriction on configurations with Rust + GCC plugins to just
the RANDSTRUCT plugin.
'kernel' crate:
- New 'list' module: doubly-linked linked list for use with reference
counted values, which is heavily used by the upcoming Rust Binder.
This includes 'ListArc' (a wrapper around 'Arc' that is guaranteed
unique for the given ID), 'AtomicTracker' (tracks whether a
'ListArc' exists using an atomic), 'ListLinks' (the prev/next
pointers for an item in a linked list), 'List' (the linked list
itself), 'Iter' (an iterator over a 'List'), 'Cursor' (a cursor
into a 'List' that allows to remove elements), 'ListArcField' (a
field exclusively owned by a 'ListArc'), as well as support for
heterogeneous lists.
- New 'rbtree' module: red-black tree abstractions used by the
upcoming Rust Binder.
This includes 'RBTree' (the red-black tree itself), 'RBTreeNode' (a
node), 'RBTreeNodeReservation' (a memory reservation for a node),
'Iter' and 'IterMut' (immutable and mutable iterators), 'Cursor'
(bidirectional cursor that allows to remove elements), as well as
an entry API similar to the Rust standard library one.
- 'init' module: add 'write_[pin_]init' methods and the
'InPlaceWrite' trait. Add the 'assert_pinned!' macro.
- 'sync' module: implement the 'InPlaceInit' trait for 'Arc' by
introducing an associated type in the trait.
- 'alloc' module: add 'drop_contents' method to 'BoxExt'.
- 'types' module: implement the 'ForeignOwnable' trait for
'Pin<Box<T>>' and improve the trait's documentation. In addition,
add the 'into_raw' method to the 'ARef' type.

32-bit architectures, like arm, locally allow Clippy lint for
those.

Pull MM updates from Andrew Morton:
"Along with the usual shower of singleton patches, notable patch series
in this pull request are:
- "Align kvrealloc() with krealloc()" from Danilo Krummrich. Adds
consistency to the APIs and behaviour of these two core allocation
functions. This also simplifies/enables Rustification.
- "Some cleanups for shmem" from Baolin Wang. No functional changes -
mode code reuse, better function naming, logic simplifications.
- "mm: some small page fault cleanups" from Josef Bacik. No
functional changes - code cleanups only.
- "Various memory tiering fixes" from Zi Yan. A small fix and a
little cleanup.
- "mm/swap: remove boilerplate" from Yu Zhao. Code cleanups and
simplifications and .text shrinkage.
- "Kernel stack usage histogram" from Pasha Tatashin and Shakeel
Butt. This is a feature, it adds new feilds to /proc/vmstat such as
$ grep kstack /proc/vmstat
kstack_1k 3
kstack_2k 188
kstack_4k 11391
kstack_8k 243
kstack_16k 0
which tells us that 11391 processes used 4k of stack while none at
all used 16k. Useful for some system tuning things, but
partivularly useful for "the dynamic kernel stack project".
- "kmemleak: support for percpu memory leak detect" from Pavel
Tikhomirov. Teaches kmemleak to detect leaksage of percpu memory.
- "mm: memcg: page counters optimizations" from Roman Gushchin. "3
independent small optimizations of page counters".
- "mm: split PTE/PMD PT table Kconfig cleanups+clarifications" from
David Hildenbrand. Improves PTE/PMD splitlock detection, makes
powerpc/8xx work correctly by design rather than by accident.
- "mm: remove arch_make_page_accessible()" from David Hildenbrand.
Some folio conversions which make arch_make_page_accessible()
unneeded.
- "mm, memcg: cg2 memory{.swap,}.peak write handlers" fro David
Finkel. Cleans up and fixes our handling of the resetting of the

