The code is applying the same scaling for the X and Y components, thus making the scaling feature only functional when both components have the same scaling factor. Do the s/_w/_h/ replacement where appropriate to fix vertical scaling. 2016-08-29drm/atomic-helper: Add NO_DISABLE_AFTER_MODESET flag support for plane commitLiu Ying1-1/+1
Drivers may set the NO_DISABLE_AFTER_MODESET flag in the 'flags' parameter of the helper drm_atomic_helper_commit_planes() if the relevant display controllers(e.g., IPUv3 for imx-drm) require to disable a CRTC's planes when the CRTC is disabled. The helper would skip the ->atomic_disable call for a plane if the CRTC of the old plane state needs a modesetting operation. Of course, the drivers need to disable the planes in their CRTC disable callbacks since no one else would do that. 2016-08-19drm: Allow drivers to modify plane_state in prepare_fb/cleanup_fbChris Wilson1-2/+2
The drivers have to modify the atomic plane state during the prepare_fb callback so they track allocations, reservations and dependencies for this atomic operation involving this fb. In particular, how else do we set the plane->fence from the framebuffer! 2016-06-21drm/atmel-hlcdc: Remove redundant calls to drm_connector_register_all()Chris Wilson1-7/+0
Up to now, the recommendation was for drivers to call drm_dev_register() followed by drm_connector_register_all(). Now that drm_connector_register() is safe against multiple invocations, we can move drm_connector_register_all() to drm_dev_register() and not suffer from any backwards compatibility issues with drivers not following the more rigorous init ordering. In order to support multiple outputs we need to move the output mode selection to the CRTC object, so that the output validity check can be done against the drm_atomic_state. If the connectors selected by a specific mode setting are requiring incompatible bus format the atomic operation is aborted (->atomic_check() returns -EINVAL). In order to implement that, we need to define our own CRTC state and overload default ->reset(), ->atomic_duplicate_state() and ->atomic_destroy_state() functions. 2015-12-15drm: atmel-hlcdc: add support for sama5d2 SoCsNicolas Ferre1-0/+4

2015-10-07drm: Stop using drm_vblank_count() as the hw frame counterVille Syrjälä1-1/+1
drm_vblank_count() returns the software counter. We should not pretend it's the hw counter since we use the hw counter to figuere out what the software counter value should be. So instead provide a new function drm_vblank_no_hw_counter() for drivers that don't have a real hw counter. The new function simply returns 0, which is about the only thing it can do.
