Pull networking fixes from Jakub Kicinski:
"Including fixes from IPSec, netfilter and Bluetooth.
Nothing really stands out, but as usual there's a slight concentration
of fixes for issues added in the last two weeks before the merge
window, and driver bugs from 6.13 which tend to get discovered upon
wider distribution.
Current release - regressions:
- net: revert RTNL changes in unregister_netdevice_many_notify()
- Bluetooth: fix possible infinite recursion of btusb_reset
- eth: adjust locking in some old drivers which protect their state
with spinlocks to avoid sleeping in atomic; core protects netdev
state with a mutex now
Previous releases - regressions:
- eth:
- mlx5e: make sure we pass node ID, not CPU ID to kvzalloc_node()
- bgmac: reduce max frame size to support just 1500 bytes; the
jumbo frame support would previously cause OOB writes, but now
fails outright

false detection of MPTCP blackholing

Stephan Wurm reported that my recent patch broke VLAN support.
Apparently skb->mac_len is not correct for VLAN traffic as
shown by debug traces [1].
Use instead pskb_may_pull() to make sure the expected header
is present in skb->head.

Pull driver core and debugfs updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the big set of driver core and debugfs updates for 6.14-rc1.
Included in here is a bunch of driver core, PCI, OF, and platform rust
bindings (all acked by the different subsystem maintainers), hence the
merge conflict with the rust tree, and some driver core api updates to
mark things as const, which will also require some fixups due to new
stuff coming in through other trees in this merge window.
There are also a bunch of debugfs updates from Al, and there is at
least one user that does have a regression with these, but Al is
working on tracking down the fix for it. In my use (and everyone
else's linux-next use), it does not seem like a big issue at the
moment.
Here's a short list of the things in here:
- driver core rust bindings for PCI, platform, OF, and some i/o
functions.
We are almost at the "write a real driver in rust" stage now,
depending on what you want to do.
- misc device rust bindings and a sample driver to show how to use
them
- debugfs cleanups in the fs as well as the users of the fs api for
places where drivers got it wrong or were unnecessarily doing
things in complex ways.
- driver core const work, making more of the api take const * for
different parameters to make the rust bindings easier overall.
- other small fixes and updates
All of these have been in linux-next with all of the aforementioned
merge conflicts, and the one debugfs issue, which looks to be resolved

Existing primitive has several problems:
1) calling conventions are clumsy - it returns a dentry reference
that is either identical to its second argument or is an ERR_PTR(-E...);
in both cases no refcount changes happen. Inconvenient for users and
bug-prone; it would be better to have it return 0 on success and -E... on
failure.
2) it allows cross-directory moves; however, no such caller have
ever materialized and considering the way debugfs is used, it's unlikely
to happen in the future. What's more, any such caller would have fun
issues to deal with wrt interplay with recursive removal. It also makes
the calling conventions clumsier...
3) tautological rename fails; the callers have no race-free way
to deal with that.
4) new name must have been formed by the caller; quite a few
callers have it done by sprintf/kasprintf/etc., ending up with considerable
boilerplate.
Proposed replacement: int debugfs_change_name(dentry, fmt, ...). All callers
convert to that easily, and it's simpler internally.
IMO debugfs_rename() should go; if we ever get a real-world use case for
cross-directory moves in debugfs, we can always look into the right way
to handle that.

Create an API to get the net_device to the slave port of HSR device. The
API will take hsr net_device and enum hsr_port_type for which we want the
net_device as arguments.
This API can be used by client drivers who support HSR and want to get
the net_devcie of slave ports from the hsr device. Export this API for
the same.
This API needs the enum hsr_port_type to be accessible by the drivers using
hsr. Move the enum hsr_port_type from net/hsr/hsr_main.h to
include/linux/if_hsr.h for the same.

A synchronize_rcu() was added by mistake in commit
c5a759117210 ("net/hsr: Use list_head (and rcu) instead
of array for slave devices.")
RCU does not mandate to observe a grace period after
list_add_tail_rcu().

larger skb for RedBox case.
Indeed, send_hsr_supervision_frame() will add
two additional components (struct hsr_sup_tlv

syzbot is able to feed a packet with 14 bytes, pretending
it is a vlan one.
Since fill_frame_info() is relying on skb->mac_len already,
extend the check to cover this case.

Following sequence in hsr_init_sk() is invalid :
skb_reset_mac_header(skb);
skb_reset_mac_len(skb);
skb_reset_network_header(skb);
skb_reset_transport_header(skb);
It is invalid because skb_reset_mac_len() needs the correct
network header, which should be after the mac header.
This patch moves the skb_reset_network_header()
and skb_reset_transport_header() before
the call to dev_hard_header().
As a result skb->mac_len is no longer set to a value
close to 65535.

