If memory bins are enabled for PEI, PEI will produce
Memory Allocation HOBs marked with gEfiMemoryTypeInformationGuid.
If these exist, DXE core will now process the stats from them
to have accurate numbers.

This commits splits out logic currently contained in
Gcd.c and Page.c to a new file called
MemoryBin.c. This is set up in preparation to
add support to PEI for memory bins (an S4 resume stability
feature).
MemoryBin.c takes all global state in as parameters so that
DXE core can use globals and PEI core can use HOBs.
There is no logic change here, just consolidating the
functionality to share with PEI.
This was requested not to be a library.

Migrate CoreSetMemoryTypeInformationRange() to not use globals so
it can be used in PEI as well.
This temporarily moves the EFI_MEMORY_STATISTICS structure to
DxeMain.h so that it can be used in Gcd.c as well as Page.c.
This will migrate to a different private header once that is included.

Fix the GCD memory type selection logic in DXE GCD initialization so persistent memory correctly takes precedence over special-purpose memory when both attributes are present.
The existing code/comment said persistent should win, but the condition order allowed special-purpose to overwrite persistent. This change swaps the checks so behavior matches the intended precedence and comment.

CoreSetMemoryTypeInformationRange() currently calculates the bin
size needed independently from the CalculateTotalMemoryBinSizeNeeded()
function. This commit updates to use that function and remove the
duplication.

Currently CalculateTotalMemoryBinSizeNeeded() does not take
runtime alignment granularity considerations into account. This
means that the GCD initialization code can choose resource desc
HOBs to use for the bin region that are actually too small and
fail to initialize the bins.
This fixes CalculateTotalMemoryBinSizeNeeded() to take the
alignment requirements into consideration, both for size and for
alignment of the bin address range.

Replace traditional `#ifndef`/`#define`/`#endif` include guards with
`#pragma` once.
`#pragma once` is a widely supported preprocessor directive that
prevents header files from being included multiple times. It is
supported by all toolchains used to build edk2: GCC, Clang/LLVM, and
MSVC.
Compared to macro-based include guards, `#pragma once`:
- Eliminates the risk of macro name collisions or copy/paste errors
where two headers inadvertently use the same guard macro.
- Eliminate inconsistency in the way include guard macros are named
(e.g., some files use `__FILE_H__`, others use `FILE_H_`, etc.).
- Reduces boilerplate (three lines replaced by one).
- Avoids polluting the macro namespace with guard symbols.
- Can improve build times as the preprocessor can skip re-opening the
file entirely, rather than re-reading it to find the matching
`#endif` ("multiple-include optimization").
- Note that some compilers may already optimize traditional include
guards, by recognzining the idiomatic pattern.
This change is made acknowledging that overall portability of the
code will technically be reduced, as `#pragma once` is not part of the
C/C++ standards.
However, this is considered acceptable given:
1. edk2 already defines a subset of supported compilers in
BaseTools/Conf/tools_def.template, all of which have supported
`#pragma once` for over two decades.
2. There have been concerns raised to the project about inconsistent
include guard naming and potential macro collisions.
Approximate compiler support dates:
- MSVC: Supported since Visual C++ 4.2 (1996)
- GCC: Supported since 3.4 (2004)
- Clang (LLVM based): Since initial release in 2007

During DXE core memory service initialization, the system would check
available resource descriptor hobs against the memory top from PHIT hob.
However, it is possible that a given resource descriptor hob will not be
larger than the cover the memory top, causing the Length calculation to
underflow.
This change adds a check for potential underflow before performing the
subtraction.

