2015-05-07usb: musb: Fix up DMA related macrosTony Lindgren1-1/+1
Pass struct musb to tusb_dma_omap() and is_cppi_enabled(), and add macros for the other DMA controllers. Populate the platform specific quirks with the DMA type and use it during runtime. Note that platform glue layers with no custom DMA code are tagged with MUSB_DMA_INVENTRA which may have a chance of working. Looks like the defconfigs for these use PIO_ONLY, so this should not break existing configs. Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>

2014-11-03usb: move the OTG state from the USB PHY to the OTG structureAntoine Tenart1-5/+5
Before using the PHY framework instead of the USB PHY one, we need to move the OTG state into another place, since it won't be available when USB PHY isn't used. This patch moves the OTG state into the OTG structure, and makes all the needed modifications in the drivers using the OTG state. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-next Felipe writes: usb: patches for v3.17 merge window Surprisingly enough, while a big set of patches, the majority is composed of cleanups (using devm_*, fixing sparse errors, moving code around, adding const, etc). 2014-06-19usb: musb: ux500: don't propagate the OF nodeLinus Walleij1-1/+0
There is a regression in the upcoming v3.16-rc1, that is caused by a problem that has been around for a while but now finally hangs the system. The bootcrawl looks like this: pinctrl-nomadik soc:pinctrl: pin GPIO256_AF28 already requested by a03e0000.usb_per5; cannot claim for musb-hdrc.0.auto pinctrl-nomadik soc:pinctrl: pin-256 (musb-hdrc.0.auto) status -22 pinctrl-nomadik soc:pinctrl: could not request pin 256 (GPIO256_AF28) from group usb_a_1 on device pinctrl-nomadik musb-hdrc musb-hdrc.0.auto: Error applying setting, reverse things back HS USB OTG: no transceiver configured musb-hdrc musb-hdrc.0.auto: musb_init_controller failed with status -517 platform musb-hdrc.0.auto: Driver musb-hdrc requests probe deferral (...) The ux500 MUSB driver propagates the OF node to the dynamically created musb-hdrc device, which is incorrect as it makes the OF core believe there are two devices spun from the very same DT node, which confuses other parts of the device core, notably the pin control subsystem, which will try to apply all the pin control settings also to the HDRC device as it gets instantiated. (The OMAP2430 for example, does not set the of_node member.) 2013-09-26usb: musb: ux500: Don't supply a con_id when requesting the clockLee Jones1-1/+1
If we supply a con_id then the clock framework will search for that name in MUSB's Device Tree node for the 'clock-names' property. If it's absent the clock request will fail. However, if we don't supply the con_id then clk_get() will call into clk_sys() which will use the device name to search for the appropriate clock, which is much more natural than forcing 'usb'. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC driver specific changes from Arnd Bergmann: "These changes are all driver specific and cross over between arm-soc contents and some other subsystem, in these cases cpufreq, crypto, dma, pinctrl, mailbox and usb, and the subsystem owners agreed to have these changes merged through arm-soc. As we proceed to untangle the dependencies between platform code and driver code, the amount of changes in this category is fortunately shrinking, for 3.11 we have 16 branches here and 101 non-merge changesets, the majority of which are for the stedma40 dma engine driver used in the ux500 platform. Cleaning up that code touches multiple subsystems, but gets rid of the dependency in the end. The mailbox code moved out from mach-omap2 to drivers/mailbox is an intermediate step and is still omap specific at the moment. Patches exist to generalize the subsystem and add other drivers with the same API, but those did not make it for 3.11." * tag 'drivers-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (101 commits) crypto: ux500: use dmaengine_submit API crypto: ux500: use dmaengine_prep_slave_sg API crypto: ux500: use dmaengine_device_control API crypto: ux500/crypt: add missing __iomem qualifiers crypto: ux500/hash: add missing static qualifiers crypto: ux500/hash: use readl on iomem addresses dmaengine: ste_dma40: Declare memcpy config as static ARM: ux500: Remove mop500_snowball_ethernet_clock_enable() ARM: ux500: Correct the EN_3v3 regulator's on/off GPIO ARM: ux500: Provide a AB8500 GPIO Device Tree node gpio: rcar: fix gpio_rcar_of_table gpio-rcar: Remove #ifdef CONFIG_OF around OF-specific sections gpio-rcar: Reference core gpio documentation in the DT bindings clk: exynos5250: Add enum entries for divider clock of i2s1 and i2s2 ARM: dts: Update Samsung I2S documentation ARM: dts: add clock provider information for i2s controllers in Exynos5250 ARM: dts: add Exynos audio subsystem clock controller node clk: samsung: register audio subsystem clocks using common clock framework ARM: dts: use #include for all device trees for Samsung pinctrl: s3c24xx: use correct header for chained_irq functions ...

2012-11-06usb: musb: remove generic_interruptPhilippe De Swert1-0/+22
This patch is based on the discussion of a previous patch to fix an issue where the omap2430 musb driver is not working for N9/N950. Moving all the interrupt handling to the devices. Avoids inclusion of generic interrupt and breakage due to sometimes misleading CONFIG options. This makes sure usb always works if on of the subdrivers is chosen. Tested on Nokia N9/N950. Partially clean up CONFIG_SOC_OMAP3430 which is not necessary in the cases where I removed it. Also helps with the removal work of those options that Tony Lindgren predicted would happen at some point. 2012-01-31usb: musb: make modules behave betterFelipe Balbi1-5/+6
There's really no point in doing all that initcall trickery when we can safely let udev handle module probing for us. Remove all of that trickery, by moving everybody to module_init() and making proper use of platform_device_register() rather than platform_device_probe().
