2008-01-31[ALSA] Remove sound/driver.hTakashi Iwai1-1/+0
This header file exists only for some hacks to adapt alsa-driver tree. It's useless for building in the kernel. Let's move a few lines in it to sound/core.h and remove it. With this patch, sound/driver.h isn't removed but has just a single compile warning to include it. This should be really killed in future. 2008-01-21Input: drop redundant includes of moduleparam.hJulia Lawall1-1/+0
Drop #include <linux/moduleparam.h> in files that also include linux/module.h, since module.h includes moduleparam.h already. Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dtor@mail.ru>
2007-10-19get rid of input BIT* duplicate definesJiri Slaby1-1/+1
get rid of input BIT* duplicate defines use newly global defined macros for input layer. Also remove includes of input.h from non-input sources only for BIT macro definiton. Define the macro temporarily in local manner, all those local definitons will be removed further in this patchset (to not break bisecting). BIT macro will be globally defined (1<<x) Signed-off-by: Jiri Slaby <jirislaby@gmail.com> Cc: <dtor@mail.ru> Acked-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz> Cc: <lenb@kernel.org> Acked-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org> Cc: <perex@suse.cz> Acked-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@infradead.org> Cc: <vernux@us.ibm.com> Cc: <malattia@linux.it> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-10-19freezer: introduce freezer-friendly waiting macrosRafael J. Wysocki1-2/+1
Introduce freezer-friendly wrappers around wait_event_interruptible() and wait_event_interruptible_timeout(), originally defined in <linux/wait.h>, to be used in freezable kernel threads. Make some of the freezable kernel threads use them. This is necessary for the freezer to stop sending signals to kernel threads, which is implemented in the next patch. Signed-off-by: Rafael J. Given that the code is not checking for signals it should use uninterruptible sleep. Signed-off-by: Rene Herman <rene.herman@gmail.com> Acked-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@cam.org> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dtor@mail.ru>
2007-07-17Freezer: make kernel threads nonfreezable by defaultRafael J. Wysocki1-0/+1
Currently, the freezer treats all tasks as freezable, except for the kernel threads that explicitly set the PF_NOFREEZE flag for themselves. This approach is problematic, since it requires every kernel thread to either set PF_NOFREEZE explicitly, or call try_to_freeze(), even if it doesn't care for the freezing of tasks at all. It seems better to only require the kernel threads that want to or need to be frozen to use some freezer-related code and to remove any freezer-related code from the other (nonfreezable) kernel threads, which is done in this patch. The patch causes all kernel threads to be nonfreezable by default (ie. to have PF_NOFREEZE set by default) and introduces the set_freezable() function that should be called by the freezable kernel threads in order to unset PF_NOFREEZE. It also makes all of the currently freezable kernel threads call set_freezable(), so it shouldn't cause any (intentional) change of behaviour to appear. Additionally, it updates documentation to describe the freezing of tasks more accurately. [akpm@linux-foundation.org: build fixes] Signed-off-by: Rafael J. 2007-04-12Input: ucb1400 - make delays configurableCliff Brake1-3/+14
This patch adds module parameters for several timing values used in the driver. These values can vary based on the hardware design and how much capacitive filtering there is on the touch panel inputs, and the resistance of the panel. 2007-04-11[PATCH] Input: ucb1400 - set up driver's name to show in sysfsCliff Brake1-0/+1
The UCB1400 is missing a name parameter in the device_driver struct. This causes missing information in the /sys tree and seems to cause other problems with the AC97 functionality. This was tested on a PXA270 system. Signed-off-by: Cliff Brake <cbrake@bec-systems.com> Signed-off-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dtor@mail.ru> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