This patch adds support for VLAN ctag based filtering at slave devices.
The slave ethernet device may be capable of filtering ethernet packets
based on VLAN ID. This requires that when the VLAN interface is created
over an HSR/PRP interface, it passes the VID information to the
associated slave ethernet devices so that it updates the hardware
filters to filter ethernet frames based on VID. This patch adds the
required functions to propagate the vid information to the slave
devices.

del_timer() and del_timer_sync() have been renamed to timer_delete()
and timer_delete_sync().
Inconsistent API usage makes the code a bit confusing, so replace with
the new APIs.
No functional changes intended.

from net, as it was superseded by

In the function hsr_proxy_annouance() added in the previous commit
5f703ce5c981 ("net: hsr: Send supervisory frames to HSR network
with ProxyNodeTable data"), the return value of the hsr_port_get_hsr()
function is not checked to be a NULL pointer, which causes a NULL
pointer dereference.
To solve this, we need to add code to check whether the return value
of hsr_port_get_hsr() is NULL.

syzbot reported that the seqnr_lock is not acquire for frames received
over the interlink port. In the interlink case a new seqnr is generated
and assigned to the frame.
Frames, which are received over the slave port have already a sequence
number assigned so the lock is not required.
Acquire the hsr_priv::seqnr_lock during in the invocation of
hsr_forward_skb() if a packet has been received from the interlink port.

syzbot found a new splat [1].
Instead of adding yet another spin_lock_bh(&hsr->seqnr_lock) /
spin_unlock_bh(&hsr->seqnr_lock) pair, remove seqnr_lock
and use atomic_t for hsr->sequence_nr and hsr->sup_sequence_nr.
This also avoid a race in hsr_fill_info().
Also remove interlink_sequence_nr which is unused.

"Interface can't change network namespaces" is rather an attribute,
not a feature, and it can't be changed via Ethtool.
Make it a "cold" private flag instead of a netdev_feature and free
one more bit.

NETIF_F_LLTX can't be changed via Ethtool and is not a feature,
rather an attribute, very similar to IFF_NO_QUEUE (and hot).
Free one netdev_features_t bit and make it a "hot" private flag.

This patch provides support for sending supervision HSR frames with
MAC addresses stored in ProxyNodeTable when RedBox (i.e. HSR-SAN) is
enabled.
Supervision frames with RedBox MAC address (appended as second TLV)
are only send for ProxyNodeTable nodes.
This patch series shall be tested with hsr_redbox.sh script.

Up till now the code to start HSR announce timer, which triggers sending
supervisory frames, was assuming that hsr_netdev_notify() would be called
at least twice for hsrX interface. This was required to have different
values for old and current values of network device's operstate.
This is problematic for a case where hsrX interface is already in the
operational state when hsr_netdev_notify() is called, so timer is not
configured to trigger and as a result the hsrX is not sending supervisory
frames to HSR ring.
This error has been discovered when hsr_ping.sh script was run. To be
more specific - for the hsr1 and hsr2 the hsr_netdev_notify() was
called at least twice with different IF_OPER_{LOWERDOWN|DOWN|UP} states
assigned in hsr_check_carrier_and_operstate(hsr). As a result there was
no issue with sending supervisory frames.
However, with hsr3, the notify function was called only once with
operstate set to IF_OPER_UP and timer responsible for triggering
supervisory frames was not fired.
The solution is to use netif_oper_up() and netif_running() helper
functions to assess if network hsrX device is up.
Only then, when the timer is not already pending, it is started.
Otherwise it is deactivated.

Simon reported that ndo_change_mtu() methods were never
updated to use WRITE_ONCE(dev->mtu, new_mtu) as hinted
in commit 501a90c94510 ("inet: protect against too small
mtu values.")
We read dev->mtu without holding RTNL in many places,
with READ_ONCE() annotations.
It is time to take care of ndo_change_mtu() methods
to use corresponding WRITE_ONCE()

Introduce RedBox support (HSR-SAN to be more precise) for HSR networks.
Following traffic reduction optimizations have been implemented:
- Do not send HSR supervisory frames to Port C (interlink)
- Do not forward to HSR ring frames addressed to Port C
- Do not forward to Port C frames from HSR ring
- Do not send duplicate HSR frame to HSR ring when destination is Port C

Up till now only single character ('A' or 'B') was used to provide
information of HSR slave network device status.
As it is also possible and valid, that Interlink network device may
be supported as well, the description must be more verbose. As a result
the full string description is now used.

commit e748d0fd66ab ("net: hsr: Disable promiscuous mode in
offload mode") disables promiscuous mode of slave devices
while creating an HSR interface. But while deleting the
HSR interface, it does not take care of it. It decreases the
promiscuous mode count, which eventually enables promiscuous
mode on the slave devices when creating HSR interface again.
Fix this by not decrementing the promiscuous mode count while
deleting the HSR interface when offload is enabled.

A failure during registration of the netdev notifier was not handled at
all. A failure during netlink initialization did not unregister the netdev
notifier.
Handle failures of netdev notifier registration and netlink initialization.
Both functions should only return negative values on failure and thereby
lead to the hsr module not being loaded.

