2025-07-15dt-bindings: display: rockchip,dw-mipi-dsi: Drop address/size cellsDiederik de Haas1-6/+0
The "rockchip,dw-mipi-dsi" binding has allOf "snps,dw-mipi-dsi.yaml" which has allOf "dsi-controller.yaml", which already has #address-cells and #size-cells defined as '1' and '0' respectively. 2025-06-30dt-bindings: display: vop2: Add optional PLL clock property for rk3576Cristian Ciocaltea1-12/+44
As with the RK3588 SoC, RK3576 also allows the use of HDMI PHY PLL as an alternative and more accurate pixel clock source for VOP2. Document the optional PLL clock property. Moreover, given that this is part of a series intended to address some recent display problems, provide the appropriate tags to facilitate backporting. 2025-05-22dt-bindings: display: rockchip: Convert cdn-dp-rockchip.txt to yamlChaoyi Chen2-74/+170
Convert cdn-dp-rockchip.txt to yaml. Add new "port@1" property which represents the CDN DP output to keep the same style as the other display interfaces. This patch also changes the constraints for "phys" and "extcon". For the original binding, only one phy and the corresponding extcon can be specified. In the new binding, one or two phys can be specified. Since the RK3399 has two DP-USB PHYs, specifying one allows output via the corresponding PHY, while specifying two lets the driver choose one PHY for output. This rule also applies to extcon, which provides the cable state for the corresponding PHY. The hdmi-connector nodes are now functional and the new way to model hdmi ports nodes with both in and output port subnodes. 2022-05-04dt-bindings: display: rockchip: dw-hdmi: fix ports descriptionSascha Hauer1-15/+9
Current port description doesn't cover all possible cases. It currently expects one single port with two endpoints. When the HDMI connector is described in the device tree there can be two ports, first one going to the VOP and the second one going to the connector. Also on SoCs which only have a single VOP there will be only one endpoint instead of two. This patch addresses both issues. With this there can either be a single port ("port") , or two of them ("port@0", "port@1") when the connector is also in the device tree. Also the first or only port can either have one endpoint ("endpoint") for single VOP SoCs or two ("endpoint@0", "endpoint@1") for dual VOP SoCs. 2022-02-04dt-bindings: Improve phandle-array schemasRob Herring1-0/+2
The 'phandle-array' type is a bit ambiguous. It can be either just an array of phandles or an array of phandles plus args. Many schemas for phandle-array properties aren't clear in the schema which case applies though the description usually describes it. The array of phandles case boils down to needing: items: maxItems: 1 The phandle plus args cases should typically take this form: items: - items: - description: A phandle - description: 1st arg cell - description: 2nd arg cell With this change, some examples need updating so that the bracketing of property values matches the schema. 2021-06-21dt-bindings: Drop redundant minItems/maxItemsRob Herring1-2/+0
If a property has an 'items' list, then a 'minItems' or 'maxItems' with the same size as the list is redundant and can be dropped. Note that is DT schema specific behavior and not standard json-schema behavior. The tooling will fixup the final schema adding any unspecified minItems/maxItems. This condition is partially checked with the meta-schema already, but only if both 'minItems' and 'maxItems' are equal to the 'items' length. An improved meta-schema is pending.
