2016-05-05ACPICA: Divergence: remove unwanted spaces for typedefLv Zheng1-1/+1
ACPICA commit b2294cae776f5a66a7697414b21949d307e6856f This patch removes unwanted spaces for typedef. This solution doesn't cover function types. Note that the linuxize result of this commit is very giant and should have many conflicts against the current Linux upstream. Thus it is required to modify the linuxize result of this commit and the commits around it manually in order to have them merged to the Linux upstream. Since this is very costy, we should do this only once, and if we can't ensure to do this only once, we need to revert the Linux code to the wrong indentation result before merging the linuxize result of this commit. ACPICA commit 7f06739db43a85083a70371c14141008f20b2198 For physical addresses, since the address may exceed 32-bit address range after calculation, we should use %8.8X%8.8X (see ACPI_FORMAT_UINT64()) to convert the %p formats. This is a preparation to switch acpi_physical_address to 64-bit on 32-bit kernel builds. 2013-10-31ACPICA: Remove dead AOPOBJ_INVALID check.Lv Zheng1-6/+0
Reversion commit 7cb7f45c7fee (Revert "ACPICA: Remove obsolete acpi_os_validate_address interface") restored a piece of dead code related to an obselete AOPOBJ_INVALID flag. Remove that code again. 2013-10-31ACPICA: Linuxize: Change indentation of C labels.Lv Zheng1-1/+1

Can only happen under these conditions: 1) The DSDT version is 1, meaning integers are 32-bits. 2) The field is between 33 and 64 bits long. 2013-01-10ACPICA: Fix broken call depth tracing logic.Lv Zheng1-1/+0
This patch does not affect the generation of the Linux binary. This patch decreases 26 lines of 20121018 divergence.diff. The ACPICA uses a call depth tracing mechanism by wrapping the return statements with return macros and marking the entrance with ACPI_FUNCTION_TRACE_ macros. There are other ACPI_FUNCTION_ macros used to mark the functions not using this tracing mechanism. This patch fixes broken call depth tracing logic. 2012-11-15ACPICA: Fix indent caused divergences.Lv Zheng1-2/+1
New version of "indent" program will generate different outputs that will lead to the divergences between the Linux and the ACPICA. This patch fixes such divergences caused by the "indent" program. The version of the "indent" used for this patch is "GNU indent 2.2.11". This patch will not affect the generated vmlinux binary. This will decrease 581 lines of 20120913 divergence.diff. 2010-01-22ACPICA: Remove obsolete ACPI_INTEGER (acpi_integer) typeBob Moore1-31/+26
This type was introduced as the code was migrated from ACPI 1.0 (with 32-bit AML integers) to ACPI 2.0 (with 64-bit integers). It is now obsolete and this change removes it from the ACPICA code base, replaced by u64. The original typedef has been retained for now for compatibility with existing device driver code.
