2022-09-15drm/radeon: add a force flush to delay work when radeonZhenneng Li1-0/+3
[ Upstream commit f461950fdc374a3ada5a63c669d997de4600dffe ] Although radeon card fence and wait for gpu to finish processing current batch rings, there is still a corner case that radeon lockup work queue may not be fully flushed, and meanwhile the radeon_suspend_kms() function has called pci_set_power_state() to put device in D3hot state. Per PCI spec rev 4.0 on 5.3.1.4.1 D3hot State. > Configuration and Message requests are the only TLPs accepted by a Function in > the D3hot state. All other received Requests must be handled as Unsupported Requests, > and all received Completions may optionally be handled as Unexpected Completions. 2022-08-17drm/radeon: avoid bogus "vram limit (0) must be a power of 2" warningMateusz Jończyk1-1/+1
[ Upstream commit 9da2902609f7519c48eda84f953f72fee53f2b71 ] I was getting the following message on boot on Linux 5.19-rc5: radeon 0000:01:05.0: vram limit (0) must be a power of 2 (I didn't use any radeon.vramlimit commandline parameter). This is caused by commit 8c2d34eb53b9 ("drm/radeon: use kernel is_power_of_2 rather than local version") which removed radeon_check_pot_argument() and converted its users to is_power_of_2(). The two functions differ in its handling of 0, which is the default value of radeon_vram_limit: radeon_check_pot_argument() "incorrectly" considered it a power of 2, while is_power_of_2() does not. An appropriate conditional silences the warning message. It is not necessary to add a similar test to other callers of is_power_of_2() in radeon_device.c. The matching commit in amdgpu: commit 761175078466 ("drm/amdgpu: use kernel is_power_of_2 rather than local version") is unaffected by this bug. Tested on Radeon HD 3200. Not ccing stable, this is not serious enough. 2022-08-17drm/radeon: fix potential buffer overflow in ni_set_mc_special_registers()Alexey Kodanev1-4/+2
[ Upstream commit 136f614931a2bb73616b292cf542da3a18daefd5 ] The last case label can write two buffers 'mc_reg_address[j]' and 'mc_data[j]' with 'j' offset equal to SMC_NISLANDS_MC_REGISTER_ARRAY_SIZE since there are no checks for this value in both case labels after the last 'j++'. Instead of changing '>' to '>=' there, add the bounds check at the start of the second 'case' (the first one already has it). Also, remove redundant last checks for 'j' index bigger than array size. The expression is always false. Moreover, before or after the patch 'table->last' can be equal to SMC_NISLANDS_MC_REGISTER_ARRAY_SIZE and it seems it can be a valid value. In radeon_fp_native_mode(), the return value of drm_mode_duplicate() is assigned to mode, which will lead to a NULL pointer dereference on failure of drm_mode_duplicate(). Add a check to avoid npd. 2022-04-25drm: Rename dp/ to display/Thomas Zimmermann4-5/+5
Rename dp/ to display/ to account for additional display-related helpers, such as HDMI. Update all related include statements. No functional changes. Various drivers, such as i915 and amdgpu, use similar naming scheme by putting code for video-output standards into a local display/ directory. 2022-04-07dma-buf: add enum dma_resv_usage v4Christian König5-9/+13
This change adds the dma_resv_usage enum and allows us to specify why a dma_resv object is queried for its containing fences. Additional to that a dma_resv_usage_rw() helper function is added to aid retrieving the fences for a read or write userspace submission. This is then deployed to the different query functions of the dma_resv object and all of their users. 2022-03-15drm/radeon: Use drm_mode_copy()Ville Syrjälä1-2/+2
struct drm_display_mode embeds a list head, so overwriting the full struct with another one will corrupt the list (if the destination mode is on a list). Use drm_mode_copy() instead which explicitly preserves the list head of the destination mode. Even if we know the destination mode is not on any list using drm_mode_copy() seems decent as it sets a good example. 2022-02-08dma-buf-map: Rename to iosys-mapLucas De Marchi1-0/+1
Rename struct dma_buf_map to struct iosys_map and corresponding APIs. Over time dma-buf-map grew up to more functionality than the one used by dma-buf: in fact it's just a shim layer to abstract system memory, that can be accessed via regular load and store, from IO memory that needs to be acessed via arch helpers. The idea is to extend this API so it can fulfill other needs, internal to a single driver. Example: in the i915 driver it's desired to share the implementation for integrated graphics, which uses mostly system memory, with discrete graphics, which may need to access IO memory. If only linear modifier is advertised, since there are many drivers that only linear supported, the DRM core should handle this rather than open-coding in every driver. However, there are legacy drivers such as radeon that do not support modifiers but infer the actual layout of the underlying buffer. 2022-01-25drm/edid: Split deep color modes between RGB and YUV444Maxime Ripard1-1/+1
The current code assumes that the RGB444 and YUV444 formats are the same, but the HDMI 2.0 specification states that: The three DC_XXbit bits above only indicate support for RGB 4:4:4 at that pixel size. Support for YCBCR 4:4:4 in Deep Color modes is indicated with the DC_Y444 bit. If DC_Y444 is set, then YCBCR 4:4:4 is supported for all modes indicated by the DC_XXbit flags. So if we have YUV444 support and any DC_XXbit flag set but the DC_Y444 flag isn't, we'll assume that we support that deep colour mode for YUV444 which breaks the specification. In order to fix this, let's split the edid_hdmi_dc_modes field in struct drm_display_info into two fields, one for RGB444 and one for YUV444.
