2017-08-23powerpc: Convert to using %pOF instead of full_nameRob Herring1-2/+2
Now that we have a custom printf format specifier, convert users of full_name to use %pOF instead. This is preparation to remove storing of the full path string for each node. 2014-09-25powerpc: Export dcr_ind_lock to fix build errorPranith Kumar1-0/+1
Fix build error caused by missing export: ERROR: "dcr_ind_lock" [drivers/net/ethernet/ibm/emac/ibm_emac.ko] undefined! Signed-off-by: Pranith Kumar <bobby.prani@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <mpe@ellerman.id.au>
2014-05-23of: Stop naming platform_device using dcr addressGrant Likely1-3/+3
There is now a way to ensure all platform devices get a unique name when populated from the device tree, and the DCR_NATIVE code path is broken anyway. PowerPC Cell (PS3) is the only platform that actually uses this path. Most likely nobody will notice if it is killed. Remove the code and associated ugly #ifdef. The user-visible impact of this patch is that any DCR device on Cell will get a new name in the /sys/devices hierarchy. 2011-11-01powerpc: add export.h to files making use of EXPORT_SYMBOLPaul Gortmaker1-0/+1
With module.h being implicitly everywhere via device.h, the absence of explicitly including something for EXPORT_SYMBOL went unnoticed. Since we are heading to fix things up and clean module.h from the device.h file, we need to explicitly include these files now. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2008-12-21powerpc: Const-qualify Device Node Argument to DCR Resource Extent APIGrant Erickson1-2/+3
Add const qualifier to device_node argument for dcr_resource_{start,len} as of_get_property also const-qualifies this argument. Signed-off-by: Grant Erickson <gerickson@nuovations.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
2008-05-29[POWERPC] 4xx: Fix compiler warning on DCR_NATIVE only buildsJosh Boyer1-0/+2
With the recent DCR code rework, we get a compiler warning about find_dcr_parent being defined but not used. This fixes it by only defining the function if CONFIG_PPC_DCR_MMIO is set. Signed-off-by: Josh Boyer <jwboyer@linux.vnet.ibm.com>
2008-05-29[POWERPC] Refactor DCR codeStephen Neuendorffer1-33/+121
Previously, DCR support was configured at compile time to either use MMIO or native dcr instructions. Although this works for most platforms, it fails on FPGA platforms: 1) Systems may include more than one DCR bus. 2) Systems may be native DCR capable and still use memory mapped DCR interface. This patch provides runtime support based on the device trees for the case where CONFIG_PPC_DCR_MMIO and CONFIG_PPC_DCR_NATIVE are both selected. Previously, this was a poorly defined configuration, which happened to provide NATIVE support. The runtime selection is made based on the dcr-controller having a 'dcr-access-method' attribute in the device tree. If only one of the above options is selected, then the code uses #defines to select only the used code in order to avoid introducing overhead in existing usage. 2008-02-07[POWERPC] Add missing native dcr dcr_ind_lock spinlockValentine Barshak1-2/+3
The include/asm-powerpc/dcr-native.h declares extern spinlock_t dcr_ind_lock; but it's actually isn't defined. This patch adds a missing dcr_ind_lock. Signed-off-by: Valentine Barshak <vbarshak@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Josh Boyer <jwboyer@linux.vnet.ibm.com>
2007-10-15Use dcr_host_t.base in dcr_unmap()Michael Ellerman1-2/+2
With the base stored in dcr_host_t, there's no need for callers to pass the dcr_n into dcr_unmap(). In fact this removes the possibility of them passing the incorrect value, which would then be iounmap()'ed. 2007-10-03[POWERPC] Store the base address in dcr_host_tMichael Ellerman1-1/+1
In its current form, dcr_map() doesn't remember the base address you passed it, which means you need to store it somewhere else. Rather than adding the base to another struct it seems simpler to store it in the dcr_host_t. 2006-12-04[POWERPC] Generic DCR infrastructureBenjamin Herrenschmidt1-0/+137
This patch adds new dcr_map/dcr_read/dcr_write accessors for DCRs that can be used by drivers to transparently address either native DCRs or memory mapped DCRs. The implementation for memory mapped DCRs is done after the binding being currently worked on for SLOF and the Axon chipset. This patch enables it for the cell native platform Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
