2021-03-18time/debug: Remove dentry pointer for debugfsGreg Kroah-Hartman1-4/+3
There is no need to keep the dentry pointer around for the created debugfs file, as it is only needed when removing it from the system. When it is to be removed, ask debugfs itself for the pointer, to save on storage and make things a bit simpler. 2018-11-23time: Add SPDX license identifiersThomas Gleixner1-0/+1
Update the time(r) core files files with the correct SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This work is based on a script and data from Philippe Ombredanne, Kate Stewart and myself. The data has been created with two independent license scanners and manual inspection. The following files do not contain any direct license information and have been omitted from the big initial SPDX changes: timeconst.bc: The .bc files were not touched time.c, timer.c, timekeeping.c: Licence was deduced from EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL As those files do not contain direct license references they fall under the project license, i.e. GPL V2 only. 2016-06-20time: Avoid timespec in udelay_testArnd Bergmann1-8/+8
udelay_test_single() uses ktime_get_ts() to get two timespec values and calculate the difference between them, while udelay_test_show() uses the same to printk() the current monotonic time. Both of these are y2038 safe on all machines, but we want to get rid of struct timespec anyway, so this converts the code to use ktime_get_ns() and ktime_get_ts64() respectively. 2014-11-21time: Rename udelay_test.c to test_udelay.cJohn Stultz1-0/+168
Kees requested that this test module be renamed for consistency sake, so this patch renames the udelay_test.c file (recently added to tip/timers/core for 3.17) to test_udelay.c Cc: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Cc: Greg KH <greg@kroah.com> Cc: Stephen Rothwell <sfr@canb.auug.org.au> Cc: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Cc: Ingo Molnar <mingo@elte.hu> Cc: Linux-Next <linux-next@vger.kernel.org> Cc: David Riley <davidriley@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: John Stultz <john.stultz@linaro.org>