If the packet type ID field in the Ethernet header is either ETH_P_PRP or
ETH_P_HSR, but it is not followed by an HSR tag, hsr_get_skb_sequence_nr()
reads an invalid value as a sequence number. This causes the above issue.
This patch fixes the issue by returning NULL if the Ethernet header is not
followed by an HSR tag.

The current code adds extra two bytes (i.e. sizeof(struct hsr_sup_tlv))
when offset for skb_pull() is calculated.
This is wrong, as both 'struct hsrv1_ethhdr_sp' and 'hsrv0_ethhdr_sp'
already have 'struct hsr_sup_tag' defined in them, so there is no need
for adding extra two bytes.
This code was working correctly as with no RedBox support, the check for
HSR_TLV_EOT (0x00) was off by two bytes, which were corresponding to
zeroed padded bytes for minimal packet size.

Since commit aed65af1cc2f ("drivers: make device_type const"), the driver
core can properly handle constant struct device_type. Move the hsr_type
variable to be a constant structure as well, placing it into read-only
memory which can not be modified at runtime.

dev_base_lock is going away, add netdev_set_operstate() helper
so that hsr does not have to know core internals.
Remove dev_base_lock acquisition from rfc2863_policy()
v3: use an "unsigned int" for dev->operstate,
so that try_cmpxchg() can work on all arches.

operstate_show() can omit dev_base_lock acquisition only
to read dev->operstate.
Annotate accesses to dev->operstate.
Writers still acquire dev_base_lock for mutual exclusion.

Syzkaller reported [1] hitting a warning after failing to allocate
resources for skb in hsr_init_skb(). Since a WARN_ONCE() call will
not help much in this case, it might be prudent to switch to
netdev_warn_once(). At the very least it will suppress syzkaller
reports such as [1].
Just in case, use netdev_warn_once() in send_prp_supervision_frame()
for similar reasons.

When MC (multicast) list is updated by the networking layer due to a
user command and as well as when allmulti flag is set, it needs to be
passed to the enslaved Ethernet devices. This patch allows this
to happen by implementing ndo_change_rx_flags() and ndo_set_rx_mode()
API calls that in turns pass it to the slave devices using
existing API calls.

The prp_fill_rct() function can fail. In that situation, it frees the
skb and returns NULL. Meanwhile on the success path, it returns the
original skb. So it's straight forward to fix bug by using the returned
value.

Struct hsr_sup_tlv describes HW layout and therefore it needs a __packed
attribute to ensure the compiler does not add any padding.
Due to the size and __packed attribute of the structs that use
hsr_sup_tlv it has no functional impact.
Add __packed to struct hsr_sup_tlv.

While adding support for parsing the redbox supervision frames, the
author added `pull_size' and `total_pull_size' to track the amount of
bytes that were pulled from the skb during while parsing the skb so it
can be reverted/ pushed back at the end.
In the process probably copy&paste error occurred and for the HSRv1 case
the ethhdr was used instead of the hsr_tag. Later the hsr_tag was used
instead of hsr_sup_tag. The later error didn't matter because both
structs have the size so HSRv0 was still working. It broke however HSRv1
parsing because struct ethhdr is larger than struct hsr_tag.
Reinstate the old pulling flow and pull first ethhdr, hsr_tag in v1 case
followed by hsr_sup_tag.

When port-to-port forwarding for interfaces in HSR node is enabled,
disable promiscuous mode since L2 frame forward happens at the
offloaded hardware.

Recently, when automatically merging -net and net-next in MPTCP devel
tree, our CI reported [1] a conflict in hsr, the same as the one
reported by Stephen in netdev [2].
When looking at the conflict, I noticed it is in fact the v1 [3] that
has been applied in -net and the v2 [4] in net-next. Maybe the v1 was
applied by accident.
As mentioned by Jakub Kicinski [5], the new condition makes more sense
before the net_ratelimit(), not to update net_ratelimit's state which is
unnecessary if we're not going to print either way.
Here, this modification applies the v2 but in -net.

If no frames has been exchanged with a node for HSR_NODE_FORGET_TIME, the
node will be deleted from the node_db list. If a frame is sent to the node
after it is deleted, a netdev_err message for each slave interface is
produced. This should not happen with dan nodes because of supervision
frames, but can happen often with san nodes, which clutters the kernel
log. Since the hsr protocol does not support sans, this is only relevant
for the prp protocol.

self_node_db is a list_head with one entry of struct hsr_node. The
purpose is to hold the two MAC addresses of the node itself.
It is convenient to recycle the structure. However having a list_head
and fetching always the first entry is not really optimal.
Created a new data strucure contaning the two MAC addresses named
hsr_self_node. Access that structure like an RCU protected pointer so
it can be replaced on the fly without blocking the reader.