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/crng/random
Pull random number generator updates from Jason Donenfeld:
"Originally I'd planned on sending each of the vDSO getrandom()
architecture ports to their respective arch trees. But as we started
to work on this, we found lots of interesting issues in the shared
code and infrastructure, the fixes for which the various archs needed
to base their work.
So in the end, this turned into a nice collaborative effort fixing up
issues and porting to 5 new architectures -- arm64, powerpc64,
powerpc32, s390x, and loongarch64 -- with everybody pitching in and
commenting on each other's code. It was a fun development cycle.
This contains:
- Numerous fixups to the vDSO selftest infrastructure, getting it
running successfully on more platforms, and fixing bugs in it.
- Additions to the vDSO getrandom & chacha selftests. Basically every
time manual review unearthed a bug in a revision of an arch patch,
or an ambiguity, the tests were augmented.
By the time the last arch was submitted for review, s390x, v1 of
the series was essentially fine right out of the gate.
- Fixes to the the generic C implementation of vDSO getrandom, to
build and run successfully on all archs, decoupling it from
assumptions we had (unintentionally) made on x86_64 that didn't
carry through to the other architectures.
- Port of vDSO getrandom to LoongArch64, from Xi Ruoyao and acked by
Huacai Chen.
- Port of vDSO getrandom to ARM64, from Adhemerval Zanella and acked
by Will Deacon.
- Port of vDSO getrandom to PowerPC, in both 32-bit and 64-bit
varieties, from Christophe Leroy and acked by Michael Ellerman.
- Port of vDSO getrandom to S390X from Heiko Carstens, the arch
maintainer.
While it'd be natural for there to be things to fix up over the course
of the development cycle, these patches got a decent amount of review
from a fairly diverse crew of folks on the mailing lists, and, for the
most part, they've been cooking in linux-next, which has been helpful
for ironing out build issues.
In terms of architectures, I think that mostly takes care of the
important 64-bit archs with hardware still being produced and running
production loads in settings where vDSO getrandom is likely to help.
Arguably there's still RISC-V left, and we'll see for 6.13 whether
they find it useful and submit a port"

Support huge pfnmaps by using bit 56 (PTE_SPECIAL) for "special" on
pmds/puds. Provide the pmd/pud helpers to set/get special bit.
There's one more thing missing for arm64 which is the pxx_pgprot() for
pmd/pud. Add them too, which is mostly the same as the pte version by
dropping the pfn field. These helpers are essential to be used in the new
follow_pfnmap*() API to report valid pgprot_t results.
Note that arm64 doesn't yet support huge PUD yet, but it's still
straightforward to provide the pud helpers that we need altogether. Only
PMD helpers will make an immediate benefit until arm64 will support huge
PUDs first in general (e.g. in THPs).

Hook up the generic vDSO implementation to the aarch64 vDSO data page.
The _vdso_rng_data required data is placed within the _vdso_data vvar
page, by using a offset larger than the vdso_data.
The vDSO function requires a ChaCha20 implementation that does not write
to the stack, and that can do an entire ChaCha20 permutation. The one
provided uses NEON on the permute operation, with a fallback to the
syscall for chips that do not support AdvSIMD.
This also passes the vdso_test_chacha test along with
vdso_test_getrandom. The vdso_test_getrandom bench-single result on
Neoverse-N1 shows:
vdso: 25000000 times in 0.783884250 seconds
libc: 25000000 times in 8.780275399 seconds
syscall: 25000000 times in 8.786581518 seconds
A small fixup to arch/arm64/include/asm/mman.h was required to avoid
pulling kernel code into the vDSO, similar to what's already done in
arch/arm64/include/asm/rwonce.h.

Add all of the flags that are needed to support the shadow call stack
(SCS) sanitizer with Rust, and updates Kconfig to allow only
configurations that work.
The -Zfixed-x18 flag is required to use SCS on arm64, and requires rustc
version 1.80.0 or greater. This restriction is reflected in Kconfig.
When CONFIG_DYNAMIC_SCS is enabled, the build will be configured to
include unwind tables in the build artifacts. Dynamic SCS uses the
unwind tables at boot to find all places that need to be patched. The
-Cforce-unwind-tables=y flag ensures that unwind tables are available
for Rust code.
In non-dynamic mode, the -Zsanitizer=shadow-call-stack flag is what
enables the SCS sanitizer. Using this flag requires rustc version 1.82.0
or greater on the targets used by Rust in the kernel. This restriction
is reflected in Kconfig.
It is possible to avoid the requirement of rustc 1.80.0 by using
-Ctarget-feature=+reserve-x18 instead of -Zfixed-x18. However, this flag
emits a warning during the build, so this patch does not add support for
using it and instead requires 1.80.0 or greater.
The dependency is placed on `select HAVE_RUST` to avoid a situation
where enabling Rust silently turns off the sanitizer. Instead, turning
on the sanitizer results in Rust being disabled. We generally do not
want changes to CONFIG_RUST to result in any mitigations being changed
or turned off.
At the time of writing, rustc 1.82.0 only exists via the nightly release
channel. There is a chance that the -Zsanitizer=shadow-call-stack flag
will end up needing 1.83.0 instead, but I think it is small.

