2021-07-21ipv6: ioam: Support for IOAM injection with lwtunnelsJustin Iurman1-0/+1
Add support for the IOAM inline insertion (only for the host-to-host use case) which is per-route configured with lightweight tunnels. The target is iproute2 and the patch is ready. It will be posted as soon as this patchset is merged. Here is an overview: $ ip -6 ro ad fc00::1/128 encap ioam6 trace type 0x800000 ns 1 size 12 dev eth0 This example configures an IOAM Pre-allocated Trace option attached to the fc00::1/128 prefix. The IOAM namespace (ns) is 1, the size of the pre-allocated trace data block is 12 octets (size) and only the first IOAM data (bit 0: hop_limit + node id) is included in the trace (type) represented as a bitfield. The reason why the in-transit (IPv6-in-IPv6 encapsulation) use case is not implemented is explained on the patchset cover. 2021-07-21ipv6: ioam: Data plane support for Pre-allocated TraceJustin Iurman1-1/+1
Implement support for processing the IOAM Pre-allocated Trace with IPv6, see [1] and [2]. Introduce a new IPv6 Hop-by-Hop TLV option, see IANA [3]. A new per-interface sysctl is introduced. The value is a boolean to accept (=1) or ignore (=0, by default) IPv6 IOAM options on ingress for an interface: - net.ipv6.conf.XXX.ioam6_enabled Two other sysctls are introduced to define IOAM IDs, represented by an integer. They are respectively per-namespace and per-interface: - net.ipv6.ioam6_id - net.ipv6.conf.XXX.ioam6_id The value of the first one represents the IOAM ID of the node itself (u32; max and default value = U32_MAX>>8, due to hop limit concatenation) while the other represents the IOAM ID of an interface (u16; max and default value = U16_MAX). Each "ioam6_id" sysctl has a "_wide" equivalent: - net.ipv6.ioam6_id_wide - net.ipv6.conf.XXX.ioam6_id_wide The value of the first one represents the wide IOAM ID of the node itself (u64; max and default value = U64_MAX>>8, due to hop limit concatenation) while the other represents the wide IOAM ID of an interface (u32; max and default value = U32_MAX). The use of short and wide equivalents is not exclusive, a deployment could choose to leverage both. For example, net.ipv6.conf.XXX.ioam6_id (short format) could be an identifier for a physical interface, whereas net.ipv6.conf.XXX.ioam6_id_wide (wide format) could be an identifier for a logical sub-interface. Documentation about new sysctls is provided at the end of this patchset. Two relativistic hash tables are used: one for IOAM namespaces, the other for IOAM schemas. A namespace can only have a single active schema and a schema can only be attached to a single namespace (1:1 relationship). 2020-03-30net: ipv6: add support for rpl sr exthdrAlexander Aring1-1/+1
This patch adds rpl source routing receive handling. Everything works only if sysconf "rpl_seg_enabled" and source routing is enabled. Mostly the same behaviour as IPv6 segmentation routing. To handle compression and uncompression a rpl.c file is created which contains the necessary functionality. 2017-11-02License cleanup: add SPDX GPL-2.0 license identifier to files with no licenseGreg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+1
Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license. By default all files without license information are under the default license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2. Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0' SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and Philippe Ombredanne. How this work was done: Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of the use cases: - file had no licensing information it it. - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it, - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information, Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords. The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files. The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s) to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation. Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was: - Files considered eligible had to be source code files. - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5 lines of source - File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5 lines). All documentation files were explicitly excluded. The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license identifiers to apply. - when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was considered to have no license information in it, and the top level COPYING file license applied. For non */uapi/* files that summary was: SPDX license identifier # files ---------------------------------------------------|------- GPL-2.0 11139 and resulted in the first patch in this series. If that file was a */uapi/* path one, it was "GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note" otherwise it was "GPL-2.0". Results of that was: SPDX license identifier # files ---------------------------------------------------|------- GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 930 and resulted in the second patch in this series. - if a file had some form of licensing information in it, and was one of the */uapi/* ones, it was denoted with the Linux-syscall-note if any GPL family license was found in the file or had no licensing in it (per prior point). Results summary: SPDX license identifier # files ---------------------------------------------------|------ GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 270 GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 169 ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-2-Clause) 21 ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 17 LGPL-2.1+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 15 GPL-1.