2013-08-22brcmsmac: change pa_gain for bcm4313 iPAArend van Spriel1-5/+2
The function wlc_lcnphy_load_tx_gain_table() has a target PA gain specified for the iPA variant of the bcm4313. This gain value is reduced to avoid PA distortion. The if-statement is removed because it was rather redundant in the first place. Please note that this patch does not provide full iPA support. FWS uses locking to protect its data while being called from various entries. On bus_txdata the lock was kept resulting in unnecessary long locking, but also creating possibility for deadlock. Transmit packets needs to be tagged in order to receive a tx status feedback from the firmware. Determine the tag in the netdev transmit callback instead of determining the tag just before transfer to the device. This reduces the number of exception flows and hence makes the driver code simpler. 2013-06-27brcmfmac: add broken scatter-gather DMA supportFranky Lin1-11/+67
DMA engine of some old SDIO host controllers require block size alignment for data length of each scatterlist item. This patch introduces an intermediate buffer list to support this kind of platform. It decreases the throughput because of an extra memcpy in critical data path. So don't turn this on unless it's necessary.
