The driver logs a message when the default branch of switch statements are taken. Such information is useful when debugging, but these log items should not be seen for standard usage. Signed-off-by: Larry Finger <Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
2014-10-23bcma: fix build when CONFIG_OF_ADDRESS is not setHauke Mehrtens1-1/+1
Commit 2101e533f41a ("bcma: register bcma as device tree driver") introduces a hard dependency on OF_ADDRESS into the bcma driver. OF_ADDRESS is specifically disabled for the sparc architecture. This results in the following error when building sparc64:allmodconfig. drivers/bcma/main.c: In function 'bcma_of_find_child_device': drivers/bcma/main.c:150:3: error: implicit declaration of function 'of_translate_address' Fixes: 2101e533f41a ("bcma: register bcma as device tree driver") Reported-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> Reviewed-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Signed-off-by: John W. 2014-10-23xen/balloon: Don't continue ballooning when BP_ECANCELED is encounteredBoris Ostrovsky1-0/+3
Commit 3dcf63677d4e ("xen/balloon: cancel ballooning if adding new memory failed") makes reserve_additional_memory() return BP_ECANCELED when an error is encountered. This error, however, is ignored by the caller (balloon_process()) since it is overwritten by subsequent call to update_schedule(). This results in continuous attempts to add more memory, all of which are likely to fail again. We should stop trying to schedule next iteration of ballooning when the current one has failed. 2014-10-23usb: gadget: f_fs: remove redundant ffs_data_get()Robert Baldyga1-2/+0
During FunctionFS bind, ffs_data_get() function was called twice (in functionfs_bind() and in ffs_do_functionfs_bind()), while on unbind ffs_data_put() was called once (in functionfs_unbind() function). 2014-10-23Revert "usb: dwc3: dwc3-omap: Disable/Enable only wrapper interrupts in ↵Roger Quadros1-13/+2
prepare/complete" This reverts commit 02dae36aa649a66c5c6181157ddd806e7b4913fc. That commit is bogus in two ways: 1) There's no way dwc3-omap's ->suspend() can cause any effect on xhci's ->suspend(). Linux device driver model guarantees that a parent's ->suspend() will only be called after all children are suspended. dwc3-omap is the parent of the parent of xhci. 2) When implementing Deep Sleep states where context is lost, USBOTGSS_IRQ0 register, well, looses context so we _must_ rewrite it otherwise core IRQs will never be reenabled and USB will appear to be dead. 2014-10-23usb: musb: cppi41: restart hrtimer only if not yet doneThomas Gleixner1-1/+2
commit c58d80f52 ("usb: musb: Ensure that cppi41 timer gets armed on premature DMA TX irq") fixed hrtimer scheduling bug. There is one left which does not trigger that often. The following scenario is still possible: lock(&x->lock); hrtimer_start(&x->t); unlock(&x->lock); expires: t->function(); lock(&x->lock); lock(&x->lock); if (!hrtimer_queued(&x->t)) hrtimer_start(&x->t); unlock(&x->lock); if (!list_empty(x->early_tx_list)) ret = HRTIMER_RESTART; -> hrtimer_forward_now(...) } else ret = HRTIMER_NORESTART; unlock(&x->lock); and the timer callback returns HRTIMER_RESTART for an armed timer. This is wrong and we run into the BUG_ON() in __run_hrtimer(). This can happens on SMP or PREEMPT-RT. The patch fixes the problem by only starting the timer if the timer is not yet queued. 2014-10-23usb: dwc3: ep0: fix Data Phase for transfer sizes aligned to wMaxPacketSizeFelipe Balbi1-6/+13
