2017-12-21ARM: dts: aspeed: Add proper clock referencesJoel Stanley2-124/+84
This device tree will break existing kernels that do not have the clk patches applied (no clocksource, as we don't know the speed of the APB clock. You can boot if you pass a lpj value on the command line, but won't have a uart). Older device trees running with the newer kernel will function as well as pre-4.16 kernels. That is, that some IP blocks (i2c, pwm/tach, adc) will not work as the kernel lacks reset controller and clock enabling. This is being changed as existing device trees use fixed-clocks in order to boot without a clk driver. The newly added clk driver provides proper clock support, including gating, so we move the device trees over to properly request clocks. The SCU compatible string is updated as the g4-scu string made it into the tree before we decided on aspeed,astX000-<ip> as the format for the strings. The old string will be removed from the bindings in a future patch. Signed-off-by: Joel Stanley <joel@jms.id.au>

Being called during early_initcall() is early enough that it occurs before SMP initialization, which is all we care about for the Bus Interface Unit configuration. This solves lack of BIU initialization on ARM64 platforms where we do not have an anchor where to put the BIU initialization (since there are no machine descriptors). 2017-12-19PCI: Remove PCI_REASSIGN_ALL_RSRC use on arm and arm64Bjorn Helgaas2-5/+2
On arm, PCI_REASSIGN_ALL_RSRC is used only in pcibios_assign_all_busses(), which helps decide whether to reconfigure bridge bus numbers. It has nothing to do with BAR assignments. On arm64 and powerpc, pcibios_assign_all_busses() tests PCI_REASSIGN_ALL_BUS, which makes more sense. Align arm with arm64 and powerpc, so they all use PCI_REASSIGN_ALL_BUS for pcibios_assign_all_busses(). Remove PCI_REASSIGN_ALL_RSRC from the generic, Tegra, Versatile, and R-Car drivers. These drivers are used only on arm or arm64, where PCI_REASSIGN_ALL_RSRC is not used after this change, so removing it should have no effect. No functional change intended. 2017-12-18Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/bpf/bpf-nextDavid S. Miller1-1/+1
Daniel Borkmann says: ==================== pull-request: bpf-next 2017-12-18 The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree. The main changes are: 1) Allow arbitrary function calls from one BPF function to another BPF function. As of today when writing BPF programs, __always_inline had to be used in the BPF C programs for all functions, unnecessarily causing LLVM to inflate code size. Handle this more naturally with support for BPF to BPF calls such that this __always_inline restriction can be overcome. As a result, it allows for better optimized code and finally enables to introduce core BPF libraries in the future that can be reused out of different projects. x86 and arm64 JIT support was added as well, from Alexei. 2) Add infrastructure for tagging functions as error injectable and allow for BPF to return arbitrary error values when BPF is attached via kprobes on those. This way of injecting errors generically eases testing and debugging without having to recompile or restart the kernel. Tags for opting-in for this facility are added with BPF_ALLOW_ERROR_INJECTION(), from Josef. 3) For BPF offload via nfp JIT, add support for bpf_xdp_adjust_head() helper call for XDP programs. First part of this work adds handling of BPF capabilities included in the firmware, and the later patches add support to the nfp verifier part and JIT as well as some small optimizations, from Jakub. 4) The bpftool now also gets support for basic cgroup BPF operations such as attaching, detaching and listing current BPF programs. As a requirement for the attach part, bpftool can now also load object files through 'bpftool prog load'. This reuses libbpf which we have in the kernel tree as well. bpftool-cgroup man page is added along with it, from Roman. 5) Back then commit e87c6bc3852b ("bpf: permit multiple bpf attachments for a single perf event") added support for attaching multiple BPF programs to a single perf event. Given they are configured through perf's ioctl() interface, the interface has been extended with a PERF_EVENT_IOC_QUERY_BPF command in this work in order to return an array of one or multiple BPF prog ids that are currently attached, from Yonghong. 6) Various minor fixes and cleanups to the bpftool's Makefile as well as a new 'uninstall' and 'doc-uninstall' target for removing bpftool itself or prior installed documentation related to it, from Quentin. 7) Add CONFIG_CGROUP_BPF=y to the BPF kernel selftest config file which is required for the test_dev_cgroup test case to run, from Naresh. 8) Fix reporting of XDP prog_flags for nfp driver, from Jakub. 9) Fix libbpf's exit code from the Makefile when libelf was not found in the system, also from Jakub. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. 2017-12-18ARM: shmobile: defconfig: Enable SGTL5000 audio codecBiju Das1-0/+1
The iWave RZ/G1M Q7 carrier board supports I2S audio codec "SGTL5000". To increase hardware support enable the driver in the shmobile_defconfig multiplatform configuration. 2017-12-18ARM: 8731/1: Fix csum_partial_copy_from_user() stack mismatchChunyan Zhang1-0/+4
An additional 'ip' will be pushed to the stack, for restoring the DACR later, if CONFIG_CPU_SW_DOMAIN_PAN defined. However, the fixup still get the err_ptr by add #8*4 to sp, which results in the fact that the code area pointed by the LR will be overwritten, or the kernel will crash if CONFIG_DEBUG_RODATA is enabled. This patch fixes the stack mismatch.
