The code for gso_max_size was added originally to allow for debugging and
workaround of buggy devices that couldn't support TSO with blocks 64K in
size. The original reason for limiting it to 64K was because that was the
existing limits of IPv4 and non-jumbogram IPv6 length fields.
With the addition of Big TCP we can remove this limit and allow the value
to potentially go up to UINT_MAX and instead be limited by the tso_max_size
value.
So in order to support this we need to go through and clean up the
remaining users of the gso_max_size value so that the values will cap at
64K for non-TCPv6 flows. In addition we can clean up the GSO_MAX_SIZE value
so that 64K becomes GSO_LEGACY_MAX_SIZE and UINT_MAX will now be the upper
limit for GSO_MAX_SIZE.
v6: (edumazet) fixed a compile error if CONFIG_IPV6=n,
in a new sk_trim_gso_size() helper.
netif_set_tso_max_size() caps the requested TSO size
with GSO_MAX_SIZE.

dev->gso_max_size is written under RTNL protection, or when the device is
not yet visible, but is read locklessly.
Add the READ_ONCE()/WRITE_ONCE() pairs, and use netif_set_gso_max_size()
where we can to better document what is going on.

Currently when PLPMTUD enters Error state, transport pathmtu will be set
to MIN_PLPMTU(512) while probe is continuing with BASE_PLPMTU(1200). It
will cause pathmtu to stay in a very small value, even if the real pmtu
is some value like 1000.
RFC8899 doesn't clearly say how to set the value in Error state. But one
possibility could be keep using BASE_PLPMTU for the real pmtu, but allow
to do IP fragmentation when it's in Error state.
As it says in rfc8899#section-5.4:
Some paths could be unable to sustain packets of the BASE_PLPMTU
size. The Error State could be implemented to provide robustness to
such paths. This allows fallback to a smaller than desired PLPMTU
rather than suffer connectivity failure. This could utilize methods
such as endpoint IP fragmentation to enable the PL sender to
communicate using packets smaller than the BASE_PLPMTU.
This patch is to set pmtu to BASE_PLPMTU instead of MIN_PLPMTU for Error
state in sctp_transport_pl_send/toobig(), and set packet ipfragok for
non-probe packets when it's in Error state.

Currently, in sctp_packet_config(), sctp_transport_pmtu_check() is
called to update transport pathmtu with dst's mtu when dst's mtu
has been changed by non sctp stack like xfrm.
However, this should only happen when SPP_PMTUD_ENABLE is set, no
matter where dst's mtu changed. This patch is to fix by checking
SPP_PMTUD_ENABLE flag before calling sctp_transport_pmtu_check().
Thanks Jacek for reporting and looking into this issue.

sctp_transport_pl_reset() is called whenever any of these 3 members in
transport is changed:
- probe_interval
- param_flags & SPP_PMTUD_ENABLE
- state == ACTIVE
If all are true, start the PLPMTUD when it's not yet started. If any of
these is false, stop the PLPMTUD when it's already running.
sctp_transport_pl_update() is called when the transport dst has changed.
It will restart the PLPMTUD probe. Again, the pathmtu won't change but
use the dst's mtu until the Search phase is done.
Note that after using PLPMTUD, the pathmtu is only initialized with the
dst mtu when the transport dst changes. At other time it is updated by
pl.pmtu. So sctp_transport_pmtu_check() will be called only when PLPMTUD
is disabled in sctp_packet_config().
After this patch, the PLPMTUD feature from RFC8899 will be activated
and can be used by users.

This patch does exactly what rfc8899#section-6.2.1.2 says:
The SCTP sender needs to be able to determine the total size of a
probe packet. The HEARTBEAT chunk could carry a Heartbeat
Information parameter that includes, besides the information
suggested in [RFC4960], the probe size to help an implementation
associate a HEARTBEAT ACK with the size of probe that was sent. The
sender could also use other methods, such as sending a nonce and
verifying the information returned also contains the corresponding
nonce. The length of the PAD chunk is computed by reducing the
probing size by the size of the SCTP common header and the HEARTBEAT
chunk.
Note that HB ACK chunk will carry back whatever HB chunk carried, including
the probe_size we put it in; We also check hbinfo->probe_size in the HB ACK
against link->pl.probe_size to validate this HB ACK chunk.

