2021-12-16rtc: gamecube: Add a RTC driver for the GameCube, Wii and Wii UEmmanuel Gil Peyrot1-0/+11
These three consoles share a device, the MX23L4005, which contains a clock and 64 bytes of SRAM storage, and is exposed on the EXI bus (similar to SPI) on channel 0, device 1. This driver allows it to be used as a Linux RTC device, where time can be read and set. The hardware also exposes two timers, one which shuts down the console and one which powers it on, but these aren’t supported currently. On the Wii U, the counter bias is stored in a XML file, /config/rtc.xml, encrypted in the SLC (eMMC storage), using a proprietary filesystem. In order to avoid having to implement all that, this driver assumes a bootloader will parse this XML file and write the bias into the SRAM, at the same location the other two consoles have it. 2021-08-10rtc: Improve performance of rtc_time64_to_tm(). Add tests.Cassio Neri1-0/+10
The current implementation of rtc_time64_to_tm() contains unnecessary loops, branches and look-up tables. The new one uses an arithmetic-based algorithm appeared in [1] and is approximately 4.3 times faster (YMMV). The drawback is that the new code isn't intuitive and contains many 'magic numbers' (not unusual for this type of algorithm). However, [1] justifies all those numbers and, given this function's history, the code is unlikely to need much maintenance, if any at all. Add a KUnit test case that checks every day in a 160,000 years interval starting on 1970-01-01 against the expected result. Add a new config RTC_LIB_KUNIT_TEST symbol to give the option to run this test suite. 2021-06-20rtc: bd70528: Drop BD70528 supportMatti Vaittinen1-4/+3
The only known BD70528 use-cases are such that the PMIC is controlled from separate MCU which is not running Linux. I am not aware of any Linux driver users. Furthermore, it seems there is no demand for this IC. Let's ease the maintenance burden and drop the driver. We can always add it back if there is sudden need for it. The driver will compile with warning without OF because armada38x_data and armada8k_data will be defined but not used. It would be possible to move then in the #ifdef CONFIG_OF section but then their members will be defined but not used. Instead of moving most of the driver in the #ifdef, simply depend on OF. 2021-02-03rtc: zynqmp: depend on HAS_IOMEMDavid Gow1-1/+1
The Xilinx zynqmp RTC driver makes use of IOMEM functions like devm_platform_ioremap_resource(), which are only available if CONFIG_HAS_IOMEM is defined. This causes the driver not to be enable under make ARCH=um allyesconfig, even though it won't build. By adding a dependency on HAS_IOMEM, the driver will not be enabled on architectures which don't support it. 2021-01-25rtc: mrst: Remove driver for deprecated platformAndy Shevchenko1-12/+0
Intel Moorestown and Medfield are quite old Intel Atom based 32-bit platforms, which were in limited use in some Android phones, tablets and consumer electronics more than eight years ago. There are no bugs or problems ever reported outside from Intel for breaking any of that platforms for years. It seems no real users exists who run more or less fresh kernel on it. The commit 05f4434bc130 ("ASoC: Intel: remove mfld_machine") also in align with this theory. Due to above and to reduce a burden of supporting outdated drivers we remove the support of outdated platforms completely. Merely enabling I2C and RTC selects REGMAP_I2C and REGMAP_SPI, even when no driver needs it. While the former can be moduler, the latter cannot, and thus becomes built-in. Fix this by moving the select statements for REGMAP_I2C and REGMAP_SPI from the RTC_I2C_AND_SPI helper to the individual drivers that depend on it. Note that the comment for RTC_I2C_AND_SPI refers to SND_SOC_I2C_AND_SPI for more information, but the latter does not select REGMAP_{I2C,SPI} itself, and defers that to the individual drivers, too.