Current GCD logic uses plain addition calulation when iterating through
the resource descriptor hobs. However, if the resource descriptor is
incorrectly prepared, this could cause incorrect memory initialization
and other failures down the boot process.
This change adds an overflow check before using the value.

edk2 commit 3bd5c994c879f78e8e3d5346dc3b627f199291aa added usage
of EFI_MEMORY_ATTRIBUTE_MASK to edk2. However, it applied it
incorrectly to some places that should instead use
EFI_MEMORY_ACCESS_MASK. EFI_MEMORY_ACCESS_MASK contains the actual
HW page table access attributes (read protect, read only, no-execute),
whereas EFI_MEMORY_ATTRIBUTE_MASK contains the access attributes in
addition to some virtual attributes (special purpose and cpu crypto).
The GCD has a behavior where if SetMemorySpaceAttributes() is called
with only virtual attributes set, it will not call into CpuDxe to
change the attributes; 0 is a valid page table attribute set (it means
RWX). However, after the above change, this behavior was altered so
that if EFI_MEMORY_SP or EFI_MEMORY_CPU_CRYPTO is applied, in attempt
to just update these virtual attributes, the GCD will call into CpuDxe
and apply RWX instead, which is not the intention of the caller.
One other place this was done incorrectly was in CoreGetMemoryMap,
but that was fixed in f1567720b13a578ffa54716119f826df622babcd.
SetUefiImageMemoryAttributes() is also updated here because that
logic was copied from the check the GCD has about whether to call
CpuDxe or not. Now that the GCD has been corrected, this also
needs to be corrected.

CoreDumpGcdMemorySpaceMap() gets called on every update to
the GCD, but it only prints if DEBUG_GCD is set. However,
the compiler is not smart enough to remove all of this logic
if we are not printing anything, so we end up needlessly
allocating memory for the copy of the map and spending many
cycles looping through each entry, only to not print anything.
This code is compiled out on release builds, but slows down
debug builds that aren't printing at DEBUG_GCD level.
This patch updates CoreDumpGcdMemorySpaceMap() to shortcircuit
and immediately exit if DEBUG_GCD is not set. It also adds
the same logic to CoreDumpGcdIoSpaceMap(), which is called
less frequently, but has the same issue.

Today, SetUefiImageMemoryAttributes calls directly to the
CPU Arch protocol to set EFI_MEMORY_XP or EFI_MEMORY_RO on
image memory. However, this bypasses the GCD and so the GCD
is out of sync with the actual state of memory.
This can cause an issue in the scenario where a new attribute
is being set (whether a virtual attribute or a real HW attribute),
if the GCD attributes are queried for a region and the new attribute
is appended to the existing GCD attributes (which are incorrect),
then the incorrect attributes can get applied. This can result in
setting EFI_MEMORY_XP on code sections of images and causing an
execution fault.
This patch updates SetUefiImageMemoryAttributes to call into the
GCD to update the attributes there and let the GCD code call into
the CPU Arch protocol to update the page table.

Currently whenever gDS->SetMemorySpaceCapabilities() is called, it
attempts to set the corresponding attributes in the gMemoryMap
descriptor. However, gMemoryMap only contains entries from GCD types
EfiGcdMemoryTypeSystemMemory and EfiGcdMemoryTypeMoreReliable, so
for all other types a failure is reported in the code. This is a
failure that is expected, so it does not provide value and can
lead to real failures being ignored.
This patch updates the gDS->SetMemorySpaceCapabilities() code to
only call into updating gMemoryMap if the GCD type is SystemMemory
or MoreReliable, to avoid spurious errors being reported. This
also avoids the expensive operation of searching through gMemoryMap
for entries we know we will fail to find.