The sk's sk_route_caps is set in sctp_packet_config, and later it
only needs to change when traversing the transport_list in a loop,
as the dst might be changed in the tx path.
So move sk_route_caps check and set into sctp_outq_flush_transports
from sctp_packet_transmit. This also fixes a dst leak reported by
Chen Yi:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212227
As calling sk_setup_caps() in sctp_packet_transmit may also set the
sk_route_caps for the ctrl sock in a netns. When the netns is being
deleted, the ctrl sock's releasing is later than dst dev's deleting,
which will cause this dev's deleting to hang and dmesg error occurs:

This patch does what the rfc6951#section-5.3 says for ipv4:
"Within the UDP header, the source port MUST be the local UDP
encapsulation port number of the SCTP stack, and the destination port
MUST be the remote UDP encapsulation port number maintained for the
association and the destination address to which the packet is sent
(see Section 5.1).
Because the SCTP packet is the UDP payload, the length of the UDP
packet MUST be the length of the SCTP packet plus the size of the UDP
header.
The SCTP checksum MUST be computed for IPv4 and IPv6, and the UDP
checksum SHOULD be computed for IPv4 and IPv6."
Some places need to be adjusted in sctp_packet_transmit():
1. For non-gso packets, when transport's encap_port is set, sctp
checksum has to be done in sctp_packet_pack(), as the outer
udp will use ip_summed = CHECKSUM_PARTIAL to do the offload
setting for checksum.
2. Delay calling dst_clone() and skb_dst_set() for non-udp packets
until sctp_v4_xmit(), as for udp packets, skb_dst_set() is not
needed before calling udp_tunnel_xmit_skb().
then in sctp_v4_xmit():
1. Go to udp_tunnel_xmit_skb() only when transport->encap_port and
net->sctp.udp_port both are set, as these are one for dst port
and another for src port.
2. For gso packet, SKB_GSO_UDP_TUNNEL_CSUM is set for gso_type, and
with this udp checksum can be done in __skb_udp_tunnel_segment()
for each segments after the sctp gso.
3. inner_mac_header and inner_transport_header are set, as these
will be needed in __skb_udp_tunnel_segment() to find the right
headers.
4. df and ttl are calculated, as these are the required params by
udp_tunnel_xmit_skb().
5. nocheck param has to be false, as "the UDP checksum SHOULD be
computed for IPv4 and IPv6", says in rfc6951#section-5.3.

I changed to count sk_wmem_alloc by skb truesize instead of 1 to
fix the sk_wmem_alloc leak caused by later truesize's change in
xfrm in Commit 02968ccf0125 ("sctp: count sk_wmem_alloc by skb
truesize in sctp_packet_transmit").
But I should have also increased sk_wmem_alloc when head->truesize
is increased in sctp_packet_gso_append() as xfrm does. Otherwise,
sctp gso packet will cause sk_wmem_alloc underflow.

This reverts commit 22d7be267eaa8114dcc28d66c1c347f667d7878a.
The dst's mtu in transport can be updated by a non sctp place like
in xfrm where the MTU information didn't get synced between asoc,
transport and dst, so it is still needed to do the pmtu check
in sctp_packet_config.

Now sctp increases sk_wmem_alloc by 1 when doing set_owner_w for the
skb allocked in sctp_packet_transmit and decreases by 1 when freeing
this skb.
But when this skb goes through networking stack, some subcomponents
might change skb->truesize and add the same amount on sk_wmem_alloc.
However sctp doesn't know the amount to decrease by, it would cause
a leak on sk->sk_wmem_alloc and the sock can never be freed.
Xiumei found this issue when it hit esp_output_head() by using sctp
over ipsec, where skb->truesize is added and so is sk->sk_wmem_alloc.
Since sctp has used sk_wmem_queued to count for writable space since
Commit cd305c74b0f8 ("sctp: use sk_wmem_queued to check for writable
space"), it's ok to fix it by counting sk_wmem_alloc by skb truesize
in sctp_packet_transmit.

Other than asoc pmtu sync from all transports, sctp_assoc_sync_pmtu
is also processing transport pmtu_pending by icmp packets. But it's
meaningless to use sctp_dst_mtu(t->dst) as new pmtu for a transport.
The right pmtu value should come from the icmp packet, and it would
be saved into transport->mtu_info in this patch and used later when
the pmtu sync happens in sctp_sendmsg_to_asoc or sctp_packet_config.
Besides, without this patch, as pmtu can only be updated correctly
when receiving a icmp packet and no place is holding sock lock, it
will take long time if the sock is busy with sending packets.
Note that it doesn't process transport->mtu_info in .release_cb(),
as there is no enough information for pmtu update, like for which
asoc or transport. It is not worth traversing all asocs to check
pmtu_pending. So unlike tcp, sctp does this in tx path, for which
mtu_info needs to be atomic_t.

Now sctp GSO uses skb_gro_receive() to append the data into head
skb frag_list. However it actually only needs very few code from
skb_gro_receive(). Besides, NAPI_GRO_CB has to be set while most
of its members are not needed here.
This patch is to add sctp_packet_gso_append() to build GSO frames
instead of skb_gro_receive(), and it would avoid many unnecessary
checks and make the code clearer.
Note that sctp will use page frags instead of frag_list to build
GSO frames in another patch. But it may take time, as sctp's GSO
frames may have different size. skb_segment() can only split it
into the frags with the same size, which would break the border
of sctp chunks.

