2016-03-04usb: chipidea: otg: add A idle to B disconnect timerLi Jun1-2/+10
B-device detects that bus is idle for more than TB_AIDL_BDIS min and begins HNP by turning off pullup on DP, this allows the bus to discharge to the SE0 state. This timer was missed and failed with PET test: 6.8.5 B-UUT HNP of USB OTG and EH automated compliance plan v1.2, this patch is to fix this timing issue. 2016-03-04usb: chipidea: otg: enable HNP polling support for gadget and hostLi Jun1-0/+4
Enable HNP polling support for chipidea gadget and allocate memory for host request flag when otg fsm init. Acked-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Li Jun <jun.li@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@kernel.org>
2016-03-04usb: chipidea: otg: set host_request_flag for gadgetLi Jun1-1/+12
Set host_request_flag if the current peripheral wants to take host role via changing a_bus_req or b_bus_req by user application. Acked-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Li Jun <jun.li@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@kernel.org>
2015-12-24usb: chipidea: otg: use usb autosuspend to suspend bus for HNPLi Jun1-8/+18
Directly manipulate the controller regsiter to suspend the usb bus for HNP is not the proper way, this should be done through the usbcore by usb autosuspend. So to start HNP, autosuspend support should be added for OTG devices interface driver if it's not enabled. 2015-08-14usb: chipidea: otg_fsm: delete the duplicated reset controller operationPeter Chen1-1/+0
At host_stop, it will call usb_remove_hcd, and reset controller later. Signed-off-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@freescale.com>
2015-04-28usb: chipidea: otg: remove mutex unlock and lock while stop and start roleLi Jun1-4/+0
Wrongly release mutex lock during otg_statemachine may result in re-enter otg_statemachine, which is not allowed, we should do next state transtition after previous one completed. 2015-03-26usb: chipidea: use hrtimer for otg fsm timersLi Jun1-182/+182
Current otg fsm timers are using controller 1ms irq and count it, this patch is to replace it with hrtimer solution, use one hrtimer for all otg timers. 2015-03-26usb: otg-fsm: move 2 otg fsm timers definition to otg_fsm_timerLi Jun1-4/+4
B_DATA_PLS(data-line pulse time) and B_SSEND_SRP(session end to SRP init) are also from OTG&EH 2.0 Specification and they are not chipidea specific. 2015-03-26usb: chipidea: otg: remove unnecessary B_SESS_VLD timerLi Jun1-30/+1
Since BSV irq is enabled for B-device all the time, so B_SESS_VLD timer is not required, and also no need to check BSV status when B_ASE0_BRST timer timeout. 2015-03-18usb: chipidea: support runtime power management for otg fsm modeLi Jun1-3/+19
This patch adds runtime power management support for otg fsm mode, since A-device in a_idle state cannot detect data pulse irq after suspended, here enable wakeup by connection before suspend to make it can be resumed by DP; and handle wakeup from that state like SRP. 2014-11-26usb: chipidea: parameter 'mode' isn't needed for hw_device_resetPeter Chen1-1/+1
The hw_device_reset is dedicated to be used at device mode initializaiton, so delete the parameter 'mode'. For host driver, the ehci driver will handle all things. Signed-off-by: Peter Chen <peter.chen@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-next Felipe writes: usb: patches for v3.19 merge window This time, a very pull request with 216 non-merge commits. Most of the commits contained here are sparse or coccinelle fixes ranging from missing 'static' to returning 0 in case of errors. More importantly, we have the removal the now unnecessary 'driver' argument to ->udc_stop(). DWC2 learned about Dual-Role builds. Users of this IP can now have a single driver built for host and device roles. DWC3 got support for two new HW platforms: Exynos7 and AMD. The Broadcom USB 3.0 Device Controller IP is now supported and so is PLX USB338x, which means DWC3 has lost is badge as the only USB 3.0 peripheral IP supported on Linux. Thanks for Tony Lindgren's work, we can now have a distro-like kernel where all MUSB glue layers can be built into the same kernel (statically or dynamically linked) and it'll work in PIO (DMA will come probably on v3.20). Other than these, the usual set of cleanups and non-critical fixes. Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>

2014-11-03usb: chipidea: add support to the generic PHY frameworkAntoine Tenart1-1/+5
This patch adds support of the PHY framework for ChipIdea drivers. Changes are done in both the ChipIdea common code and in the drivers accessing the PHY. This is done by adding a new PHY member in ChipIdea's structures and by taking care of it in the code. 2014-11-03usb: allow to supply the PHY in the drivers when using HCDAntoine Tenart1-13/+3
This patch modify the generic code handling PHYs to allow them to be supplied from the drivers. This adds checks to ensure no PHY was already there when looking for one in the generic code. This also makes sure we do not modify its state in the generic HCD functions, it was provided by the driver. 2014-11-03usb: rename phy to usb_phy in OTGAntoine Tenart1-1/+1
This patch prepares the introduction of the generic PHY support in the USB OTG common functions. The USB PHY member of the OTG structure is renamed to 'usb_phy' and modifications are done in all drivers accessing it. Renaming this pointer will allow to keep the compatibility for USB PHY drivers. 2014-11-03usb: move the OTG state from the USB PHY to the OTG structureAntoine Tenart1-6/+6
Before using the PHY framework instead of the USB PHY one, we need to move the OTG state into another place, since it won't be available when USB PHY isn't used. This patch moves the OTG state into the OTG structure, and makes all the needed modifications in the drivers using the OTG state.
