2020-08-30ARM: dts: imx: Fix the SPI chipselect polarityFabio Estevam1-1/+1
The conversion of the spi-imx driver to use GPIO descriptors in commit 8cdcd8aeee28 ("spi: imx/fsl-lpspi: Convert to GPIO descriptors") helped to detect the following SPI chipselect polarity mismatch on an imx6q-sabresd: [ 4.854337] m25p80@0 enforce active low on chipselect handle Prior to the above commit, the chipselect polarity passed via cs-gpios property was ignored and considered active-low. The reason for such mismatch is clearly explained in the comments inside drivers/gpio/gpiolib-of.c: * SPI children have active low chip selects * by default. This can be specified negatively * by just omitting "spi-cs-high" in the * device node, or actively by tagging on * GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW as flag in the device * tree. If the line is simultaneously * tagged as active low in the device tree * and has the "spi-cs-high" set, we get a * conflict and the "spi-cs-high" flag will * take precedence. To properly represent the SPI chipselect polarity, change it to active-low when the "spi-cs-high" property is absent. 2020-07-13ARM: dts: imx: default to #pwm-cells = <3> in the SoC dtsi filesUwe Kleine-König1-0/+2
The imx-pwm driver supports 3 cells and this is the more flexible setting. So use it by default and overwrite it back to two for the files that reference the PWMs with just 2 cells to minimize changes. This allows to drop explicit setting to 3 cells for the boards that already depend on this. The boards that are now using 2 cells explicitly can be converted to 3 individually. 2017-07-26ARM: dts: imx6qdl-nitrogen6x: fix USB PHY resetGary Bisson1-0/+19
Declared as a regulator since the driver doesn't have a reset-gpios property for this. This ensures that the PHY is woken up, not depending on the state the second stage bootloader leaves the pin. This is a workaround until a proper mechanism is provided to reset such devices like the pwrseq library [1] for instance. The FEC driver ignores the GPIO polarity from 'phy-reset-gpios' and considers that the Ethernet PHY is active low, unless the property 'phy-reset-active-high' is present. Fix the device tree description by explicitly passing the 'GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW' flag to the 'phy-reset-gpios' property. 2016-02-29ARM: dts: imx: replace legacy wakeup property with 'wakeup-source'Sudeep Holla1-1/+1
Though the keyboard and other driver will continue to support the legacy "gpio-key,wakeup", "linux,wakeup" and "enable-sdio-wakeup" boolean property to enable the wakeup source, "wakeup-source" is the new standard binding. This patch replaces all the legacy wakeup properties with the unified "wakeup-source" property in order to avoid any futher copy-paste duplication. 2015-08-11ARM: dts: imx6qdl-nitrogen6x: Allow HDMI and LVDS to work simultaneouslyFabio Estevam1-0/+7
Currently it is not possible to have HDMI and LVDS working simultaneously, because both ports try to use PLL5. Move the LVDS clock parent to PLL3_USB_OTG, so that HDMI and LVDS can be driven from independent sources. With this change the LDB pixel clock goes to 68.57 MHz, which is still within the valid range for the HSD100PXN1 LVDS panel. The DAI mode is and should be configured by the sound card driver as codec and ssi have to be in the right modes to communicate with each other. It is possible to operate the ssi unit or the codec in master mode, sometimes even on the same board in different configurations. With the latest changes in the fsl-ssi driver, the 'fsl,mode' property is only handled as a fallback property. If the sound card sets the DAI mode correctly, this fallback configuration is dropped. This works around a hardware bug. From "Chip Errata for the i.MX 6Dual/6Quad" ERR006687 ENET: Only the ENET wake-up interrupt request can wake the system from Wait mode. The ENET block generates many interrupts. Only one of these interrupt lines is connected to the General Power Controller (GPC) block, but a logical OR of all of the ENET interrupts is connected to the General Interrupt Controller (GIC). When the system enters Wait mode, a normal RX Done or TX Done does not wake up the system because the GPC cannot see this interrupt. This impacts performance of the ENET block because its interrupts are serviced only when the chip exits Wait mode due to an interrupt from some other wake-up source. This change may not be appropriate for all boards. Sabre Lite uses GPIO6 as a power down output for a ov5642 camera. As this expansion board does not yet work with mainline, this is not yet a conflict. It would be nice to have an alternative fix for boards where this is a problem. For example Sabre SD uses GPIO6 for I2C3_SDA. It also has long ping times currently. But cannot use this fix without giving up a touchscreen.
