2016-07-17[media] doc-rst: Fix conversion for v4l2 core functionsMauro Carvalho Chehab1-3/+15
The conversion from DocBook lead into some conversion issues, basically due to the lack of proper support at kernel-doc. So, address them: - Now, the C files with the exported symbols also need to be added. So, all headers need to be included twice: one to get the structs/enums/.. and another one for the functions; - Notes should use the ReST tag, as kernel-doc doesn't recognizes it anymore; - Identation needs to be fixed, as ReST uses it to identify when a format "tag" ends. - kernel-doc doesn't escape things like *pointer, so we need to manually add a escape char before it. - On some cases, kernel-doc conversion requires violating the 80-cols, as otherwise it won't properly parse the source code. 2015-10-05[media] DocBook: Document tveeprom.hMauro Carvalho Chehab1-12/+68
This header declares the code and structures used to parse Hauppauge eeproms. As this is part of the V4L2 common, and used by several drivers, let's properly document it. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
2015-10-05[media] tveeprom: Remove two unused fields from structMauro Carvalho Chehab1-3/+0
The digitizer* fields aren't used. Remove them. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
2013-08-02include: Convert ethernet mac address declarations to use ETH_ALENJoe Perches1-1/+3
It's convenient to have ethernet mac addresses use ETH_ALEN to be able to grep for them a bit easier and also to ensure that the addresses are __aligned(2). Add #include <linux/if_ether.h> as necessary. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Acked-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <m.chehab@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2013-06-17[media] tveeprom: remove v4l2-chip-ident.h includeHans Verkuil1-0/+11
Replace the V4L2_IDENT_* usage with tveeprom-specific defines. This header is deprecated, so those defines shouldn't be used anymore. The em28xx driver is the only one that uses the tveeprom audio_processor field, so that has been updated to use the new tveeprom AUDPROC define. 2008-07-26V4L/DVB (8479): tveeprom/ivtv: fix usage of has_ir fieldHans Verkuil1-1/+6
has_ir was set to and compared to -1 in several cases, even though it is an u32. ivtv also contained a FIXME for an old kernel that could be removed. Thanks to Roel Kluin for creating an initial patch for this. Although I chose a different solution here it did help in pointing out the problem. 2006-12-10V4L/DVB (4812): Detect presence of IR receiver/IR transmitter in tveepromHans Verkuil1-1/+1
Thanks to input from Steven Toth from Hauppauge the tveeprom module has been extended to detect the presence of an IR transmitter (aka IR-blaster). Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org>
2005-12-02[PATCH] V4L: Add workaround for Hauppauge PVR150 with certain NTSC tuner modelsHans Verkuil1-0/+2
Add workaround for Hauppauge PVR150 hardware problem with tuner models 85, 99 and 112 (model numbers as reported by tveeprom). The audio standard autodetection does not always work correctly for these models. 2005-12-02[PATCH] V4L: tveeprom MAC address parsing/cleanupSteven Toth1-0/+2
- Added a mac address field to the tveeprom structure. - allow callers to query the MAC address. - removed some redundant eeprom parsing code in cx88-cards.c (specific to Hauppauge DVB products) Instead, placed calls directly to the single eeprom parsing function in tveeprom.c Signed-off-by: Steven Toth <stoth@hauppauge.com> Signed-off-by: Michael Krufky <mkrufky@m1k.net> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@brturbo.com.br> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
