2018-03-10arch: remove frv portArnd Bergmann1-210/+0
The Fujitsu FRV kernel port has been around for a long time, but has not seen regular updates in several years and instead was marked 'Orphaned' in 2016 by long-time maintainer David Howells. The SoC product line apparently is apparently still around in the form of the Socionext Milbeaut image processor, but this one no longer uses the FRV CPU cores. This removes all FRV specific files from the kernel. Link: http://www.socionext.com/en/products/assp/milbeaut/ Cc: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2017-03-02sched/headers: Prepare for new header dependencies before moving code to ↵Ingo Molnar1-0/+1
<linux/sched/task.h> We are going to split <linux/sched/task.h> out of <linux/sched.h>, which will have to be picked up from other headers and a couple of .c files. Create a trivial placeholder <linux/sched/task.h> file that just maps to <linux/sched.h> to make this patch obviously correct and bisectable. Include the new header in the files that are going to need it. <linux/sched/mm.h> We are going to split <linux/sched/mm.h> out of <linux/sched.h>, which will have to be picked up from other headers and a couple of .c files. Create a trivial placeholder <linux/sched/mm.h> file that just maps to <linux/sched.h> to make this patch obviously correct and bisectable. The APIs that are going to be moved first are: mm_alloc() __mmdrop() mmdrop() mmdrop_async_fn() mmdrop_async() mmget_not_zero() mmput() mmput_async() get_task_mm() mm_access() mm_release() Include the new header in the files that are going to need it. 2017-02-28mm: add new mmget() helperVegard Nossum1-1/+1
Apart from adding the helper function itself, the rest of the kernel is converted mechanically using: git grep -l 'atomic_inc.*mm_users' | xargs sed -i 's/atomic_inc(&\(.*\)->mm_users);/mmget\(\1\);/' git grep -l 'atomic_inc.*mm_users' | xargs sed -i 's/atomic_inc(&\(.*\)\.mm_users);/mmget\(\&\1\);/' This is needed for a later patch that hooks into the helper, but might be a worthwhile cleanup on its own. (Michal Hocko provided most of the kerneldoc comment.) 2008-02-05frv: use find_task_by_vpid in cxn_pin_by_pidPavel Emelyanov1-1/+1
The function is question gets the pid from sysctl table, so this one is a virtual pid, i.e. the pid of a task as it is seen from inside a namespace. So the find_task_by_vpid() must be used here. 2006-03-26[PATCH] frv: remove unnesesary "&"Akinobu Mita1-3/+3
Fix warning messages triggered by bitops code consolidation patches. cxn_bitmap is the array of unsigned long. '&' is unnesesary for the argument of *_bit() routins. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
