2011-07-21drivers: fix up various ->llseek() implementationsJosef Bacik1-0/+4
Fix up a few ->llseek() implementations that won't deal with SEEK_HOLE/SEEK_DATA properly. Make them future proof so that if we ever add new options they will return -EINVAL. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik <josef@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
2010-05-17drivers: Push down BKL into various driversArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
These are the last remaining device drivers using the ->ioctl file operation in the drivers directory (except from v4l drivers). [fweisbec: drop i8k pushdown as it has been done from procfs pushdown branch already] Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Frederic Weisbecker <fweisbec@gmail.com>
2009-11-24macintosh: Remove BKL from nvram driverThomas Gleixner1-8/+3
Drop the bkl from nvram_llseek() as it obviously protects nothing. The file offset is safe in essence. The ioctl can be converted to unlocked_ioctl because it just calls pmac_get_partition() which reads a value from an array which was initialized at early boot time. No need for serialization. 2007-02-12[PATCH] mark struct file_operations const 4Arjan van de Ven1-1/+1
Many struct file_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential dirty data. In addition it'll catch accidental writes at compile time to these shared resources. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
