The Maxim PMIC datasheets describe the interrupt line as active low with a requirement of acknowledge from the CPU. Without specifying the interrupt type in Devicetree, kernel might apply some fixed configuration, not necessarily working for this hardware. Additionally, the interrupt line is shared so using level sensitive interrupt is here especially important to avoid races. 2020-11-22ARM: dts: exynos: switch Atmel mxt reset GPIO to active low on P4 NoteMartin Jücker1-1/+1
The reset GPIO logic of the Atmel maxtouch driver was changed to be active low at around the same time P4 Note device tree was accepted into the kernel. Adjust the configuration so that the touchscreen is in a usable state.
