2020-10-27dt-bindings: Another round of adding missing ↵Rob Herring1-0/+2
'additionalProperties/unevalutatedProperties' Another round of wack-a-mole. The json-schema default is additional unknown properties are allowed, but for DT all properties should be defined. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
2020-10-27dt-bindings: More whitespace clean-ups in schema filesRob Herring1-3/+3
Clean-up incorrect indentation, extra spaces, and missing EOF newline in schema files. Most of the clean-ups are for list indentation which should always be 2 spaces more than the preceding keyword. Found with yamllint (now integrated into the checks). 2020-05-28dt-bindings: power: reset: Unrequire regmap property in syscon-reboot nodeSerge Semin1-5/+10
Since normally syscon-reboot block is supposed to be a part of a system controller, lets mark the regmap property as deprecated and recommend the syscon-reboot node to be a sub-node of SYSCON. 2020-05-09dt-bindings: power: reset: Convert syscon-reboot-mode to DT schemaSerge Semin2-35/+55
Modern device tree bindings are supposed to be created as YAML-files in accordance with dt-schema. This commit replaces SYSCON reboot-mode legacy bare text bindings with YAML file. As before the bindings file states that the corresponding dts node is supposed to be compatible "syscon-reboot-mode" device and necessarily have an offset property to determine which register from the regmap is supposed to keep the mode on reboot. 2020-03-31dt-bindings: Add missing 'additionalProperties: false'Rob Herring2-0/+4
Setting 'additionalProperties: false' is frequently omitted, but is important in order to check that there aren't extra undocumented properties in a binding. Ideally, we'd just add this automatically and make this the default, but there's some cases where it doesn't work. For example, if a common schema is referenced, then properties in the common schema aren't part of what's considered for 'additionalProperties'. Also, sometimes there are bus specific properties such as 'spi-max-frequency' that go into bus child nodes, but aren't defined in the child node's schema. So let's stick with the json-schema defined default and add 'additionalProperties: false' where needed. This will be a continual review comment and game of wack-a-mole.