DMA ops are a helper for architectures and not for drivers to override
the DMA implementation.
Unfortunately driver authors keep ignoring this. Make the fact more
clear by renaming the symbol to ARCH_HAS_DMA_OPS and having the two drivers
overriding their dma_ops depend on that. These drivers should probably be

A number of Arm Ltd CPUs suffer from errata whereby an MSR to the SSBS
special-purpose register does not affect subsequent speculative
instructions, permitting speculative store bypassing for a window of
time.
We worked around this for a number of CPUs in commits:
* 7187bb7d0b5c7dfa ("arm64: errata: Add workaround for Arm errata 3194386 and 3312417")
* 75b3c43eab594bfb ("arm64: errata: Expand speculative SSBS workaround")
Since then, similar errata have been published for a number of other Arm
Ltd CPUs, for which the same mitigation is sufficient. This is described
in their respective Software Developer Errata Notice (SDEN) documents:
* Cortex-A76 (MP052) SDEN v31.0, erratum 3324349
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-885749/3100/
* Cortex-A77 (MP074) SDEN v19.0, erratum 3324348

https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-1707916/1600/
* Cortex-A78C (MP154) SDEN v10.0, erratum 3324347
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2004089/1000/
* Cortex-A725 (MP190) SDEN v5.0, erratum 3456106
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2832921/0500/
* Cortex-X1 (MP077) SDEN v21.0, erratum 3324344
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-1401782/2100/
* Cortex-X1C (MP136) SDEN v16.0, erratum 3324346
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-1707914/1600/
* Neoverse-N1 (MP050) SDEN v32.0, erratum 3324349
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-885747/3200/
* Neoverse-V1 (MP076) SDEN v19.0, erratum 3324341
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-1401781/1900/
Note that due to the manner in which Arm develops IP and tracks errata,
some CPUs share a common erratum number and some CPUs have multiple
erratum numbers for the same HW issue.
On parts without SB, it is necessary to use ISB for the workaround. The
spec_bar() macro used in the mitigation will expand to a "DSB SY; ISB"
sequence in this case, which is sufficient on all affected parts.
Enable the existing mitigation by adding the relevant MIDRs to
erratum_spec_ssbs_list. The list is sorted alphanumerically (involving
moving Neoverse-V3 after Neoverse-V2) so that this is easy to audit and
potentially extend again in future. The Kconfig text is also updated to
clarify the set of affected parts and the mitigation.

On arm64 we build compressed images, but "make install" by default will
install the old non-compressed one. To actually get the compressed
image install, you need to use "make zinstall", which is not the usual
way to install a kernel.
Which may not sound like much of an issue, but when you deal with
multiple architectures (and years of your fingers knowing the regular
"make install" incantation), this inconsistency is pretty annoying.
But as Will Deacon says:
"Sadly, bootloaders being as top quality as you might expect, I don't
think we're in a position to rely on decompressor support across the
board. Our Image.gz is literally just that -- we don't have a built-in
decompressor (nor do I think we want to rush into that again after the
fun we had on arm32) and the recent EFI zboot support solves that
problem for platforms using EFI.
Changing the default 'install' target terrifies me. There are bound to
be folks with embedded boards who've scripted this and we could really
ruin their day if we quietly give them a compressed kernel that their
bootloader doesn't know how to handle :/"
So make this conditional on a new "COMPRESSED_INSTALL" option.

