The driver was merged in 1999 and has only ever seen treewide cleanups
since then, with no indication whatsoever that anyone has actually
had access to hardware for testing the patches.
>From the information in the link below, it appears that the hardware
is for some leased line system in Russia that has since been
discontinued, and useless without any remote end to connect to.
As the driver still feels like a Linux-2.2 era artifact today, it
appears that the best way forward is to just delete it.

Add an option lacp_active, which is similar with team's runner.active.
This option specifies whether to send LACPDU frames periodically. If set
on, the LACPDU frames are sent along with the configured lacp_rate
setting. If set off, the LACPDU frames acts as "speak when spoken to".
Note, the LACPDU state frames still will be sent when init or unbind port.

All other user triggered operations are gone from ndo_ioctl, so move
the SIOCBOND family into a custom operation as well.
The .ndo_ioctl() helper is no longer called by the dev_ioctl.c code now,
but there are still a few definitions in obsolete wireless drivers as well
as the appletalk and ieee802154 layers to call SIOCSIFADDR/SIOCGIFADDR
helpers from inside the kernel.

In order to further reduce the scope of ndo_do_ioctl(), move
out the SIOCWANDEV handling into a new network device operation
function.
Adjust the prototype to only pass the if_settings sub-structure
in place of the ifreq, and remove the redundant 'cmd' argument
in the process.

Most users of ndo_do_ioctl are ethernet drivers that implement
the MII commands SIOCGMIIPHY/SIOCGMIIREG/SIOCSMIIREG, or hardware
timestamping with SIOCSHWTSTAMP/SIOCGHWTSTAMP.
Separate these from the few drivers that use ndo_do_ioctl to
implement SIOCBOND, SIOCBR and SIOCWANDEV commands.
This is a purely cosmetic change intended to help readers find
their way through the implementation.

SIOCDEVPRIVATE ioctl commands are mainly used in really old
drivers, and they have a number of problems:
- They hide behind the normal .ndo_do_ioctl function that
is also used for other things in modern drivers, so it's
hard to spot a driver that actually uses one of these
- Since drivers use a number different calling conventions,
it is impossible to support compat mode for them in
a generic way.
- With all drivers using the same 16 commands codes, there
is no way to introspect the data being passed through
things like strace.
Add a new net_device_ops callback pointer, to address the
first two of these. Separating them from .ndo_do_ioctl
makes it easy to grep for drivers with a .ndo_siocdevprivate
callback, and the unwieldy name hopefully makes it easier
to spot in code review.
By passing the ifreq structure and the ifr_data pointer
separately, it is no longer necessary to overload these,
and the driver can use either one for a given command.

The next 3 patches target the rx-offload helper, are by me and improve
the performance and fix the local softirq work pending error, when

bittiming and transmitter delay compensation, the documentation for
the struct can_tdc is fixed, clear data_bittiming if FD mode is turned
off and a redundant check is removed.
Followed by 4 patches targeting the m_can driver. Faiz Abbas's patches
add support for CAN PHY via the generic phy subsystem. Yang Yingliang
converts the driver to use devm_platform_ioremap_resource_byname().
And a patch by me which removes the unused support for custom bit
timing.
Andy Shevchenko contributes 2 patches for the mcp251xfd driver to
prepare the driver for ACPI support. A patch by me adds support for
shared IRQ handlers.
Zhen Lei contributes 3 patches to convert the esd_usb2, janz-ican3 and
the at91_can driver to make use of the DEVICE_ATTR_RO/RW() macros.
The next 8 patches are by Peng Li and provide general cleanups for the
at91_can driver.
The next 7 patches target the peak driver. Frist 2 cleanup patches by
me for the peak_pci driver, followed by Stephane Grosjean' patch to
print the name and firmware version of the detected hardware. The
peak_usb driver gets a cleanup patch, loopback and one-shot mode and
an upgrading of the bus state change handling in Stephane Grosjean's
patches.
Vincent Mailhol provides 6 cleanup patches for the etas_es58x driver.
In the last 3 patches Angelo Dureghello add support for the mcf5441x
SoC to the flexcan driver.

The conversion tools used during DocBook/LaTeX/html/Markdown->ReST
conversion and some cut-and-pasted text contain some characters that
aren't easily reachable on standard keyboards and/or could cause
troubles when parsed by the documentation build system.

Some transceivers need a configuration step (for example, pulling the
standby or enable lines) for them to start sending messages. The
transceiver can be implemented as a phy with the configuration done in
the phy driver. The bit rate limitation can the be obtained by the
driver using the phy node.
Document the above implementation in the bosch mcan bindings.

