2024-09-22clk: Switch back to struct platform_driver::remove()Uwe Kleine-König1-1/+1
After commit 0edb555a65d1 ("platform: Make platform_driver::remove() return void") .remove() is (again) the right callback to implement for platform drivers. Convert all clk drivers to use .remove(), with the eventual goal to drop struct platform_driver::remove_new(). As .remove() and .remove_new() have the same prototypes, conversion is done by just changing the structure member name in the driver initializer. 2023-07-19clk: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring1-1/+0
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-03-29clk: palmas: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König1-3/+2
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2018-11-06clk: palmas: constify clk_ops structureJulia Lawall1-1/+1
The clk_ops structure is only stored in the ops field of clk_init_data structures. This field is const, so the clk_ops structure can be const as well. Identified and transformed using Coccinelle. Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@kernel.org>

Now that we have clk_hw based provider APIs to register clks, we can get rid of struct clk pointers while registering clks in these drivers, allowing us to move closer to a clear split of consumer and provider clk APIs. 2016-01-30clk: palmas: fix a possible NULL dereferenceLABBE Corentin1-3/+3
of_match_device could return NULL, and so cause a NULL pointer dereference later. Even if the probability of this case is very low, fixing it made static analyzers happy. Solving this with of_device_get_match_data made also code simplier. 2014-07-02clk: Add driver for Palmas clk32kg and clk32kgaudio clocksPeter Ujfalusi1-0/+307
Palmas class of devices can provide 32K clock(s) to be used by other devices on the board. Depending on the actual device the provided clocks can be: CLK32K_KG and CLK32K_KGAUDIO or only one: CLK32K_KG (TPS659039 for example) Use separate compatible flags for the two 32K clock. A system which needs or have only one of the 32k clock from Palmas will need to add node(s) for each clock as separate section in the dts file. The two compatible property is: "ti,palmas-clk32kg" for clk32kg clock "ti,palmas-clk32kgaudio" for clk32kgaudio clock Apart from the register control of the clocks - which is done via the clock API there is a posibility to enable the external sleep control. In this way the clock can be enabled/disabled on demand by the user of the clock. See the documentation for more details.
