2019-02-19hwmon: (pmbus) associate PMBUS_SKIP_STATUS_CHECK with driver dataXiaoting Liu1-22/+41
Current code compares device name with name in i2c_device_id to decide whether PMBUS_SKIP_STATUS_CHECK should be set in pmbus_platform_data, which makes adding new devices with PMBUS_SKIP_STATUS_CHECK should also modify code in pmbus_probe(). This patch adds pmbus_device_info to save pages and flags. Its pointer is put in driver_data of i2c_device_id, which makes adding new device more straightforward. 2019-02-19hwmon: (pmbus/tps53679) Fix driver info initialization in probe routineVadim Pasternak1-1/+8
Fix tps53679_probe() by using dynamically allocated "pmbus_driver_info" structure instead of static. Usage of static structures causes overwritten of the field "vrm_version", in case the system is equipped with several tps53679 devices with the different "vrm_version". In such case the last probed device overwrites this field for all others. Now that LEDs core allows "blocking" flavor of "set brightness" method we can use it and get rid of private work item. As a bonus, we are no longer forgetting to cancel it when we unbind the driver. 2019-02-17powerpc/64s: Fix possible corruption on big endian due to pgd/pud_present()Michael Ellerman1-2/+2
In v4.20 we changed our pgd/pud_present() to check for _PAGE_PRESENT rather than just checking that the value is non-zero, e.g.: static inline int pgd_present(pgd_t pgd) { - return !pgd_none(pgd); + return (pgd_raw(pgd) & cpu_to_be64(_PAGE_PRESENT)); } Unfortunately this is broken on big endian, as the result of the bitwise & is truncated to int, which is always zero because _PAGE_PRESENT is 0x8000000000000000ul. This means pgd_present() and pud_present() are always false at compile time, and the compiler elides the subsequent code. Remarkably with that bug present we are still able to boot and run with few noticeable effects. However under some work loads we are able to trigger a warning in the ext4 code: WARNING: CPU: 11 PID: 29593 at fs/ext4/inode.c:3927 .ext4_set_page_dirty+0x70/0xb0 CPU: 11 PID: 29593 Comm: debugedit Not tainted 4.20.0-rc1 #1 ...
