2021-02-23RISC-V: Add a non-void return for sbi v02 functionsAtish Patra1-5/+5
SBI v0.2 functions can return an error code from SBI implementation. We are already processing the SBI error code and coverts it to the Linux error code. Propagate to the error code to the caller as well. As of now, kvm is the only user of these error codes. 2020-03-31RISC-V: Export SBI error to linux error mapping functionAtish Patra1-0/+2
All SBI related extensions will not be implemented in sbi.c to avoid bloating. Thus, sbi_err_map_linux_errno() will be used in other files implementing that specific extension. 2020-03-31RISC-V: Introduce a new config for SBI v0.1Atish Patra1-0/+2
We now have SBI v0.2 which is more scalable and extendable to handle future needs for RISC-V supervisor interfaces. Introduce a new config and move all SBI v0.1 code under that config. This allows to implement the new replacement SBI extensions cleanly and remove v0.1 extensions easily in future. Currently, the config is enabled by default. Once all M-mode software, with v0.1, is no longer in use, this config option and all relevant code can be easily removed. 2020-03-31RISC-V: Add basic support for SBI v0.2Atish Patra1-71/+68
The SBI v0.2 introduces a base extension which is backward compatible with v0.1. Implement all helper functions and minimum required SBI calls from v0.2 for now. All other base extension function will be added later as per need. As v0.2 calling convention is backward compatible with v0.1, remove the v0.1 helper functions and just use v0.2 calling convention. 2020-03-31RISC-V: Mark existing SBI as 0.1 SBI.Atish Patra1-19/+22
As per the new SBI specification, current SBI implementation version is defined as 0.1 and will be removed/replaced in future. Each of the function call in 0.1 is defined as a separate extension which makes easier to replace them one at a time. Rename existing implementation to reflect that. This patch is just a preparatory patch for SBI v0.2 and doesn't introduce any functional changes. 2019-11-18riscv: provide native clint access for M-modeChristoph Hellwig1-0/+2
RISC-V has the concept of a cpu level interrupt controller. The interface for it is split between a standardized part that is exposed as bits in the mstatus/sstatus register and the mie/mip/sie/sip CRS. But the bit to actually trigger IPIs is not standardized and just mentioned as implementable using MMIO. Add support for IPIs using MMIO using the SiFive clint layout (which is also shared by Ariane, Kendryte and the Qemu virt platform). Additionally the MMIO block also supports the time value and timer compare registers, so they are also set up using the same OF node. Support for other layouts should also be relatively easy to add in the future. 2019-11-14riscv: add support for MMIO access to the timer registersChristoph Hellwig1-1/+2
When running in M-mode we can't use the SBI to set the timer, and don't have access to the time CSR as that usually is emulated by M-mode. Instead provide code that directly accesses the MMIO for the timer. 2019-11-14riscv: implement remote sfence.i using IPIsChristoph Hellwig1-0/+3
The RISC-V ISA only supports flushing the instruction cache for the local CPU core. Currently we always offload the remote TLB flushing to the SBI, which then issues an IPI under the hoods. But with M-mode we do not have an SBI so we have to do it ourselves. IPI to the other nodes using the existing kernel helpers instead if we have native clint support and thus can IPI directly from the kernel. Currently sbi_remote_sfence_vma{,_asid} does not pass their arguments to SBI at all, which is semantically incorrect. Neither BBL nor OpenSBI is using these arguments at the moment, and they just do a global flush instead. However we still need to provide correct arguments. This patch contains code that interfaces with devices that are mandated by the RISC-V supervisor specification and that don't have explicit drivers anywhere else in the tree.
