2018-07-25media: videobuf2-core: check for q->error in vb2_core_qbuf()Hans Verkuil1-0/+5
The vb2_core_qbuf() function didn't check if q->error was set. It is checked in __buf_prepare(), but that function isn't called if the buffer was already prepared before with VIDIOC_PREPARE_BUF. So check it at the start of vb2_core_qbuf() as well. 2018-05-28media: Remove depends on HAS_DMA in case of platform dependencyGeert Uytterhoeven1-2/+0
Remove dependencies on HAS_DMA where a Kconfig symbol depends on another symbol that implies HAS_DMA, and, optionally, on "|| COMPILE_TEST". In most cases this other symbol is an architecture or platform specific symbol, or PCI. Generic symbols and drivers without platform dependencies keep their dependencies on HAS_DMA, to prevent compiling subsystems or drivers that cannot work anyway. This simplifies the dependencies, and allows to improve compile-testing. Note: - The various VIDEOBUF*DMA* symbols had to loose their dependencies on HAS_DMA, as they are selected by several individual drivers. 2018-05-28media: videobuf2-core: don't call memop 'finish' when queueingHans Verkuil1-3/+6
When a buffer is queued or requeued in vb2_buffer_done, then don't call the finish memop. In this case the buffer is only returned to vb2, not to userspace. Calling 'finish' here will cause an unbalance when the queue is canceled, since the core will call the same memop again. 2018-02-26media: vb2: Makefile: place vb2-trace together with vb2-coreMauro Carvalho Chehab1-4/+7

2018-02-26media: vb2: Fix videobuf2 to map correct areaMasami Hiramatsu1-1/+1
Fixes vb2_vmalloc_get_userptr() to ioremap correct area. Since the current code does ioremap the page address, if the offset > 0, it does not do ioremap the last page and results in kernel panic. This fixes to pass the size + offset to ioremap so that ioremap can map correct area. Also, this uses __pfn_to_phys() to get the physical address of given PFN. 2018-02-26media: vb2: core: Finish buffers at the end of the streamSakari Ailus1-0/+9
If buffers were prepared or queued and the buffers were released without starting the queue, the finish mem op (corresponding to the prepare mem op) was never called to the buffers. Before commit a136f59c0a1f there was no need to do this as in such a case the prepare mem op had not been called yet. Address the problem by explicitly calling finish mem op when the queue is stopped if the buffer is in either prepared or queued state. 2018-02-23media: videobuf2: fix build issues with vb2-traceMauro Carvalho Chehab2-0/+13
There was a trouble with vb2-trace: instead of being part of VB2 core, it was stored at V4L2 videodev. That was wrong, as it doesn't actually belong to V4L2 core. Now that vb2 is not part of v4l2-core, its trace functions should be moved altogether. So, move it to its rightful place: at videobuf2-core. That fixes those errors: drivers/media/common/videobuf2/videobuf2-core.o: In function `__read_once_size': ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_buf_queue' ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_buf_queue' ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_buf_done' ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_buf_done' ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_qbuf' ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_qbuf' ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_dqbuf' ./include/linux/compiler.h:183: undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_dqbuf' drivers/media/common/videobuf2/videobuf2-core.o:(__jump_table+0x10): undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_buf_queue' drivers/media/common/videobuf2/videobuf2-core.o:(__jump_table+0x28): undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_buf_done' drivers/media/common/videobuf2/videobuf2-core.o:(__jump_table+0x40): undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_qbuf' drivers/media/common/videobuf2/videobuf2-core.o:(__jump_table+0x58): undefined reference to `__tracepoint_vb2_dqbuf' Reported-by: kbuild test robot <fengguang.wu@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
2018-02-23media: videobuf2: Add VIDEOBUF2_V4L2 Kconfig option for VB2 V4L2 partSakari Ailus2-1/+5
Videobuf2 is now separate from V4L2 and can be now built without it, at least in principle --- enabling videobuf2 in kernel configuration attempts to compile videobuf2-v4l2.c but that will fail if CONFIG_VIDEO_V4L2 isn't enabled. Solve this by adding a separate Kconfig option for videobuf2-v4l2 and make it a separate module as well. This means that drivers now need to choose both the appropriate videobuf2 memory type (VIDEOBUF2_{VMALLOC,DMA_CONTIG,DMA_SG}) and VIDEOBUF2_V4L2 if they need both. 2018-02-12vfs: do bulk POLL* -> EPOLL* replacementLinus Torvalds2-19/+19
This is the mindless scripted replacement of kernel use of POLL* variables as described by Al, done by this script: for V in IN OUT PRI ERR RDNORM RDBAND WRNORM WRBAND HUP RDHUP NVAL MSG; do L=`git grep -l -w POLL$V | grep -v '^t' | grep -v /um/ | grep -v '^sa' | grep -v '/poll.h$'|grep -v '^D'` for f in $L; do sed -i "-es/^\([^\"]*\)\(\<POLL$V\>\)/\\1E\\2/" $f; done done with de-mangling cleanups yet to come. NOTE! On almost all architectures, the EPOLL* constants have the same values as the POLL* constants do. But they keyword here is "almost". For various bad reasons they aren't the same, and epoll() doesn't actually work quite correctly in some cases due to this on Sparc et al. The next patch from Al will sort out the final differences, and we should be all done. Scripted-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
