2023-12-21fpga: altera-freeze-bridge: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König1-4/+2
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove(). Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2023-07-17fpga: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring1-4/+3
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2021-11-29fpga: bridge: Use standard dev_release for class driverRuss Weight1-5/+5
The FPGA bridge class driver data structure is being treated as a managed resource instead of using the standard dev_release call-back function to release the class data structure. This change removes the managed resource code and combines the create() and register() functions into a single register() function. 2018-05-25fpga: bridge: change api, don't use drvdataAlan Tull1-3/+19
Change fpga_bridge_register to not set drvdata. This is to support the case where a PCIe device can have more than one bridge. Add API functions to create/free the fpga bridge struct. Change fpga_bridge_register/unregister to take FPGA bridge struct as the only parameter. struct fpga_bridge *fpga_bridge_create(struct device *dev, const char *name, const struct fpga_bridge_ops *br_ops, void *priv); void fpga_bridge_free(struct fpga_bridge *br); int fpga_bridge_register(struct fpga_bridge *br); void fpga_bridge_unregister(struct fpga_bridge *br); Update the drivers that call fpga_bridge_register with the new API. 2017-04-26fpga fr br: update supported version numbersMatthew Gerlach1-11/+19
The value in the version register of the altera freeze bridge controller changed from the beta value of 2 to the value of 0xad000003 in the official release of the IP. This patch supports the old and new version numbers, and the driver's probe function will fail if neither of the supported versions is found. 2016-11-10fpga: add altera freeze bridge supportAlan Tull1-0/+273
Add a low level driver for Altera Freeze Bridges to the FPGA Bridge framework. A freeze bridge is a bridge that exists in the FPGA fabric to isolate one region of the FPGA from the busses while that one region is being reprogrammed.
