2023-02-06net/sched: move struct tc_mqprio_qopt_offload from pkt_cls.h to pkt_sched.hVladimir Oltean1-1/+1
Since mqprio is a scheduler and not a classifier, move its offload structure to pkt_sched.h, where struct tc_taprio_qopt_offload also lies. Also update some header inclusions in drivers that access this structure, to the best of my abilities. 2022-11-25ch_ktls: Use memcpy_from_page() instead of k[un]map_atomic()Anirudh Venkataramanan1-14/+12
kmap_atomic() is being deprecated in favor of kmap_local_page(). Replace the map-memcpy-unmap usage pattern (done using k[un]map_atomic()) with memcpy_from_page(), which internally uses kmap_local_page() and kunmap_local(). This renders the variables 'data' and 'vaddr' unnecessary, and so remove these too. Note that kmap_atomic() disables preemption and page-fault processing, but kmap_local_page() doesn't. When converting uses of kmap_atomic(), one has to check if the code being executed between the map/unmap implicitly depends on page-faults and/or preemption being disabled. If yes, then code to disable page-faults and/or preemption should also be added for functional correctness. That however doesn't appear to be the case here, so just memcpy_from_page() is used. Also note that the page being mapped is not allocated by the driver, and so the driver doesn't know if the page is in normal memory. This is the reason kmap_local_page() is used (via memcpy_from_page()) as opposed to page_address(). I don't have hardware, so this change has only been compile tested. 2022-11-11ptp: convert remaining drivers to adjfine interfaceJacob Keller1-5/+8
Convert all remaining drivers that still use .adjfreq to the newer .adjfine implementation. These drivers are not straightforward, as they use non-standard methods of programming their hardware. They are all converted to use scaled_ppm_to_ppb to get the parts per billion value that their logic depends on. The prandom_u32() function has been a deprecated inline wrapper around get_random_u32() for several releases now, and compiles down to the exact same code. Replace the deprecated wrapper with a direct call to the real function. The same also applies to get_random_int(), which is just a wrapper around get_random_u32(). 2022-09-26cxgb4: fix missing unlock on ETHOFLD desc collect fail pathRafael Mendonca1-9/+19
The label passed to the QDESC_GET for the ETHOFLD TXQ, RXQ, and FLQ, is the 'out' one, which skips the 'out_unlock' label, and thus doesn't unlock the 'uld_mutex' before returning. Additionally, since commit 5148e5950c67 ("cxgb4: add EOTID tracking and software context dump"), the access to these ETHOFLD hardware queues should be protected by the 'mqprio_mutex' instead. We will soon introduce an optional per-netns ehash. This means we cannot use tcp_hashinfo directly in most places. Instead, access it via net->ipv4.tcp_death_row.hashinfo. The access will be valid only while initialising tcp_hashinfo itself and creating/destroying each netns. Commit 'c2ed5611afd7' has increased the cpl_t5_pass_accept_rpl{} structure size by 8B to avoid roundup. cpl_t5_pass_accept_rpl{} is a HW specific structure and increasing its size will lead to unwanted adapter errors. Current commit reverts the cpl_t5_pass_accept_rpl{} back to its original and allocates zeroed skb buffer there by avoiding the memset for iss field. Reorder code to minimize chip type checks. 2022-08-11net/tls: Use RCU API to access tls_ctx->netdevMaxim Mikityanskiy1-1/+7
Currently, tls_device_down synchronizes with tls_device_resync_rx using RCU, however, the pointer to netdev is stored using WRITE_ONCE and loaded using READ_ONCE. Although such approach is technically correct (rcu_dereference is essentially a READ_ONCE, and rcu_assign_pointer uses WRITE_ONCE to store NULL), using special RCU helpers for pointers is more valid, as it includes additional checks and might change the implementation transparently to the callers. Mark the netdev pointer as __rcu and use the correct RCU helpers to access it. For non-concurrent access pass the right conditions that guarantee safe access (locks taken, refcount value). Also use the correct helper in mlx5e, where even READ_ONCE was missing. The transition to RCU exposes existing issues, fixed by this commit: 1. bond_tls_device_xmit could read netdev twice, and it could become NULL the second time, after the NULL check passed. 2. Drivers shouldn't stop processing the last packet if tls_device_down just set netdev to NULL, before tls_dev_del was called. This prevents a possible packet drop when transitioning to the fallback software mode. The internal recvmsg() functions have two parameters 'flags' and 'noblock' that were merged inside skb_recv_datagram(). As a follow up patch to commit f4b41f062c42 ("net: remove noblock parameter from skb_recv_datagram()") this patch removes the separate 'noblock' parameter for recvmsg(). Analogue to the referenced patch for skb_recv_datagram() the 'flags' and 'noblock' parameters are unnecessarily split up with e.g. err = sk->sk_prot->recvmsg(sk, msg, size, flags & MSG_DONTWAIT, flags & ~MSG_DONTWAIT, &addr_len); or in err = INDIRECT_CALL_2(sk->sk_prot->recvmsg, tcp_recvmsg, udp_recvmsg, sk, msg, size, flags & MSG_DONTWAIT, flags & ~MSG_DONTWAIT, &addr_len); instead of simply using only flags all the time and check for MSG_DONTWAIT where needed (to preserve for the formerly separated no(n)block condition). During the process of driver probing, probe function should return < 0 for failure, otherwise kernel will treat value >= 0 as success. Therefore, the driver should set 'err' to -ENODEV when 'adapter->registered_device_map' is NULL. Otherwise kernel will assume that the driver has been successfully probed and will cause unexpected errors. 2022-02-28flow_offload: reject offload for all drivers with invalid police parametersJianbo Liu1-10/+49
As more police parameters are passed to flow_offload, driver can check them to make sure hardware handles packets in the way indicated by tc. The conform-exceed control should be drop/pipe or drop/ok. Besides, for drop/ok, the police should be the last action. As hardware can't configure peakrate/avrate/overhead, offload should not be supported if any of them is configured. Mask the ECN bits before calling ip_route_output_ports(). The tos variable might be passed directly from an IPv4 header, so it may have the last ECN bit set. This interferes with the route lookup process as ip_route_output_key_hash() interpretes this bit specially (to restrict the route scope). Found by code inspection, compile tested only. 2021-12-15iw_cxgb4: Use memset_startat() for cpl_t5_pass_accept_rplKees Cook1-1/+1
In preparation for FORTIFY_SOURCE performing compile-time and run-time field bounds checking for memset(), avoid intentionally writing across neighboring fields. Use memset_startat() so memset() doesn't get confused about writing beyond the destination member that is intended to be the starting point of zeroing through the end of the struct. Additionally, since everything appears to perform a roundup (including allocation), just change the size of the struct itself and add a build-time check to validate the expected size.
