2022-01-11ntb_hw_switchtec: Remove code for disabling ID protectionKelvin Cao1-2/+0
ID protection is a firmware setting for NT window access control. With it enabled, only the posted requests with requester IDs in the requester ID table will be allowed to access the NT windows. Otherwise all posted requests are allowed. Normally user will configure it statically via the Switchtec config file, and it will take effect when the firmware boots up. The driver can also toggle the ID protection setting dynamically, which will overwrite the static setting in the Switchtec config file as a side effect. Currently, the driver disables the ID protection. However, it's not necessary to disable the ID protection at the driver level as the driver has already configured the proper requester IDs in the requester ID table to allow the corresponding posted requests to hit the NT windows. Remove the code that disables the ID protection to make the static setting prevail. Note: ID protection is not applicable to non-posted requests. 2021-10-14PCI/switchtec: Add check of event supportLogan Gunthorpe1-0/+1
Not all events are supported by every gen/variant of the Switchtec firmware. To solve this, since Gen4, a new bit in each event header is introduced to indicate if an event is supported by the firmware. 2020-01-15PCI/switchtec: Add Gen4 MRPC GAS access permission checkKelvin Cao1-0/+5
Gen4 hardware provides new MRPC commands to read and write directly from any address in the PCI BAR (which Microsemi refers to as GAS). Since accessing BARs can be dangerous and break the driver, we don't want unprivileged users to have this ability. Therefore, require CAP_SYS_ADMIN for the local and remote GAS access MRPC commands. Privileged processes will already have access to the BAR through the sysfs resource file so this doesn't give userspace any capabilities it didn't already have. 2020-01-15PCI/switchtec: Separate Gen3 register structures into unionsLogan Gunthorpe1-14/+27

2020-01-15PCI/switchtec: Add 'generation' variableLogan Gunthorpe1-0/+6

2020-01-15PCI/switchtec: Rename generation-specific constantsLogan Gunthorpe1-4/+4

2019-04-18switchtec: Increase PFF limit from 48 to 255Wesley Sheng1-1/+1
The Switchtec devices supports two PCIe Function Frameworks (PFFs) per upstream port (one for the port itself and one for the management endoint), and each PFF may have up to 255 ports. Previously the driver only supported 48 of those ports, and the SWITCHTEC_IOCTL_EVENT_SUMMARY ioctl only returned information about those 48. Increase SWITCHTEC_MAX_PFF_CSR from 48 to 255 so the driver supports all 255 possible ports. Rename SWITCHTEC_IOCTL_EVENT_SUMMARY and associated struct switchtec_ioctl_event_summary to SWITCHTEC_IOCTL_EVENT_SUMMARY_LEGACY and switchtec_ioctl_event_summary_legacy with so existing applications work unchanged, supporting up to 48 ports. Add replacement SWITCHTEC_IOCTL_EVENT_SUMMARY and struct switchtec_ioctl_event_summary that new and recompiled applications support up to 255 ports. Increase the MW sizes with the addition of the BAR Setup Extension Register for the upper 32bits of a 64bits MW size. This increases the MW range to between 4K and 2^63. 2019-02-11ntb_hw_switchtec: NT req id mapping table register entry number should be 512Wesley Sheng1-2/+2
The number of available NT req id mapping table entries per NTB control register is 512. The driver mistakenly limits the number to 256. Fix the array size of NT req id mapping table. 2018-12-13switchtec: Add MRPC DMA mode supportWesley Sheng1-0/+16
MRPC normal mode requires the host to read the MRPC command status and output data from BAR. This results in high latency responses from the Memory Read TLP and potential Completion Timeout (CTO). Add support for MRPC DMA mode, including related macro definitions and data structures and code to: * Retrieve MRPC DMA mode version from adapter firmware * Allocate DMA buffer, register ISR, and enable DMA during init * Check MRPC execution status and get execution results from DMA buffer * Release DMA buffer and disable DMA function when unloading module MRPC DMA mode is a new feature of firmware, and the driver will fall back to MRPC normal mode if there is no support in the legacy firmware. Add a module parameter, "use_dma_mrpc", to select between MRPC DMA mode and MRPC normal mode. Since the driver automatically detects DMA support in the firmware, this parameter is just for debugging and testing. Include <linux/io-64-nonatomic-lo-hi.h> so that readq/writeq is replaced by two readl/writel on systems that do not support it. 2018-01-29ntb_hw_switchtec: Expand PFF CSR registersLogan Gunthorpe1-1/+14

2018-01-29ntb_hw_switchtec: Allow using Switchtec NTB in multi-partition setupsKelvin Cao1-0/+8
Allow using Switchtec NTB in setups that have more than two partitions. Note: this does not enable having multi-host communication, it only allows for a single NTB link between two hosts in a network that might have more than two. Use following logic to determine the NT peer partition: 1) If there are 2 partitions, and the target vector is set in the Switchtec configuration, use the partition specified in target vector. 2) If there are 2 partitions and target vector is unset use the only other partition as specified in the NT EP map. 3) If there are more than 2 partitions and target vector is set use the other partition specified in target vector. 4) If there are more than 2 partitions and target vector is unset, this is invalid and report an error.
