This allows easy booting to an OS (or generically adding a

Now that we have introduced default_linux_vm, the naming becomes
somewhat confusing, since there are two different images specified
for two different reasons.
By naming one of them _vm and the other _container
we surface their intended usage in their variable name.

Pipelines currently run at two main points:
- Pushes to pull requests
- Post-merge (after a commit is merged to the master branch)
There are two main reasons this has historically been done:
1. To catch any issues that may have been missed during PR validation
due to timing related factors (e.g., merge order into master).
2. To separate a more extensive set of tests from the PR validation
to reduce the feedback time for contributors in PRs.
PRs are ordered in master with mergify's merge queue, which helps
reduce timing related issues for (1). For (2), the current
post-merge tests are not significantly different from the PR
validation tests, so the value is limited. The main differentiation
is that the PR eval tool is only run in PR triggered pipelines and
always runs in non-PR triggered runs:
For example:
```
- task: CmdLine@2
displayName: Check if ${{ parameters.build_pkgs }} need testing
inputs:
script: stuart_pr_eval ...
condition: eq(variables['Build.Reason'], 'PullRequest')
```
It is rare for an issue not be found in the PR eval run. Therefore,
we are moving post-merge runs to a daily schedule. This will
still provide regular testing of the master branch while reducing
overall resource usage lending more capacity to PR validation runs
and the introduction of Clang pipelines.
These pipelines are scheduled to run daily at 5AM UTC chosen to
minimize overlap with other scheduled pipelines.

This commit removes OVMF IA32 from edk2 per RFC
https://edk2.groups.io/g/devel/topic/rfc_remove_ovmf_ia32_and/114152215.
OVMF IA32 is a 32 bit only platform that no longer represents the vast
majority of physical platforms. The RFC details more reasoning in
much more depth.
OVMF IA32 will be kept in a branch off the edk2-stable202508 tag for
any long term consumers; it will receive build break updates only
(e.g. if an upstream submodule changes location).

A change was made to the following pytool releases to prevent a
platform from needing to include additional logic to consider
command-line build variable parameters for PR evaluation.
- edk2-pytool-library v0.23.4
- edk2-pytool-extensions v0.29.11
Commit 33e58db was added as a workaround, but that is no longer
needed after these pytool updates, so revert it.

Details about a particular pipeline change over time - such as the
specific Linux distro or toolchain version. At the same time, the
pipeline files are directly referenced in Azure Pipelines to run the
pipeline and few users have access to change those details.
To make the files less likely to refer to outdated information over
time and reduce the need for an Azure Pipeline administrator to get
involved, the files are updated to drop specific details apart from
the host OS environment used in the pipeline.

QEMU for x86 has a nasty CPU hotplug bug of which the ramifications are
difficult to oversee, even though KVM acceleration seems to be
unaffected. This has been addressed in QEMU mainline, and will percolate
through the ecosystem at its usual pace. In the mean time, due to the
potential impact on production workloads, we will be updating OVMF to
abort the boot when it detects a QEMU build that is affected.
Tiancore's platform CI uses QEMU in TCG mode, and is therefore impacted
by this mitigation, unless its QEMU builds are updated. This has been
done for Ubuntu-GCC5, but Windows-VS2019 still uses a QEMU build that is
affected.
Aborting the boot upon detecting the QEMU issue will render all boot
tests carried out on Windows-VS2019 broken unless we implement the
'escape hatch' that enables proceed-at-your-own-risk mode, and permits
the boot to proceed even if the QEMU issue is detected.
So let's enable this for Windows-VS2019, and remove it again once it is
no longer needed.