"A bigger than usual pull request for SELinux, 13 patches (lucky!)
along with a scary looking diffstat.
Although if you look a bit closer, excluding the usual minor
tweaks/fixes, there are really only two significant changes in this
pull request: the addition of proper SELinux access controls for SCTP
and the encapsulation of a lot of internal SELinux state.
The SCTP changes are the result of a multi-month effort (maybe even a
year or longer?) between the SELinux folks and the SCTP folks to add
proper SELinux controls. A special thanks go to Richard for seeing
this through and keeping the effort moving forward.
The state encapsulation work is a bit of janitorial work that came out
of some early work on SELinux namespacing. The question of namespacing
is still an open one, but I believe there is some real value in the
encapsulation work so we've split that out and are now sending that up

skb->csum_not_inet carries the indication on which algorithm is needed to
compute checksum on skb in the transmit path, when skb->ip_summed is equal
to CHECKSUM_PARTIAL. If skb carries a SCTP packet and crc32c hasn't been
yet written in L4 header, skb->csum_not_inet is assigned to 1; otherwise,
assume Internet Checksum is needed and thus set skb->csum_not_inet to 0.

This patch is almost to revert commit 02f3d4ce9e81 ("sctp: Adjust PMTU
updates to accomodate route invalidation."). As t->asoc can't be NULL
in sctp_transport_update_pmtu, it could get sk from asoc, and no need
to pass sk into that function.
It is also to remove some duplicated codes from that function.

This patch is to move sctp_transport_dst_check into sctp_packet_config
from sctp_packet_transmit and add pathmtu check in sctp_packet_config.
With this fix, sctp can update dst or pathmtu before appending chunks,
which can void dropping packets in sctp_packet_transmit when dst is
obsolete or dst's mtu is changed.
This patch is also to improve some other codes in sctp_packet_config.
It updates packet max_size with gso_max_size, checks for dst and
pathmtu, and appends ecne chunk only when packet is empty and asoc
is not NULL.
It makes sctp flush work better, as we only need to set up them once
for one flush schedule. It's also safe, since asoc is NULL only when
the packet is created by sctp_ootb_pkt_new in which it just gets the
new dst, no need to do more things for it other than set packet with
transport's pathmtu.

David Laight noticed the support for MSG_MORE with datamsg->force_delay
didn't really work as we expected, as the first msg with MSG_MORE set
would always block the following chunks' dequeuing.
This Patch is to rewrite it by saving the MSG_MORE flag into assoc as
David Laight suggested.
asoc->force_delay is used to save MSG_MORE flag before a msg is sent.
All chunks in queue would not be sent out if asoc->force_delay is set
by the msg with MSG_MORE flag, until a new msg without MSG_MORE flag
clears asoc->force_delay.
Note that this change would not affect the flush is generated by other
triggers, like asoc->state != ESTABLISHED, queue size > pmtu etc.
v1->v2:
Not clear asoc->force_delay after sending the msg with MSG_MORE flag.

Commit c86a773c7802 ("sctp: add dst_pending_confirm flag") introduced
a temporary variable "confirm" in sctp_packet_transmit.
But it broke the rule that longer lines should be above shorter ones.
Besides, this variable is not necessary, so this patch is to just
remove it and use tp->dst_pending_confirm directly.

Now that %z is standartised in C99 there is no reason to support %Z.
Unlike %L it doesn't even make format strings smaller.
Use BUILD_BUG_ON in a couple ATM drivers.
In case anyone didn't notice lib/vsprintf.o is about half of SLUB which
is in my opinion is quite an achievement. Hopefully this patch inspires
someone else to trim vsprintf.c more.

This patch is to add support for MSG_MORE on sctp.
It adds force_delay in sctp_datamsg to save MSG_MORE, and sets it after
creating datamsg according to the send flag. sctp_packet_can_append_data
then uses it to decide if the chunks of this msg will be sent at once or
delay it.
Note that unlike [1], this patch saves MSG_MORE in datamsg, instead of
in assoc. As sctp enqueues the chunks first, then dequeue them one by
one. If it's saved in assoc, the current msg's send flag (MSG_MORE) may
affect other chunks' bundling.
Since last patch, sctp flush out queue once assoc state falls into
SHUTDOWN_PENDING, the close block problem mentioned in [1] has been
solved as well.

Add new transport flag to allow sockets to confirm neighbour.
When same struct dst_entry can be used for many different
neighbours we can not use it for pending confirmations.
The flag is propagated from transport to every packet.
It is reset when cached dst is reset.