According to Section 8.5.3.2 of the USB 2.0 specification, a USB device must terminate a Data Phase with either a short packet or a ZLP (if the previous transfer was a multiple of wMaxPacketSize). For reference, here's what the USB 2.0 specification, section 8.5.3.2 says: " 8.5.3.2 Variable-length Data Stage A control pipe may have a variable-length data phase in which the host requests more data than is contained in the specified data structure. When all of the data structure is returned to the host, the function should indicate that the Data stage is ended by returning a packet that is shorter than the MaxPacketSize for the pipe. If the data structure is an exact multiple of wMaxPacketSize for the pipe, the function will return a zero-length packet to indicate the end of the Data stage. Currently the amd-xgbe driver increments the packets processed counter each time a descriptor is processed. Since a packet can be represented by more than one descriptor incrementing the counter in this way is not appropriate. Also, since multiple descriptors cause the budget check to be short circuited, sometimes the returned value from the poll function would be larger than the budget value resulting in a WARN_ONCE being triggered. 2014-10-23net: fec: ptp: fix NULL pointer dereference if ptp_clock is not setPhilipp Zabel1-1/+2
Since commit 278d24047891 (net: fec: ptp: Enable PPS output based on ptp clock) fec_enet_interrupt calls fec_ptp_check_pps_event unconditionally, which calls into ptp_clock_event. If fep->ptp_clock is NULL, ptp_clock_event tries to dereference the NULL pointer. Since on i.MX53 fep->bufdesc_ex is not set, fec_ptp_init is never called, and fep->ptp_clock is NULL, which reliably causes a kernel panic. The mac-fcc already includes code to set the promiscuous mode back during the restart. This patch adds the same handling to mac-fec and mac-scc. Tested with bridge function on MPC885 with FEC. 2014-10-22null_blk: Cleanup error recovery in null_add_dev()Jan Kara1-7/+7
When creation of queues fails in init_driver_queues(), we free the queues. But null_add_dev() doesn't test for this failure and continues with the setup leading to strange consequences, likely oops. Fix the problem by testing whether init_driver_queues() failed and do proper error cleanup. Coverity-id: 1148005 Signed-off-by: Jan Kara <jack@suse.cz> Signed-off-by: Jens Axboe <axboe@fb.com>
2014-10-22spi: orion: fix potential NULL pointer de-referenceGreg Ungerer1-1/+1
It's possible that the call to of_match_device() (introduced in commit df59fa7f ["spi: orion: support armada extended baud rates"]) may return a NULL if there is no match in the device tree (or perhaps no device tree at all). Check the return pointer and set the local device data to the lowest common denominator orion device data if it is NULL. 2014-10-22OMAPDSS: DSI: Fix PLL_SELFEQDCO field widthTomi Valkeinen1-1/+1
PLL_SELFREQDCO bitfield is from bit 3 to 1, but the driver writes bits from 4 to 1. The bit 4 is 'reserved', so this probably should not cause any issues, but it's better to fix it. Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>

2014-10-22OMAPDSS: HDMI: fix PLL GO bit handlingTomi Valkeinen1-2/+2
The PLL settings are committed by setting GO bit, which is then cleared by the HW when the settings have been taken into use. The current PLL code handles this wrong: instead of waiting for the bit to be cleared, it waits for the bit to be set. Usually, the bit is always set, as the CPU has just set it before. However, if the CPU takes enough time between setting the GO bit and checking it, the HW may already have cleared the bit and this leads to timeout error. Fix the wait to check the bit properly. 2014-10-22OMAPFB: fix releasing overlaysTomi Valkeinen1-0/+3
omapfb disables all the overlays when freeing resources, but it should also remove those overlays from overlay managers. Not doing so causes a crash if omapfb is unbound and bound, or omapfb module is removed and loaded, while keeping omapdss around. Fix this by calling unset_manager() for all overlays. 2014-10-22OMAPFB: fix overlay disable when freeing resources.Tomi Valkeinen1-7/+3
When omapfb is shutting down, it will disable all the overlays. However, instead of actually disabling all the overlays, it disables only all the overlays that are currently attached to framebuffers. On OMAP4+, this leaves the fourth overlay left enabled. Fix the loop so that we actually go through all the overlays. Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>
