2021-03-17module: remove never implemented MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICELeon Romanovsky1-1/+0
MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICE was added in pre-git era and never was implemented. We can safely remove it, because the kernel has grown to have many more reliable mechanisms to determine if device is supported or not. 2020-08-27rt2x00: Use fallthrough pseudo-keywordGustavo A. R. Silva1-1/+0
Replace the existing /* fall through */ comments and its variants with the new pseudo-keyword macro fallthrough[1]. Also, remove unnecessary fall-through markings when it is the case. 2018-03-27wireless: Use octal not symbolic permissionsJoe Perches1-1/+1
Prefer the direct use of octal for permissions. Done with checkpatch -f --types=SYMBOLIC_PERMS --fix-inplace and some typing. Miscellanea: o Whitespace neatening around these conversions. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
2017-08-10rt73usb: constify usb_device_idArvind Yadav1-1/+1
usb_device_id are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with usb_device_id provided by <linux/usb.h> work with const usb_device_id. So mark the non-const structs as const. Signed-off-by: Arvind Yadav <arvind.yadav.cs@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
2017-05-24rt2x00: convert rt2x00_desc_read return typeArnd Bergmann1-9/+9
This is a semi-automated conversion to change rt2x00_desc_read to return the register contents instead of passing them by value, resulting in much better object code. The majority of the patch was done using: sed -i 's:\(\<rt2x00_desc_read\>(.*, .*\), &\(.*\));:\2 = \1);:' \ -i 's:\(\<_rt2x00_desc_read\>(.*, .*\), &\(.*\));:\2 = \1);:' \ drivers/net/wireless/ralink/rt2x00/rt* Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>

2017-05-24rt2x00: change function pointers for register accessorsArnd Bergmann1-4/+13
This prepares the driver for changing all the 'read' register accessors to return the value instead of passing it by reference. Since a lot of them are used in callbacks, this takes care of the callbacks first, adding a couple of helpers that will be removed again one at a time. 2016-11-09rt2x00: add support for mac addr from device treeMathias Kresin1-4/+1
On some devices the EEPROMs of Ralink Wi-Fi chips have a default Ralink MAC address set (RT3062F: 00:0C:43:30:62:00, RT3060F: 00:0C:43:30:60:00). Using multiple of these devices in the same network can cause nasty issues. Allow to override the MAC in the EEPROM with (a known good) one set in the device tree to bypass the issue. 2016-04-12cfg80211: remove enum ieee80211_bandJohannes Berg1-11/+11
This enum is already perfectly aliased to enum nl80211_band, and the only reason for it is that we get IEEE80211_NUM_BANDS out of it. There's no really good reason to not declare the number of bands in nl80211 though, so do that and remove the cfg80211 one. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
2016-01-25rt2x00: fix monitor mode regressionEli Cooper1-1/+3
Since commit df1404650ccb ("mac80211: remove support for IFF_PROMISC") monitor mode for rt2x00 has been made effectively useless because the hardware filter is configured to drop packets whose intended recipient is not the device, regardless of the presence of monitor mode interfaces. This patch fixes this regression by adding explicit monitor mode support, and by configuring the hardware filter accordingly.