Patch series "userfaultfd: do not untag user pointers", v5.
If a user program uses userfaultfd on ranges of heap memory, it may end
up passing a tagged pointer to the kernel in the range.start field of
the UFFDIO_REGISTER ioctl. This can happen when using an MTE-capable
allocator, or on Android if using the Tagged Pointers feature for MTE
readiness [1].
When a fault subsequently occurs, the tag is stripped from the fault
address returned to the application in the fault.address field of struct
uffd_msg. However, from the application's perspective, the tagged
address *is* the memory address, so if the application is unaware of
memory tags, it may get confused by receiving an address that is, from
its point of view, outside of the bounds of the allocation. We observed
this behavior in the kselftest for userfaultfd [2] but other
applications could have the same problem.
Address this by not untagging pointers passed to the userfaultfd ioctls.
Instead, let the system call fail. Also change the kselftest to use
mmap so that it doesn't encounter this problem.

This patch (of 2):
Do not untag pointers passed to the userfaultfd ioctls. Instead, let
the system call fail. This will provide an early indication of problems
with tag-unaware userspace code instead of letting the code get confused
later, and is consistent with how we decided to handle brk/mmap/mremap
in commit dcde237319e6 ("mm: Avoid creating virtual address aliases in
brk()/mmap()/mremap()"), as well as being consistent with the existing
tagged address ABI documentation relating to how ioctl arguments are
handled.
The code change is a revert of commit 7d0325749a6c ("userfaultfd: untag
user pointers") plus some fixups to some additional calls to
validate_range that have appeared since then.

Currently the histogram logic allows the user to write "cpu" in as an
event field, and it will record the CPU that the event happened on.
The problem with this is that there's a lot of events that have "cpu"
as a real field, and using "cpu" as the CPU it ran on, makes it
impossible to run histograms on the "cpu" field of events.
For example, if I want to have a histogram on the count of the
workqueue_queue_work event on its cpu field, running:

Gives a misleading and wrong result.
Change the command to "common_cpu" as no event should have "common_*"
fields as that's a reserved name for fields used by all events. And
this makes sense here as common_cpu would be a field used by all events.

Now for backward compatibility, I added a trick. If "cpu" is used, and
the field is not found, it will fall back to "common_cpu" and work as
it did before. This way, it will still work for old programs that use
"cpu" to get the actual CPU, but if the event has a "cpu" as a field, it
will get that event's "cpu" field, which is probably what it wants
anyway.
I updated the tracefs/README to include documentation about both the
common_timestamp and the common_cpu. This way, if that text is present in
the README, then an application can know that common_cpu is supported over
just plain "cpu".

Multiple complaints have been raised from the TFO users on the internet
stating that the TFO blackhole logic is too aggressive and gets falsely
triggered too often.
(e.g. https://blog.apnic.net/2021/07/05/tcp-fast-open-not-so-fast/)
Considering that most middleboxes no longer drop TFO packets, we decide
to disable the blackhole logic by setting
/proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_fastopen_blackhole_timeout_set to 0 by default.

This patch improves the yaml a bit according to Rob Herring comments:
1) normalize interrupt-names property, there is no reason to support
random order.
2) validate each string in clock-names property.
3) add constraints for fsl,num-tx-queues/fsl,num-rx-queues property.
4) change additionalProperties to false in order to do strict checking.

ASoC: Fixes for v5.14
A collection of fixes for ASoC that have come in since the merge window,
all driver specific. There is a new core feature added for reversing
the order of operations when shutting down, this is needed to fix a bug
with the AMD Stonyridge platform, and we also tweak the Kconfig to make
the SSM2518 driver user selectable so it can be used with generic cards
but that requires no actual code changes.

3) An IOAM domain (e.g. ID=123) is defined and made known to each node:

by A when C (e.g. db02::2) is the destination:

On some newer SoCs, the interconnect between IPA and SoC internal
memory (imem) is not used. Reflect this in the binding by moving
the definition of the "imem" interconnect to the end and defining
minItems to be 2 for both the interconnects and interconnect-names
properties.

The "resets" property is not present on R-Car Gen1 SoCs.
Supporting it would require migrating from renesas,cpg-clocks to
renesas,cpg-mssr.
Reflect this in the DT bindings by removing the global "required:
resets". All SoCs that do have "resets" properties already have
SoC-specific rules making it required.
