2023-05-14media: mn88443x: fix !CONFIG_OF error by drop of_match_ptr from ID tableKrzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1
The driver will match mostly by DT table (even thought there is regular ID table) so there is little benefit in of_match_ptr (this also allows ACPI matching via PRP0001, even though it might not be relevant here). This also fixes !CONFIG_OF error: drivers/media/dvb-frontends/mn88443x.c:782:34: error: ‘mn88443x_of_match’ defined but not used [-Werror=unused-const-variable=] Link: https://lore.kernel.org/linux-media/20230312131318.351173-28-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@kernel.org>
2023-01-22media: dvb-frontends/mn88443x: Convert to i2c's .probe_new()Uwe Kleine-König1-3/+3
.probe_new() doesn't get the i2c_device_id * parameter, so determine that explicitly in the probe function. Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil-cisco@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@kernel.org>
2022-08-16i2c: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König1-3/+1
The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored. (Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the error is ignored.) So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to return 0 before. 2021-10-08media: dvb-frontends: mn88443x: Handle errors of clk_prepare_enable()Evgeny Novikov1-3/+15
mn88443x_cmn_power_on() did not handle possible errors of clk_prepare_enable() and always finished successfully so that its caller mn88443x_probe() did not care about failed preparing/enabling of clocks as well. Add missed error handling in both mn88443x_cmn_power_on() and mn88443x_probe(). This required to change the return value of the former from "void" to "int". 2018-08-03media: dvb-frontends: add Socionext MN88443x ISDB-S/T demodulator driverKatsuhiro Suzuki1-0/+802
This patch adds a frontend driver for the Socionext/Panasonic MN884434 and MN884433 ISDB-S/T demodulators. The maximum and minimum frequency of MN88443x comes from ISDB-S and ISDB-T so frequency range is the following: - ISDB-S (BS/CS110 IF frequency, Local freq 10.678GHz) - Min: BS-1: 1032MHz - Max: ND24: 2070MHz - ISDB-T - Min: ch13: 470MHz - Max: ch62: 770MHz Signed-off-by: Katsuhiro Suzuki <suzuki.katsuhiro@socionext.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+samsung@kernel.org>
