2016-06-28clocksource/drivers/integrator-ap: Add the COMPILE_TEST optionDaniel Lezcano1-1/+1
Change the Kconfig option logic to fullfil with the current approach. A new Kconfig option is added, CONFIG_INTEGRATOR_AP_TIMER and is selected by the platform. Then the clocksource's Kconfig is changed to make this option selectable by the user if the COMPILE_TEST option is set. Otherwise, it is up to the platform's Kconfig to select the timer. 2016-06-03ARM: do away with ARCH_[WANT_OPTIONAL|REQUIRE]_GPIOLIBLinus Walleij1-2/+2
This replaces: - "select ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB" with "select GPIOLIB" as this can now be selected directly. - "select ARCH_WANT_OPTIONAL_GPIOLIB" with no dependency: GPIOLIB is now selectable by everyone, so we need not declare our intent to select it. When ordering the symbols the following rationale was used: if the selects were in alphabetical order, I moved select GPIOLIB to be in alphabetical order, but if the selects were not maintained in alphabetical order, I just replaced "select ARCH_REQUIRE_GPIOLIB" with "select GPIOLIB". 2016-04-04ARM: integrator: move flash registration to device treeLinus Walleij2-113/+0
The flash on the Integrator was already defined by the device tree, but VPP control and flash protection was in the boardfiles. Simply add the compatible string "arm,versatile-flash" and the special add-on code for flash programming voltage and protection kicks in in the MTD layer. Remove the board file code and augment the device tree in one go for seamless transition. 2015-12-18Merge branch 'treewide/cleanup' into next/multiplatformArnd Bergmann1-1/+2
The realview multiplatform series has a trivial conflict with one of the treewide cleanups, let's just merge that in to avoid having to resolve this later. * treewide/cleanup: ARM: use "depends on" for SoC configs instead of "if" after prompt ARM/clocksource: use automatic DT probing for ux500 PRCMU ARM: use const and __initconst for smp_operations ARM: hisi: do not export smp_operations structures Conflicts: arch/arm/mach-integrator/Kconfig
2015-12-18ARM: integrator: use explicit core module optionsArnd Bergmann1-17/+115
For consistency with the other platforms, this remove the CPU selection logic in mm/Kconfig that was only used by integrator, and adds specific options for each available core tile and core module, which in turn select the correct CPUs. This is consistent with the new way that we do it for realview and all other platforms. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2015-12-02ARM: use "depends on" for SoC configs instead of "if" after promptMasahiro Yamada1-1/+2
Many ARM sub-architectures use prompts followed by "if" conditional, but it is wrong. Please notice the difference between config ARCH_FOO bool "Foo SoCs" if ARCH_MULTI_V7 and config ARCH_FOO bool "Foo SoCs" depends on ARCH_MULTI_V7 These two are *not* equivalent! In the former statement, it is not ARCH_FOO, but its prompt that depends on ARCH_MULTI_V7. So, it is completely valid that ARCH_FOO is selected by another, but ARCH_MULTI_V7 is still disabled. As it is not unmet dependency, Kconfig never warns. This is probably not what you want. The former should be used only when you need to do so, and you really understand what you are doing. (In most cases, it should be wrong!) For enabling/disabling sub-architectures, the latter is always correct. As a good side effect, this commit fixes some entries over 80 columns (mach-imx, mach-integrator, mach-mbevu). 2015-06-02ARM: 8365/1: introduce sp804_timer_disable and remove arm_timer.h inclusionSudeep Holla1-1/+0
The header asm/hardware/arm_timer.h is included in various machine specific files to access TIMER_CTRL and initialise to a known state. This patch introduces a new function sp804_timer_disable to disable the SP804 timers and uses the same for initialising the timers to known(off) state, thereby removing the dependency on the header asm/hardware/arm_timer.h This change is in prepartion to move sp804 timer support out of arch/arm so that it can be used on ARM64 platforms. 2015-01-29ARM: integrator: Convert PCI to use generic config accessorsRob Herring1-57/+5
Convert the integrator PCI driver to use the generic config access functions. This changes accesses from __raw_readX/__raw_writeX to readX/writeX variants. The spinlock is removed because it is unnecessary. The config read and write functions are already protected with a spinlock and no access can occur during the .pre_init function. 2014-11-13soc: move SoC driver for the ARM IntegratorLinus Walleij5-150/+1
This creates a new SoC bus driver for the ARM Integrator family core modules to register the SoC bus and provide sysfs info for the core module. We delete the corresponding code from the Integrator machine and select this driver to get a clean result. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2014-11-13ARM: integrator: move core module LED to device treeLinus Walleij2-81/+1

