2016-11-10ARM: AMx3xx: hwmod: Add data for RNGLokesh Vutla1-35/+0
Hardware random number generator is present in both AM33xx and AM43xx SoC's. So moving the hwmod data to common data. Signed-off-by: Lokesh Vutla <lokeshvutla@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Tero Kristo <t-kristo@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>
2016-06-10ARM: AM335x/AM437x: hwmod: Remove eQEP, ePWM and eCAP hwmod entriesFranklin S Cooper Jr1-9/+0
Devices that utilize the OCP registers and/or PRCM registers and register bit fields should be modeled using hwmod. Since eQEP, ePWM and eCAP don't fall under this category, remove their hwmod entries. Instead these clocks simply use the clock that is passed through by its parent PWMSS. Therefore, PWMSS handles the clock for itself and its subdevices. 2014-11-26ARM: OMAP2: MMC: include mmc-omap platform header directlyAndreas Fenkart1-1/+0
Only a few files really need that platform header. When later splitting omap_mmc_platform_data into omap_mmc and omap_mmc_hs, those files declaring an hs mmc platform data will have to change the platform include, which is a good sanity check. Also removing omap242x_init_mmc, which is not used anywhere, checked with grep. Signed-off-by: Andreas Fenkart <afenkart@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ulf Hansson <ulf.hansson@linaro.org>
2013-10-14ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: AM335x: runtime register updateAfzal Mohammed1-0/+1
Most of IP's in AM335x is present on AM43x and so in those cases both will use same hwmod database (except for a few cases where clock related details differ), but there is difference w.r.t register offset between these. Update register offsets at runtime based on the SoC detected to help in sharing otherwise same hwmod. 2013-10-14ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: AM335x/AM43x: move common dataAfzal Mohammed1-1977/+1
AM335x and AM43x have most of the IP's and interconnect's similar. Instead of adding redundant hwmod data, move interconnects and hwmod similar between AM335x and AM43x to a common location. This helps in reuse on AM43x. AM335x interconnects that has difference and not present in AM43x are not moved. ocp clock of those in l4_wkup is fed from a different source for AM43x. Also pruss interconnect is different. AM335x hwmod's that has difference other than prcm register offsets (difference is in clocks of wkup_m3, control, gpio0, debugss and clock domain of l4_hs, adc_tsc as compared to AM43x) and those that are not present in AM43x are not moved. 2013-10-09ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: cleanup HWMOD_INIT_NO_RESET usageRajendra Nayak1-9/+9
For modules/IPs/hwmods which do not have -1- sys->class->reset() and -2- hardreset lines and -3- No way to do an ocp reset (no sysc control) the flag 'HWMOD_INIT_NO_RESET' is not much useful. 2013-08-23ARM: OMAP: AM33XX: hwmod: Add hwmod data for debugSSVaibhav Hiremath1-22/+47
In the original hwmod data file, DebugSS entry was disabled, since we didn't (and do not) have SW to control it. This patch enables it back with right data, so that it can be controlled by different ways; and the suggested method it to have modular driver for debugSS as well. 2013-07-30ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: AM335x: fix cpgmac address spaceAfzal Mohammed1-0/+1
Register target address to be used for cpgmac is the second device address space. By default, hwmod picks first address space (0th index) for register target. With removal of address space from hwmod and using DT instead, cpgmac is getting wrong address space for register target. Fix it by indicating the address space to be used for register target. 2013-07-30ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod: Fix a crash in _setup_reset() with DEBUG_LLRajendra Nayak1-1/+1
With commit '82702ea11ddfe0e43382e1fa5b66d807d8114916' "ARM: OMAP2+: Fix serial init for device tree based booting" stubbing out omap_serial_early_init() for Device tree based booting, there was a crash observed on AM335x based devices when hwmod does a _setup_reset() early at boot. This was rootcaused to hwmod trying to reset console uart while earlycon was using it. The way to tell hwmod not to do this is to specify the HWMOD_INIT_NO_RESET flag, which were infact set by the omap_serial_early_init() function by parsing the cmdline to identify the console device. Parsing the cmdline to identify the uart used by earlycon itself seems broken as there is nothing preventing earlycon to use a different one. This patch, instead, attempts to populate the requiste flags for hwmod based on the CONFIG_DEBUG_OMAPxUARTy FLAGS. This gets rid of the need for cmdline parsing in the DT as well as non-DT cases to identify the uart used by earlycon. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC specific changes from Arnd Bergmann: "These changes are all to SoC-specific code, a total of 33 branches on 17 platforms were pulled into this. Like last time, Renesas sh-mobile is now the platform with the most changes, followed by OMAP and EXYNOS. Two new platforms, TI Keystone and Rockchips RK3xxx are added in this branch, both containing almost no platform specific code at all, since they are using generic subsystem interfaces for clocks, pinctrl, interrupts etc. The device drivers are getting merged through the respective subsystem maintainer trees. One more SoC (u300) is now multiplatform capable and several others (shmobile, exynos, msm, integrator, kirkwood, clps711x) are moving towards that goal with this series but need more work. Also noteworthy is the work on PCI here, which is traditionally part of the SoC specific code. With the changes done by Thomas Petazzoni, we can now more easily have PCI host controller drivers as loadable modules and keep them separate from the platform code in drivers/pci/host. This has already led to the discovery that three platforms (exynos, spear and imx) are actually using an identical PCIe host controller and will be able to share a driver once support for spear and imx is added." * tag 'soc-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (480 commits) ARM: integrator: let pciv3 use mem/premem from device tree ARM: integrator: set local side PCI addresses right ARM: dts: Add pcie controller node for exynos5440-ssdk5440 ARM: dts: Add pcie controller node for Samsung EXYNOS5440 SoC ARM: EXYNOS: Enable PCIe support for Exynos5440 pci: Add PCIe driver for Samsung Exynos ARM: OMAP5: voltagedomain data: remove temporary OMAP4 voltage data ARM: keystone: Move CPU bringup code to dedicated asm file ARM: multiplatform: always pick one CPU type ARM: imx: select syscon for IMX6SL ARM: keystone: select ARM_ERRATA_798181 only for SMP ARM: imx: Synertronixx scb9328 needs to select SOC_IMX1 ARM: OMAP2+: AM43x: resolve SMP related build error dmaengine: edma: enable build for AM33XX ARM: edma: Add EDMA crossbar event mux support ARM: edma: Add DT and runtime PM support to the private EDMA API dmaengine: edma: Add TI EDMA device tree binding arm: add basic support for Rockchip RK3066a boards arm: add debug uarts for rockchip rk29xx and rk3xxx series arm: Add basic clocks for Rockchip rk3066a SoCs ...