irqchip. We also have some GICv3 optimisation for pseudo-NMIs that has
been queued via the arm64 tree. Otherwise the usual perf updates,
kselftest, various small cleanups.
Core:
- Virtual CPU hotplug support for arm64 ACPI systems
- cpufeature infrastructure cleanups and making the FEAT_ECBHB ID
bits visible to guests
- CPU errata: expand the speculative SSBS workaround to more CPUs
- GICv3, use compile-time PMR values: optimise the way regular IRQs
are masked/unmasked when GICv3 pseudo-NMIs are used, removing the
need for a static key in fast paths by using a priority value
chosen dynamically at boot time
ACPI:
- 'acpi=nospcr' option to disable SPCR as default console for arm64
- Move some ACPI code (cpuidle, FFH) to drivers/acpi/arm64/
Perf updates:
- Rework of the IMX PMU driver to enable support for I.MX95
- Enable support for tertiary match groups in the CMN PMU driver
- Initial refactoring of the CPU PMU code to prepare for the fixed
instruction counter introduced by Arm v9.4
- Add missing PMU driver MODULE_DESCRIPTION() strings
- Hook up DT compatibles for recent CPU PMUs
Kselftest updates:
- Kernel mode NEON fp-stress
- Cleanups, spelling mistakes
Miscellaneous:
- arm64 Documentation update with a minor clarification on TBI
- Fix missing IPI statistics
- Implement raw_smp_processor_id() using thread_info rather than a

While Documentation/kbuild/kconfig-language.rst provides a brief
explanation, there are recurring confusions regarding the usage of a
prompt followed by 'if <expr>'. This conditional controls _only_ the
prompt.
A typical usage is as follows:
menuconfig BLOCK
bool "Enable the block layer" if EXPERT
default y
When EXPERT=n, the prompt is hidden, but this config entry is still
active, and BLOCK is set to its default value 'y'. This is reasonable
because you are likely want to enable the block device support. When
EXPERT=y, the prompt is shown, allowing you to toggle BLOCK.
Please note that it is different from 'depends on EXPERT', which would
enable and disable the entire config entry.
However, this conditional prompt has never worked in a choice block.
The following two work in the same way: when EXPERT is disabled, the
choice block is entirely disabled.
[Test Code 1]
choice
prompt "choose" if EXPERT
config A
bool "A"
config B
bool "B"
endchoice
[Test Code 2]
choice
prompt "choose"
depends on EXPERT
config A
bool "A"
config B
bool "B"
endchoice
I believe the first case should hide only the prompt, producing the
default:
CONFIG_A=y
# CONFIG_B is not set
The next commit will change (fix) the behavior of the conditional prompt
in choice blocks.
I see several choice blocks wrongly using a conditional prompt, where
'depends on' makes more sense.
To preserve the current behavior, this commit converts such misuses.
I did not touch the following entry in arch/x86/Kconfig:
choice
prompt "Memory split" if EXPERT
default VMSPLIT_3G
This is truly the correct use of the conditional prompt; when EXPERT=n,
this choice block should silently select the reasonable VMSPLIT_3G,
although the resulting PAGE_OFFSET will not be affected anyway.
Presumably, the one in fs/jffs2/Kconfig is also correct, but I converted
it to 'depends on' to avoid any potential behavioral change.

Both ACPI_PROCESSOR and HOTPLUG_CPU are needed by ACPI_HOTPLUG_CPU.
Otherwise, we can have compiling error with the following configurations.
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU=n
CONFIG_ACPI_PROCESSOR=y
CONFIG_ACPI_HOTPLUG_CPU=y
arch/arm64/kernel/smp.c: In function ‘arch_unregister_cpu’:
arch/arm64/kernel/smp.c:563:9: error: implicit declaration of \
function ‘unregister_cpu’; did you mean ‘register_cpu’? \
[-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
563 | unregister_cpu(c);
| ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~
| register_cpu
Fix it by enabling ACPI_HOTPLUG_CPU when both ACPI_PROCESSOR and
HOTPLUG_CPU are enabled, consistent with other architectures like
x86 and loongarch.

In order to move arch_register_cpu() to be called via the same path
for initially present CPUs described by ACPI and hotplugged CPUs
ACPI_HOTPLUG_CPU needs to be enabled.
The protection against invalid IDs in acpi_map_cpu() is needed as
at least one production BIOS is in the wild which reports entries
in DSDT (with no _STA method, so assumed enabled and present)
that don't match MADT.

