We don't use the parameter result actually, so better to remove it and
skip a gcc warning for unused variable.

This is similar to commit 674d9de02aa7 ("NFC: Fix possible memory
corruption when handling SHDLC I-Frame commands").
I'm not totally sure, but I think that commit description may have
overstated the danger. I was under the impression that this data came
from the firmware? If you can't trust your networking firmware, then
you're already in trouble.
Anyway, these days we add bounds checking where ever we can and we call
it kernel hardening. Better safe than sorry.

Joe and Bjørn suggested that it'd be nicer to not have the
cast in the fairly common case of doing
*(u8 *)skb_put(skb, 1) = c;
Add skb_put_u8() for this case, and use it across the code,
using the following spatch:
@@
expression SKB, C, S;
typedef u8;
identifier fn = {skb_put};
fresh identifier fn2 = fn ## "_u8";
@@
- *(u8 *)fn(SKB, S) = C;
+ fn2(SKB, C);
Note that due to the "S", the spatch isn't perfect, it should
have checked that S is 1, but there's also places that use a
sizeof expression like sizeof(var) or sizeof(u8) etc. Turns
out that nobody ever did something like
*(u8 *)skb_put(skb, 2) = c;
which would be wrong anyway since the second byte wouldn't be
initialized.

It seems like a historic accident that these return unsigned char *,
and in many places that means casts are required, more often than not.
Make these functions return void * and remove all the casts across
the tree, adding a (u8 *) cast only where the unsigned char pointer
was used directly, all done with the following spatch:

drivers/isdn/i4l/isdn_bsdcomp.c and, oddly enough, one of the many
instances in net/bluetooth/hci_sock.c. In the former file, I also
had to fix one whitespace problem spatch introduced.

A common pattern with skb_put() is to just want to memcpy()
some data into the new space, introduce skb_put_data() for
this.

Some gates might need to have their pipes explicitly created.
Add a call to nci_hci_create_pipe in nci_hci_connect_gate for
every gate that is different than NCI_HCI_LINK_MGMT_GATE or
NCI_HCI_ADMIN_GATE.
In case of an error when opening a pipe, like in hci layer,
delete the pipe if it was created.

When sending HCI data over NCI, HCI return code is part
of the NCI data. In order to get correctly the HCI return
code, we assume the NCI communication is successful and
extract the return code for the nci_hci functions return code.
This is done because nci_to_errno does not match hci return
code value.

According to the NCI specification, one can use HCI over NCI
to talk with specific NFCEE. The HCI network is viewed as one
logical NFCEE.
This is needed to support secure element running HCI only
firmwares embedded on an NCI capable chipset, like e.g. the
st21nfcb.
There is some duplication between this piece of code and the
HCI core code, but the latter would need to be abstracted even
more to be able to use NCI as a logical transport for HCP packets.