Provide an optional method for PEI to declare a specific address
range to use for the Memory Type Information bins. The current
algorithm uses heuristics that tends to place the Memory Type
Information bins in the same location, but memory configuration
changes across boots or algorithm changes across a firmware
updates could potentially change the Memory Type Information bin
location. If the bin locations move across an S4 save/resume
cycle, then the S4 resume may fail. Enabling this feature
increases the number of scenarios that an S4 resume operation
may succeed.
If the HOB List contains a Resource Descriptor HOB that
describes tested system memory and has an Owner GUID of
gEfiMemoryTypeInformationGuid, then use the address range
described by the Resource Descriptor HOB as the preferred
location of the Memory Type Information bins. If this HOB is
not detected, then the current behavior is preserved.
The HOB with an Owner GUID of gEfiMemoryTypeInformationGuid
is ignored for the following conditions:
* The HOB with an Owner GUID of gEfiMemoryTypeInformationGuid
is smaller than the Memory Type Information bins.
* The HOB list contains more than one Resource Descriptor HOB
with an owner GUID of gEfiMemoryTypeInformationGuid.
* The Resource Descriptor HOB with an Owner GUID of
gEfiMemoryTypeInformationGuid is the same Resource Descriptor
HOB that that describes the PHIT memory range.

This patch fixes an issue with VlvTbltDevicePkg introduced
by commit 5b91bf82c67b586b9588cbe4bbffa1588f6b5926.
The history is as below.
To support heap guard feature, 14dde9e903bb9a719ebb8f3381da72b19509bc36
added support for SetMemorySpaceAttributes() to handle page attributes,
but after that, a combination of CPU arch attributes and other attributes
was not allowed anymore, for example, UC + RUNTIME. It is a regression.
Then 5b91bf82c67b586b9588cbe4bbffa1588f6b5926 was to fix the regression,
and we thought 0 CPU arch attributes may be used to clear CPU arch
attributes, so 0 CPU arch attributes was allowed to be sent to
gCpu->SetMemoryAttributes().
But some implementation of CPU driver may return error for 0 CPU arch
attributes. That fails the case that caller just calls
SetMemorySpaceAttributes() with none CPU arch attributes (for example,
RUNTIME), and the purpose of the case is not to clear CPU arch attributes.
This patch filters the call to gCpu->SetMemoryAttributes()
if the requested attributes is 0. It also removes the #define
INVALID_CPU_ARCH_ATTRIBUTES that is no longer used.

We don't see any reason to forbid combining CPU arch attributes and

remaining code is enough to grab the interested bits for

Due to the fact that HeapGuard needs CpuArchProtocol to update page
attributes, the feature is normally enabled after CpuArchProtocol is
installed. Since there're some drivers are loaded before CpuArchProtocl,
they cannot make use HeapGuard feature to detect potential issues.
This patch fixes above situation by updating the DXE core to skip the
NULL check against global gCpu in the IsMemoryTypeToGuard(), and adding
NULL check against gCpu in SetGuardPage() and UnsetGuardPage() to make
sure that they can be called but do nothing. This will allow HeapGuard to
record all guarded memory without setting the related Guard pages to not-
present.
Once the CpuArchProtocol is installed, a protocol notify will be called
to complete the work of setting Guard pages to not-present.
Please note that above changes will cause a #PF in GCD code during cleanup
of map entries, which is initiated by CpuDxe driver to update real mtrr
and paging attributes back to GCD. During that time, CpuDxe doesn't allow
GCD to update memory attributes and then any Guard page cannot be unset.
As a result, this will prevent Guarded memory from freeing during memory
map cleanup.
The solution is to avoid allocating guarded memory as memory map entries
in GCD code. It's done by setting global mOnGuarding to TRUE before memory
allocation and setting it back to FALSE afterwards in GCD function
CoreAllocateGcdMapEntry().

Take the range in the resource descriptor HOB for the memory region described
by the PHIT as higher priority if it is big enough. It can make the memory bin
allocated to be at the same memory region with PHIT that has more better compatibility
to avoid memory fragmentation for some code practices assume and allocate <4G ACPI memory.
Also let the minimal memory size needed include the total memory bin size needed to
make sure memory bin could be allocated successfully.

added
The HOB List relocation should be at after all the tested memory resources added
(except the memory space that covers HOB List) to the memory services,
because the memory resource found in CoreInitializeMemoryServices()
may have not enough remaining resource for HOB List.
And the memory space that covers HOB List should be processed
after HOB List relocation to avoid the resources allocated by others
to corrupt HOB List before its relocation.
