2025-03-13scripts: get_feat.pl: substitute s390x with s390Heiko Carstens1-1/+1
Both get_feat.pl and list-arch.sh use uname -m to get the machine hardware name to figure out the current architecture if no architecture is specified with a command line option. This doesn't work for s390, since for 64 bit kernels the hardware name is s390x, while the architecture name within the kernel, as well as in all feature files is s390. Therefore substitute s390x with s390 similar to what is already done for x86_64 and i386. 2025-03-12net: revert to lockless TC_SETUP_BLOCK and TC_SETUP_FTStanislav Fomichev1-0/+6
There is a couple of places from which we can arrive to ndo_setup_tc with TC_SETUP_BLOCK/TC_SETUP_FT: - netlink - netlink notifier - netdev notifier Locking netdev too deep in this call chain seems to be problematic (especially assuming some/all of the call_netdevice_notifiers NETDEV_UNREGISTER) might soon be running with the instance lock). Revert to lockless ndo_setup_tc for TC_SETUP_BLOCK/TC_SETUP_FT. NFT framework already takes care of most of the locking. The SD/MMC block on the RZ/G3E ("R9A09G047") SoC is similar to that of the RZ/V2H, but the SD0 channel has only dedicated pins, so we must use SD_STATUS register to control voltage and power enable (internal regulator), for non-fixed voltage (SD) MMC interface. However, it is optional for fixed voltage MMC interface (eMMC). For SD1 and SD2 channels, we can either use gpio regulator or internal regulator (using SD_STATUS register) for voltage switching. 2025-03-12dt-bindings: clk: sunxi-ng: document two Allwinner A523 CCUsAndre Przywara1-0/+103
The Allwinner A523/T527 SoCs have four CCUs, this adds the binding for the main and the PRCM R-CCU. The source clock list differs in some annoying details, and folding this into the existing Allwinner CCU clock binding document gets quite unwieldy, so create a new document for these CCUs. Add the new compatible string, along with the required input clock lists. This conditionally describes the input clock lists, to make adding support for the other two CCUs easier. 2025-03-12drm/ci: enable lockdep detectionVignesh Raman1-0/+4
We have enabled PROVE_LOCKING (which enables LOCKDEP) in drm-ci. This will output warnings when kernel locking errors are encountered and will continue executing tests. To detect if lockdep has been triggered, check the debug_locks value in /proc/lockdep_stats after the tests have run. When debug_locks is 0, it indicates that lockdep has detected issues and turned itself off. Check this value, and if lockdep is detected, exit with an error and configure it as a warning in GitLab CI. GitLab CI ignores exit codes other than 1 by default. Pass the correct exit code with variable FF_USE_NEW_BASH_EVAL_STRATEGY set to true or exit on failure. Also update the documentation. Add a new helper __init_el2_fgt2() which initializes FEAT_FGT2 based fine grained trap control registers HDFGRTR2_EL2 and HDFGWTR2_EL2 (setting the bits nPMICNTR_EL0, nPMICFILTR_EL0 and nPMUACR_EL1) to enable access into PMICNTR_EL0, PMICFILTR_EL0, and PMUACR_EL1 registers. Also update booting.rst with SCR_EL3.FGTEn2 requirement for all FEAT_FGT2 based registers to be accessible in EL2. 2025-03-11coresight: docs: Remove target sink from examplesJames Clark2-27/+18
Previously the sink had to be specified, but now it auto selects one by default. Including a sink in the examples causes issues when copy pasting the command because it might not work if that sink isn't present. Remove the sink from all the basic examples and create a new section specifically about overriding the default one. Make the text a but more concise now that it's in the advanced section, and similarly for removing the old kernel advice. We haven't had much discussion on the list about this, but a handful of people have been confused about rules on posting selftests for fixes, lately. I tend to post fixes with their respective selftests in the same series. There are tradeoffs around size of the net tree and conflicts but so far it hasn't been a major issue.