2014-11-13ARM: integrator: move debug LEDs to syscon LED driverLinus Walleij1-46/+2
The Integrator debug block is a simple set of registers, make it a syscon and register the four LEDs on the Integrator/AP baseboard as syscon LEDs. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2014-11-13ARM: integrator: move restart to the device treeLinus Walleij6-12/+4
Using the augmented reset driver for the Versatile family, we can move the reset handling for the Integrator out of the machine. We add a "syscon" attribute to the core module, and access the syscon registers using this handle. We need to select SYSCON, POWER, POWER_RESET and POWER_RESET_VERSATILE in order for the restart functionality to always be available on all systems (it should not be optional). 2014-10-28ARM: integrator: move AP timer to clocksourceLinus Walleij1-190/+0
This moves the timer/clocksource implementation for the Integrator/AP down to drivers/clocksource and augments the driver a little to use CLOCKSOURCE_OF_DECLARE(). Remove the static mapping of the timer blocks while we're at it. Tested on the Integrator/AP. 2014-10-01of/pci: Fix the conversion of IO ranges into IO resourcesLiviu Dudau1-11/+12
The ranges property for a host bridge controller in DT describes the mapping between the PCI bus address and the CPU physical address. The resources framework however expects that the IO resources start at a pseudo "port" address 0 (zero) and have a maximum size of IO_SPACE_LIMIT. The conversion from PCI ranges to resources failed to take that into account, returning a CPU physical address instead of a port number. Also fix all the drivers that depend on the old behaviour by fetching the CPU physical address based on the port number where it is being needed. 2014-06-27ARM: integrator: get rid of <mach/memory.h>Linus Walleij1-34/+0
The Integrator has a custom <mach/memory.h> header defining the BUS_OFFSET for *_to_bus and bus_to_* operations as offset from 0x80000000. This switches the Integrator over to using the mechanism introduced for the Keystone to provide the same offset using the device tree, deletes <mach/memory.h> and augments the Integrator device tree to provide the bus offset. 2014-06-24ARM: integrator: fix OF-related regressionLinus Walleij2-36/+13
Commit 07e461cd7e73a84f0e3757932b93cc80976fd749 "of: Ensure unique names without sacrificing determinism" caused a boot failure regression on the Integrator machines. The problem is probably caused by fiddling too much with the device tree population in the OF init function, such as passing the SoC bus device as parent when populating the device tree. This patch fixes the problem by: - Avoiding to explicitly look up the tree root - Look up devices needed before device population from the match only, passing NULL as root - Passing NULL as root and parent when calling of_platform_populate() After this the Integrators boot again. Tested on Integrator/AP and Integrator/CP. Cc: Grant Likely <grant.likely@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2014-06-17ARM: integrator: fix section mismatch problemLinus Walleij2-2/+12
This addresses a section mismatch problem in the IM-PD1 driver in the Integrator/AP. The IM-PD1 contains a VIC interrupt controller and therefore the driver calls vic_init_cascaded() which is marked __init as irqchips are simply not hot-pluggable and specifically the VIC is assumed to initiate only on boot. However the module driver model of the Integrator LM bus assumes that logic tile drivers can be probed at runtime. This is not really the case for IM-PD1: these tiles are detected at boot and they cannot be plugged into a running system. Before this patch it is of course possible to modprobe them later. By first forcing the IM-PD1 to bool we make sure this driver gets compiled into the kernel, and we know it will be probed only at boot time when the tiles are detected, so we can tag its probe function __init_refok as we know it won't be called after boot now, and the section mismatch problem goes away. As a side effect, sysfs binding from userspace becomes impossible, so we tag the driver to suppress the bind/unbind sysfs attributes. next/cleanup This cleanup series gets rid of <mach/timex.h> for platforms not using ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. (For multi-platform code it's already unused since 387798b (ARM: initial multiplatform support).) To make this work some code out of arch/arm needed to be adapted. The respective changes got acks by their maintainers to be taken via armsoc (with Andrew Morton substituting for Alessandro Zummo as rtc maintainer). Compared to the previous pull request there was another patch added that fixes a (non-critical) regression on ixp4xx.