After adding sctp gso, sctp_packet_transmit is a quite big function now.
This patch is to extract the codes for packing packet to sctp_packet_pack
from sctp_packet_transmit, and add some comments, simplify the err path by
freeing auth chunk when freeing packet chunk_list in out path and freeing
head skb early if it fails to pack packet.

Commit 7303a1475008 ("sctp: identify chunks that need to be fragmented
at IP level") made the chunk be fragmented at IP level in the next round
if it's size exceed PMTU.
But there still is another case, PMTU can be updated if transport's dst
expires and transport's pmtu_pending is set in sctp_packet_transmit. If
the new PMTU is less than the chunk, the same issue with that commit can
be triggered.
So we should drop this packet and let it retransmit in another round
where it would be fragmented at IP level.
This patch is to fix it by checking the chunk size after PMTU may be
updated and dropping this packet if it's size exceed PMTU.

The prsctp polices include ttl expires policy already, we should remove
the old ttl expires codes, and just adjust the new polices' codes to be
compatible with the old one for users.
This patch is to remove all the old expires codes, and if prsctp polices
are not set, it will still set msg's expires_at and check the expires in
sctp_check_abandoned.
Note that asoc->prsctp_enable is set by default, so users can't feel any
difference even if they use the old expires api in userspace.

Now sctp uses chunk->resent to record if a chunk is retransmitted, for
RTT measurements with retransmitted DATA chunks. chunk->sent_count was
introduced to record how many times one chunk has been sent for prsctp
RTX policy before. We actually can know if one chunk is retransmitted
by checking chunk->sent_count is greater than 1.
This patch is to remove resent from sctp_chunk and reuse sent_count
to avoid retransmitted chunks for RTT measurements.

As David and Marcelo's suggestion, ENOMEM err shouldn't return back to
user in transmit path. Instead, sctp's retransmit would take care of
the chunks that fail to send because of ENOMEM.
This patch is only to do some release job when alloc_skb fails, not to
return ENOMEM back any more.
Besides, it also cleans up sctp_packet_transmit's err path, and fixes
some issues in err path:
- It didn't free the head skb in nomem: path.
- No need to check nskb in no_route: path.
- It should goto err: path if alloc_skb fails for head.
- Not all the NOMEMs should free nskb.

Every time when sctp calls sctp_outq_flush, it sends out the chunks of
control queue, retransmit queue and data queue. Even if some trunks are
failed to transmit, it still has to flush all the transports, as it's
the only chance to clean that transmit_list.
So the latest transmit error here should be returned back. This transmit
error is an internal error of sctp stack.
I checked all the places where it uses the transmit error (the return
value of sctp_outq_flush), most of them are actually just save it to
sk_err.
Except for sctp_assoc/endpoint_bh_rcv, they will drop the chunk if
it's failed to send a REPLY, which is actually incorrect, as we can't
be sure the error that sctp_outq_flush returns is from sending that
REPLY.
So it's meaningless for sctp_outq_flush to return error back.
This patch is to save transmit error to sk_err in sctp_outq_flush, the
new error can update the old value. Eventually, sctp_wait_for_* would
check for it.

Previously, without GSO, it was easy to identify it: if the chunk didn't
fit and there was no data chunk in the packet yet, we could fragment at
IP level. So if there was an auth chunk and we were bundling a big data
chunk, it would fragment regardless of the size of the auth chunk. This
also works for the context of PMTU reductions.
But with GSO, we cannot distinguish such PMTU events anymore, as the
packet is allowed to exceed PMTU.
So we need another check: to ensure that the chunk that we are adding,
actually fits the current PMTU. If it doesn't, trigger a flush and let
it be fragmented at IP level in the next round.

sctp needs to queue auth chunk back when we know that we are going
to generate another segment. But commit f1533cce60d1 ("sctp: fix
panic when sending auth chunks") requeues the last chunk processed
which is probably not the auth chunk.
It causes panic when calculating the MAC in sctp_auth_calculate_hmac(),
as the incorrect offset of the auth chunk in skb->data.
This fix is to requeue it by using packet->auth.

prsctp TTL policy is a policy to abandon chunks when they expire
at the specific time in local stack. It's similar with expires_at
in struct sctp_datamsg.
This patch uses sinfo->sinfo_timetolive to set the specific time for
TTL policy. sinfo->sinfo_timetolive is also used for msg->expires_at.
So if prsctp_enable or TTL policy is not enabled, msg->expires_at
still works as before.

When we introduced GSO support, if using auth the auth chunk was being
left queued on the packet even after the final segment was generated.
Later on sctp_transmit_packet it calls sctp_packet_reset, which zeroed
the packet len while not accounting for this left-over. This caused more
space to be used the next packet due to the chunk still being queued,
but space which wasn't allocated as its size wasn't accounted.
The fix is to only queue it back when we know that we are going to
generate another segment.
