2018-04-30backlight: pandora: Stop using BL_CORE_DRIVER1Daniel Vetter1-7/+18
Leaking driver internal tracking into the already massively confusing backlight power tracking is really confusing. Stop that by allocating a tiny driver private data structure instead. 2014-08-28backlight: Remove .owner field for drivers using module_platform_driverPeter Griffin1-1/+0
This patch removes the superflous .owner field for drivers which use the module_platform_driver or platform_driver_register api, as this is overriden in __platform_driver_register. Signed-off-by: Peter Griffin <peter.griffin@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>
2014-06-23backlight: Remove trivial get_brightness implementationsAndrzej Hajda1-6/+0
Since backlight core returns props.brightness in case get_brightness is not implemented trivial implementations are not needed anymore. Acked-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Andrzej Hajda <a.hajda@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

2012-03-24backlight: add support for Pandora backlightGrazvydas Ignotas1-0/+171
Add support for pandora (openpandora.org) backlight. It might look like all this could be done using pwm_bl.c instead, but there is a need of special programming sequence when turning on the LED driver chip or else it will misbehave. Doing this using pwm_bl.c would require to use some register programming and pwm functions from platform code, and ARM maintainers are allergic to driver-like code in /arch/arm nowadays. The PMIC PWM driver is currently missing too, so pwm_bl.c can't be used anyway.