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 14 ((GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 5 LGPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 4 LGPL-2.1 WITH Linux-syscall-note 3 ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR MIT) 3 ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) AND MIT) 1 and that resulted in the third patch in this series. - when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became the concluded license(s). - when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a license but the other didn't, or they both detected different licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred. - In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics). - When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation. - If there was any question as to the appropriate license identifier, the file was flagged for further research and to be revisited later in time. In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation. Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so they are related. Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks in about 15000 files. In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the correct identifier. Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch version early this week with: - a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected license ids and scores - reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+ files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct - reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the different types of files to be modified. These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to generate the patches. 2017-08-08ipv6: sr: define core operations for seg6local lightweight tunnelDavid Lebrun1-1/+1
This patch implements a new type of lightweight tunnel named seg6local. A seg6local lwt is defined by a type of action and a set of parameters. The action represents the operation to perform on the packets matching the lwt's route, and is not necessarily an encapsulation. The set of parameters are arguments for the processing function. Each action is defined in a struct seg6_action_desc within seg6_action_table[]. This structure contains the action, mandatory attributes, the processing function, and a static headroom size required by the action. The mandatory attributes are encoded as a bitmask field. The static headroom is set to a non-zero value when the processing function always add a constant number of bytes to the skb (e.g. the header size for encapsulations). To facilitate rtnetlink-related operations such as parsing, fill_encap, and cmp_encap, each type of action parameter is associated to three function pointers, in seg6_action_params[]. All actions defined in seg6_local.h are detailed in [1]. 2016-11-16ipv6: sr: add option to control lwtunnel supportDavid Lebrun1-2/+3

Fix commit 6c8702c60b88 ("ipv6: sr: add support for SRH encapsulation and injection with lwtunnels") Without a proper option to control lwtunnel support for SR-IPv6, if CONFIG_LWTUNNEL=n then the IPv6 initialization fails as a consequence of seg6_iptunnel_init() failure with EOPNOTSUPP: NET: Registered protocol family 10 IPv6: Attempt to unregister permanent protocol 6 IPv6: Attempt to unregister permanent protocol 136 IPv6: Attempt to unregister permanent protocol 17 NET: Unregistered protocol family 10 Tested (compiling, booting, and loading ipv6 module when relevant) with possible combinations of CONFIG_IPV6={y,m,n}, CONFIG_IPV6_SEG6_LWTUNNEL={y,n} and CONFIG_LWTUNNEL={y,n}. 2016-11-10ipv6: sr: add core files for SR HMAC supportDavid Lebrun1-0/+1
This patch adds the necessary functions to compute and check the HMAC signature of an SR-enabled packet. Two HMAC algorithms are supported: hmac(sha1) and hmac(sha256). In order to avoid dynamic memory allocation for each HMAC computation, a per-cpu ring buffer is allocated for this purpose. A new per-interface sysctl called seg6_require_hmac is added, allowing a user-defined policy for processing HMAC-signed SR-enabled packets. A value of -1 means that the HMAC field will always be ignored. A value of 0 means that if an HMAC field is present, its validity will be enforced (the packet is dropped is the signature is incorrect). Finally, a value of 1 means that any SR-enabled packet that does not contain an HMAC signature or whose signature is incorrect will be dropped. 2016-11-10ipv6: sr: add support for SRH encapsulation and injection with lwtunnelsDavid Lebrun1-1/+1
This patch creates a new type of interfaceless lightweight tunnel (SEG6), enabling the encapsulation and injection of SRH within locally emitted packets and forwarded packets. >From a configuration viewpoint, a seg6 tunnel would be configured as follows: ip -6 ro ad fc00::1/128 encap seg6 mode encap segs fc42::1,fc42::2,fc42::3 dev eth0 Any packet whose destination address is fc00::1 would thus be encapsulated within an outer IPv6 header containing the SRH with three segments, and would actually be routed to the first segment of the list. If `mode inline' was specified instead of `mode encap', then the SRH would be directly inserted after the IPv6 header without outer encapsulation. The inline mode is only available if CONFIG_IPV6_SEG6_INLINE is enabled. This feature was made configurable because direct header insertion may break several mechanisms such as PMTUD or IPSec AH. 2016-11-10ipv6: sr: add code base for control plane support of SR-IPv6David Lebrun1-1/+1
This patch adds the necessary hooks and structures to provide support for SR-IPv6 control plane, essentially the Generic Netlink commands that will be used for userspace control over the Segment Routing kernel structures. The genetlink commands provide control over two different structures: tunnel source and HMAC data. The tunnel source is the source address that will be used by default when encapsulating packets into an outer IPv6 header + SRH. If the tunnel source is set to :: then an address of the outgoing interface will be selected as the source. The HMAC commands currently just return ENOTSUPP and will be implemented in a future patch. 2016-06-27netlabel: Initial support for the CALIPSO netlink protocol.Huw Davies1-0/+1