2013-06-07ARM: AM33XX: hwmod data: irq, dma and addr info clean upVaibhav Hiremath1-1067/+0
AM33XX only supports DT boot mode and with addition of extracting module resources like, irq, dma and address space from DT block, so now we can remove duplicate information from hwmod data file. This patch cleanups-up/deletes, - All references to "omap_hwmod_irq_info" data. - All references to "omap_hwmod_dma_info" data. - References to "omap_hwmod_addr_space" of the modules for which DT node is available with required address space information. - For the modules where "sysc" field is not applicable, we don't need module address space, so remove them as well. - The hwmod like firewall etc which are not useful are also deleted. This cleanup gets us around ~1100 LOC of negative diff. Patch is boot tested on AM335x-EVM along with below modules - - Matrix-keypad - Volume up/down keys - Ethernet - RTC - WDT Signed-off-by: Vaibhav Hiremath <hvaibhav@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Sricharan R <r.sricharan@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Santosh Shilimkar <santosh.shilimkar@ti.com> Acked-by: Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

2013-05-20ARM: OMAP2+: hwmod-data: UART IP needs software control to manage sidle modesSantosh Shilimkar1-0/+6
OMAP UART IP needs software control for slave idle modes based on functional state of the IP. i.e The IP slave idle settings should be set to 'noidle' when being used and then put back to 'smart_idle' when unused. Currently this is handled by the driver with function pointers implemented in platform code. This however breaks in case of device tree because of missing idle handling APIs. Previous patches in this series added a flag HWMOD_SWSUP_SIDLE_ACTIVE which takes care of the mentioned requirement. Hence add the flag for all UART IPs to take advantage of feature supported by framework. Subsequent patches removes the slave idle handling from driver code. 2012-11-15ARM: OMAP3+: hwmod: Add AM33XX HWMOD data for davinci_mdio moduleMugunthan V N1-0/+31
This patch adds hwmod entry for davinci MDIO module, creating parent<->child relationship between CPSW and MDIO module. This Parent-child relation is required in order to use common resources like, clock, but still maintaining the logical separation between them. CPGMAC SubSystem consist of various sub-modules, like, mdio, cpdma, cpsw, etc... These sub-modules are also used in some of Davinci family of devices, so separate and independent platform devices & drivers for CPSW and MDIO is implemented. In case of AM33XX, the resources are shared and common register bit-field is provided to control module/clock enable/disable, makes it difficult to handle common resources from both drivers. So the solution is, create parent<->child relationship between CPGMAC & MDIO modules. 2012-10-19ARM: OMAP: Split plat/cpu.h into local soc.h for mach-omap1 and mach-omap2Tony Lindgren1-1/+0
We want to remove plat/cpu.h. To do this, let's first split it to private soc.h to mach-omap1 and mach-omap2. We have to keep plat/cpu.h around until the remaining drivers are fixed, so let's include the local soc.h in plat/cpu.h and for drivers still including plat/cpu.h. Once the drivers are fixed not to include plat/cpu.h, we can remove the file. This is needed for the ARM common zImage support. 2012-10-17ARM: OMAP: Split plat-omap/i2c.c into mach-omap1 and mach-omap2Tony Lindgren1-1/+3
There's no need to keep the device related things in the common i2c.c as omap2+ is using hwmod. Split the code to mach-omap1 and mach-omap2 parts and only leave common code to plat-omap/i2c.c. Note that as omap1 only has one i2c controller, we can now remove the old device related macros. Reviewed-by: Shubhrajyoti D <shubhrajyoti@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

2012-09-12ARM: OMAP3+: hwmod: Add AM33XX HWMOD dataVaibhav Hiremath1-0/+3384
This patch adds HWMOD data for all the peripherals of AM335X device and also hooks up to the existing OMAP framework. hwmod data has been already been cleaned up for the recent changes in clocktree, where all leaf nodes have been removed, since with modulemode based control, both clock and hwmod interface does same thing. This reduces the code size to large extent and also avoids duplication of same control. So instead of specifying module's leaf node as a main_clk, now we are relying on parent clock of module's functional clock.