This generates noticeably better code with compilers that support it,
since we don't need to test the error register etc, the exception just
jumps to the error handling directly.
Note that this also marks SW_TTBR0_PAN incompatible with KCSAN support,
since KCSAN wants to save and restore the user access state.
KCSAN and SW_TTBR0_PAN were probably always incompatible, but it became
obvious only when implementing the unsafe user access functions. At
that point the default empty user_access_save/restore() functions
weren't provided by the default fallback functions.

A number of Arm Ltd CPUs suffer from errata whereby an MSR to the SSBS
special-purpose register does not affect subsequent speculative
instructions, permitting speculative store bypassing for a window of
time.
We worked around this for Cortex-X4 and Neoverse-V3, in commit:
7187bb7d0b5c7dfa ("arm64: errata: Add workaround for Arm errata 3194386 and 3312417")
... as per their Software Developer Errata Notice (SDEN) documents:
* Cortex-X4 SDEN v8.0, erratum 3194386:
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2432808/0800/
* Neoverse-V3 SDEN v6.0, erratum 3312417:
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2891958/0600/
Since then, similar errata have been published for a number of other Arm Ltd
CPUs, for which the mitigation is the same. This is described in their
respective SDEN documents:
* Cortex-A710 SDEN v19.0, errataum 3324338
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-1775101/1900/?lang=en
* Cortex-A720 SDEN v11.0, erratum 3456091
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2439421/1100/?lang=en
* Cortex-X2 SDEN v19.0, erratum 3324338
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-1775100/1900/?lang=en
* Cortex-X3 SDEN v14.0, erratum 3324335
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2055130/1400/?lang=en
* Cortex-X925 SDEN v8.0, erratum 3324334
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/109108/800/?lang=en
* Neoverse-N2 SDEN v17.0, erratum 3324339
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-1982442/1700/?lang=en
* Neoverse-V2 SDEN v9.0, erratum 3324336
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/SDEN-2332927/900/?lang=en
Note that due to shared design lineage, some CPUs share the same erratum
number.
Add these to the existing mitigation under CONFIG_ARM64_ERRATUM_3194386.
As listing all of the erratum IDs in the runtime description would be
unwieldy, this is reduced to:
"SSBS not fully self-synchronizing"
... matching the description of the errata in all of the SDENs.

Cortex-X4 erratum 3194386 and Neoverse-V3 erratum 3312417 are identical,
with duplicate Kconfig text and some unsightly ifdeffery. While we try
to share code behind CONFIG_ARM64_WORKAROUND_SPECULATIVE_SSBS, having
separate options results in a fair amount of boilerplate code, and this
will only get worse as we expand the set of affected CPUs.
To reduce this boilerplate, unify the two behind a common Kconfig
option. This removes the duplicate text and Kconfig logic, and removes
the need for the intermediate ARM64_WORKAROUND_SPECULATIVE_SSBS option.
The set of affected CPUs is described as a list so that this can easily
be extended.
I've used ARM64_ERRATUM_3194386 (matching the Neoverse-V3 erratum ID) as
the common option, matching the way we use ARM64_ERRATUM_1319367 to
cover Cortex-A57 erratum 1319537 and Cortex-A72 erratum 1319367.

Pull arm64 fixes from Will Deacon:
"The major fix here is for a filesystem corruption issue reported on
Apple M1 as a result of buggy management of the floating point
register state introduced in 6.8. I initially reverted one of the
offending patches, but in the end Ard cooked a proper fix so there's a
revert+reapply in the series.
Aside from that, we've got some CPU errata workarounds and misc other
fixes.
- Fix broken FP register state tracking which resulted in filesystem
corruption when dm-crypt is used
- Workarounds for Arm CPU errata affecting the SSBS Spectre
mitigation
- Fix lockdep assertion in DMC620 memory controller PMU driver
- Fix alignment of BUG table when CONFIG_DEBUG_BUGVERBOSE is
disabled"

arm64 provides an equivalent to the common kernel-mode FPU API, but in a
different header and using different function names. Add a wrapper
header, and export CFLAGS adjustments as found in lib/raid6/Makefile.
