2012-07-14tipc: use standard printk shortcut macros (pr_err etc.)Erik Hugne1-1/+2
All messages should go directly to the kernel log. The TIPC specific error, warning, info and debug trace macro's are removed and all references replaced with pr_err, pr_warn, pr_info and pr_debug. Commonly used sub-strings are explicitly declared as a const char to reduce .text size. Note that this means the debug messages (changed to pr_debug), are now enabled through dynamic debugging, instead of a TIPC specific Kconfig option (TIPC_DEBUG). The latter will be phased out completely Signed-off-by: Erik Hugne <erik.hugne@ericsson.com> Signed-off-by: Jon Maloy <jon.maloy@ericsson.com> [PG: use pr_fmt as suggested by Joe Perches <joe@perches.com>] Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2012-04-30tipc: compress out gratuitous extra carriage returnsPaul Gortmaker1-3/+0
Some of the comment blocks are floating in limbo between two functions, or between blocks of code. Delete the extra line feeds between any comment and its associated following block of code, to be consistent with the majority of the rest of the kernel. Also delete trailing newlines at EOF and fix a couple trivial typos in existing comments. This is a 100% cosmetic change with no runtime impact. We get rid of over 500 lines of non-code, and being blank line deletes, they won't even show up as noise in git blame. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2012-04-19tipc: Ensure network address change doesn't impact local connectionsAllan Stephens1-1/+1
Revises routines that deal with connections between two ports on the same node to ensure the connection is not impacted if the node's network address is changed in mid-operation. The routines now treat the default node address of <0.0.0> as an alias for "this node" in the following situations: 1) Incoming messages destined to a connected port now handle the alias properly when validating that the message was sent by the expected peer port, ensuring that the message will be accepted regardless of whether it specifies the node's old network address or it's current one. 2) The code which completes connection establishment now handles the alias properly when determining if the peer port is on the same node as the connected port. An added benefit of addressing issue 1) is that some peer port validation code has been relocated to TIPC's socket subsystem, which means that validation is no longer done twice when a message is sent to a non-socket port (such as TIPC's configuration service or network topology service). 2011-03-13tipc: Cosmetic changes to node subscription codeAllan Stephens1-1/+20
Relocates the code that notifies users of node subscriptions so that it is adjacent to the rest of the routines that implement TIPC's node subscription capability. Renames the name table routine that is invoked by a node subscription to better reflect its purpose and to be consistent with other, similar name table routines. These changes are cosmetic in nature, and do not alter the behavior of TIPC. Signed-off-by: Allan Stephens <Allan.Stephens@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2010-12-03tipc: Remove obsolete inclusions of header filesAllan Stephens1-2/+0
Gets rid of #include statements that are no longer required as a result of the merging of obsolete native API header file content into other TIPC include files. 2008-09-03tipc: Don't use structure names which easily globally conflict.David S. Miller1-2/+2
Andrew Morton reported a build failure on sparc32, because TIPC uses names like "struct node" and there is a like named data structure defined in linux/node.h This just regexp replaces "struct node*" to "struct tipc_node*" to avoid this and any future similar problems. 2006-06-26[TIPC]: First phase of assert() cleanupAllan Stephens1-7/+8
This also contains enhancements to simplify comparisons in name table publication removal algorithm and to simplify name table sanity checking when shutting down TIPC. 2006-03-21[TIPC]: Fix simple sparse warningsSam Ravnborg1-1/+1
Tried to run the new tipc stack through sparse. Following patch fixes all cases where 0 was used as replacement of NULL. Use NULL to document this is a pointer and to silence sparse. This brough sparse warning count down with 127 to 24 warnings. Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Signed-off-by: Per Liden <per.liden@ericsson.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2006-01-13[TIPC] More updates of file headersPer Liden1-1/+1
Updated copyright notice to include the year the file was actually created. Information about file creation dates was extracted from the files in the old CVS repository at tipc.sourceforge.net. Signed-off-by: Per Liden <per.liden@nospam.ericsson.com>
2006-01-13[TIPC] Update of file headersPer Liden1-2/+1
The copyright statements from different parts of Ericsson have been merged into one. Signed-off-by: Per Liden <per.liden@nospam.ericsson.com>
2006-01-13[TIPC] License header updatePer Liden1-19/+23
The license header in each file now more clearly state that this code is licensed under a dual BSD/GPL. Before this was only evident if you looked at the MODULE_LICENSE line in core.c. Signed-off-by: Per Liden <per.liden@nospam.ericsson.com>
