2014-11-21ARM: io.c: clean up EXPORT_SYMBOL()sRussell King1-3/+2
Place EXPORT_SYMBOL()s after the function definition. Tested-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2014-01-28ARM: 7930/1: Introduce atomic MMIO modifyEzequiel Garcia1-0/+35
Some SoC have MMIO regions that are shared across orthogonal subsystems. This commit implements a possible solution for the thread-safe access of such regions through a spinlock-protected API. Concurrent access is protected with a single spinlock for the entire MMIO address space. While this protects shared-registers, it also serializes access to unrelated/unshared registers. We add relaxed and non-relaxed variants, by using writel_relaxed and writel, respectively. The rationale for this is that some users may not require register write completion but only thread-safe access to a register. 2011-11-01arm: convert core files from module.h to export.hPaul Gortmaker1-1/+1
Many of the core ARM kernel files are not modules, but just including module.h for exporting symbols. Now these files can use the lighter footprint export.h for this role. There are probably lots more, but ARM files of mach-* and plat-* don't get coverage via a simple yesconfig build. They will have to be cleaned up and tested via using their respective configs. 2005-09-24[ARM] Fix compiler warnings for memcpy_toio/memcpy_fromio/memset_ioRussell King1-3/+3
Add 'volatile' to the __iomem pointers for these functions as per x86. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