CALIPSO is a packet labelling protocol for IPv6 which is very similar to CIPSO. It is specified in RFC 5570. Much of the code is based on the current CIPSO code. This adds support for adding passthrough-type CALIPSO DOIs through the NLBL_CALIPSO_C_ADD command. It requires attributes: NLBL_CALIPSO_A_TYPE which must be CALIPSO_MAP_PASS. NLBL_CALIPSO_A_DOI. In passthrough mode the CALIPSO engine will map MLS secattr levels and categories directly to the packet label. At this stage, the major difference between this and the CIPSO code is that IPv6 may be compiled as a module. To allow for this the CALIPSO functions are registered at module init time. 2016-06-01fou: fix IPv6 Kconfig optionsArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
The Kconfig options I added to work around broken compilation ended up screwing up things more, as I used the wrong symbol to control compilation of the file, resulting in IPv6 fou support to never be built into the kernel. Changing CONFIG_NET_FOU_IPV6_TUNNELS to CONFIG_IPV6_FOU fixes that problem, I had renamed the symbol in one location but not the other, and as the file is never being used by other kernel code, this did not lead to a build failure that I would have caught. After that fix, another issue with the same patch becomes obvious, as we 'select INET6_TUNNEL', which is related to IPV6_TUNNEL, but not the same, and this can still cause the original build failure when IPV6_TUNNEL is not built-in but IPV6_FOU is. The fix is equally trivial, we just need to select the right symbol. I have successfully build 350 randconfig kernels with this patch and verified that the driver is now being built. Also, if CONFIG_IPV6=y, but CONFIG_IPV6_TUNNEL=m or CONFIG_IPV6_TUNNEL=n, the same problem happens for a different reason. This adds two new silent Kconfig symbols to work around both problems: - CONFIG_IPV6_FOU is now always set to 'm' if either CONFIG_NET_FOU=m or CONFIG_IPV6=m - CONFIG_IPV6_FOU_TUNNEL is set implicitly when IPV6_FOU is enabled and NET_FOU_IP_TUNNELS is also turned out, and it will ensure that CONFIG_IPV6_TUNNEL is also available. The options could be made user-visible as well, to give additional room for configuration, but it seems easier not to bother users with more choice here. This adds the ability to send ICMPv6 echo requests without a raw socket. The equivalent ability for ICMPv4 was added in 2011. Instead of having separate code paths for IPv4 and IPv6, make most of the code in net/ipv4/ping.c dual-stack and only add a few IPv6-specific bits (like the protocol definition) to a new net/ipv6/ping.c. Hopefully this will reduce divergence and/or duplication of bugs in the future. Caveats: - Setting options via ancillary data (e.g., using IPV6_PKTINFO to specify the outgoing interface) is not yet supported. - There are no separate security settings for IPv4 and IPv6; everything is controlled by /proc/net/ipv4/ping_group_range. - The proc interface does not yet display IPv6 ping sockets properly. 2013-01-09ipv6: move csum_ipv6_magic() and udp6_csum_init() into static libraryCong Wang1-1/+1
As suggested by David, udp6_csum_init() is too big to be inlined, move it to ipv6 static library, net/ipv6/ip6_checksum.c. And the generic csum_ipv6_magic() too. Cc: David S. 2012-12-16ipv6: Fix Makefile offload objectsSimon Arlott1-1/+1
The following commit breaks IPv6 TCP transmission for me: Commit 75fe83c32248d99e6d5fe64155e519b78bb90481 Author: Vlad Yasevich <vyasevic@redhat.com> Date: Fri Nov 16 09:41:21 2012 +0000 ipv6: Preserve ipv6 functionality needed by NET This patch fixes the typo "ipv6_offload" which should be "ipv6-offload". I don't know why not including the offload modules should break TCP. Disabling all offload options on the NIC didn't help. Outgoing pulseaudio traffic kept stalling. 2008-03-07[UDP]: Revert udplite and code split.David S. Miller1-2/+1
This reverts commit db1ed684f6c430c4cdad67d058688b8a1b5e607c ("[IPV6] UDP: Rename IPv6 UDP files."), commit 8be8af8fa4405652e6c0797db5465a4be8afb998 ("[IPV4] UDP: Move IPv4-specific bits to other file.") and commit e898d4db2749c6052072e9bc4448e396cbdeb06a ("[UDP]: Allow users to configure UDP-Lite."). First, udplite is of such small cost, and it is a core protocol just like TCP and normal UDP are. We spent enormous amounts of effort to make udplite share as much code with core UDP as possible. All of that work is less valuable if we're just going to slap a config option on udplite support. It is also causing build failures, as reported on linux-next, showing that the changeset was not tested very well. In fact, this is the second build failure resulting from the udplite change. Finally, the config options provided was a bool, instead of a modular option. Meaning the udplite code does not even get build tested by allmodconfig builds, and furthermore the user is not presented with a reasonable modular build option which is particularly needed by distribution vendors. 2007-07-11[IPV6] MIP6: Loadable module support for MIPv6.Masahide NAKAMURA1-1/+1
This patch makes MIPv6 loadable module named "mip6". Here is a modprobe.conf(5) example to load it automatically when user application uses XFRM state for MIPv6: alias xfrm-type-10-43 mip6 alias xfrm-type-10-60 mip6 Some MIPv6 feature is not included by this modular, however, it should not be affected to other features like either IPsec or IPv6 with and without the patch. We may discuss XFRM, MH (RAW socket) and ancillary data/sockopt separately for future work. Loadable features: * MH receiving check (to send ICMP error back) * RO header parsing and building (i.e. RH2 and HAO in DSTOPTS) * XFRM policy/state database handling for RO These are NOT covered as loadable: * Home Address flags and its rule on source address selection * XFRM sub policy (depends on its own kernel option) * XFRM functions to receive RO as IPv6 extension header * MH sending/receiving through raw socket if user application opens it (since raw socket allows to do so) * RH2 sending as ancillary data * RH2 operation with setsockopt(2) Signed-off-by: Masahide NAKAMURA <nakam@linux-ipv6.org> Signed-off-by: David S.
