2024-09-09ASoC: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König1-1/+1
After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all drivers below sound/soc to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. 2024-05-27ASoC: fsl: fsl_aud2htx: Switch to RUNTIME_PM_OPS()Fabio Estevam1-6/+5
Replace SET_RUNTIME_PM_OPS() with its modern alternative RUNTIME_PM_OPS(). The combined usage of pm_ptr() and RUNTIME_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to evaluate if the runtime suspend/resume() functions are used at build time or are simply dead code. This allows removing the __maybe_unused notation from the runtime suspend/resume() functions. 2023-10-09ASoC: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring1-2/+1
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it was merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-03-20ASoC: fsl: fsl_aud2htx: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König1-4/+2
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2022-08-25ASoC: fsl_aud2htx: register platform component before registering cpu daiShengjiu Wang1-4/+10
There is no defer probe when adding platform component to snd_soc_pcm_runtime(rtd), the code is in snd_soc_add_pcm_runtime() snd_soc_register_card() -> snd_soc_bind_card() -> snd_soc_add_pcm_runtime() -> adding cpu dai -> adding codec dai -> adding platform component. So if the platform component is not ready at that time, then the sound card still registered successfully, but platform component is empty, the sound card can't be used. As there is defer probe checking for cpu dai component, then register platform component before cpu dai to avoid such issue. And the behavior of imx_pcm_dma_init() is same as common devm_snd_dmaengine_pcm_register(), so use devm_snd_dmaengine_pcm_register() instead Signed-off-by: Shengjiu Wang <shengjiu.wang@nxp.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/1661430460-5234-1-git-send-email-shengjiu.wang@nxp.com Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2022-06-27ASoC: fsl: Migrate to new style legacy DAI naming flagCharles Keepax1-1/+2
Change the legacy DAI naming flag from opting in to the new scheme (non_legacy_dai_naming), to opting out of it (legacy_dai_naming). These drivers appear to be on the CPU side of the DAI link and currently uses the legacy naming, so add the new flag. 2020-11-05ASoC: fsl_aud2htx: Add aud2htx module driverShengjiu Wang1-0/+311
The AUD2HTX is a digital module that provides a bridge between the Audio Subsystem and the HDMI RTX Subsystem. This module includes intermediate storage to queue SDMA transactions prior to being synchronized and passed to the HDMI RTX Subsystem over the Audio Link. The AUD2HTX contains a DMA request routed to the SDMA module. This DMA request is controlled based on the watermark level in the 32-entry sample buffer.
