2020-11-26drm/nouveau: fix relocations applying logic and a double-freeMatti Hamalainen1-3/+5
Commit 03e0d26fcf79 ("drm/nouveau: slowpath for pushbuf ioctl") included a logic-bug which results in the relocations not actually getting applied at all as the call to nouveau_gem_pushbuf_reloc_apply() is never reached. This causes a regression with graphical corruption, triggered when relocations need to be done (for example after a suspend/resume cycle.) Fix by setting *apply_relocs value only if there were more than 0 relocations. Additionally, the never reached code had a leftover u_free() call, which, after fixing the logic, now got called and resulted in a double-free. Fix by removing one u_free(), moving the other and adding check for errors. The sheet music used to generate the tones had a few polyphonic notes. Due to that, its conversion to a tones sequence had a few errors. Also, due to a bug at the tone generator, it was missing the pause at the initial compass. Fix them. While here, reduce the compass to 100bpm. Currently, there are not checks if something gets bad during memory allocation: it will simply use NULL pointers and crash. Add error path at the logic which allocates memory for the MPEG-TS generator code, propagating the errors up to the vidtv_bridge. Now, if something wents bad, start_streaming will return an error that userspace can detect: ERROR DMX_SET_PES_FILTER failed (PID = 0x2000): 12 Cannot allocate memory and the driver doesn't crash. If the underlying read operation failed we would end up writing stale data to the supplied buffer. This would end up with the last successfully read value repeating. Fix this by only writing the data when we know the read was good. This will mean that failed values will return 0xffff. The MV88E6097 presents the serdes interrupts for ports 8 and 9 via the Switch Global 2 registers. There is no additional layer of enablinh/disabling the serdes interrupts like other mv88e6xxx switches. Even though most of the serdes behaviour is the same as the MV88E6185 that chip does not provide interrupts for serdes events so unlike earlier commits the functions added here are specific to the MV88E6097. 2020-11-26net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: Don't force link when using in-band-statusChris Packham4-4/+74
When a port is configured with 'managed = "in-band-status"' switch chips like the 88E6390 need to propagate the SERDES link state to the MAC because the link state is not correctly detected. This causes problems on the 88E6185/88E6097 where the link partner won't see link state changes because we're forcing the link. To address this introduce a new device specific op port_sync_link() and push the logic from mv88e6xxx_mac_link_up() into that. Provide an implementation for the 88E6185 like devices which doesn't force the link. 2020-11-26net/tls: Protect from calling tls_dev_del for TLS RX twiceMaxim Mikityanskiy2-1/+10
tls_device_offload_cleanup_rx doesn't clear tls_ctx->netdev after calling tls_dev_del if TLX TX offload is also enabled. Clearing tls_ctx->netdev gets postponed until tls_device_gc_task. It leaves a time frame when tls_device_down may get called and call tls_dev_del for RX one extra time, confusing the driver, which may lead to a crash. This patch corrects this racy behavior by adding a flag to prevent tls_device_down from calling tls_dev_del the second time. 2020-11-26IB/hfi1: Ensure correct mm is used at all timesDennis Dalessandro8-49/+79
Two earlier bug fixes have created a security problem in the hfi1 driver. One fix aimed to solve an issue where current->mm was not valid when closing the hfi1 cdev. It attempted to do this by saving a cached value of the current->mm pointer at file open time. This is a problem if another process with access to the FD calls in via write() or ioctl() to pin pages via the hfi driver. The other fix tried to solve a use after free by taking a reference on the mm. To fix this correctly we use the existing cached value of the mm in the mmu notifier. Now we can check in the insert, evict, etc. routines that current->mm matched what the notifier was registered for. If not, then don't allow access. The register of the mmu notifier will save the mm pointer. Since in do_exit() the exit_mm() is called before exit_files(), which would call our close routine a reference is needed on the mm. We rely on the mmgrab done by the registration of the notifier, whereas before it was explicit. The mmu notifier deregistration happens when the user context is torn down, the creation of which triggered the registration. Also of note is we do not do any explicit work to protect the interval tree notifier. It doesn't seem that this is going to be needed since we aren't actually doing anything with current->mm. The interval tree notifier stuff still has a FIXME noted from a previous commit that will be addressed in a follow on patch. 2020-11-26bpf: Fix selftest compilation on clang 11Andrei Matei1-0/+2
Before this patch, profiler.inc.h wouldn't compile with clang-11 (before the __builtin_preserve_enum_value LLVM builtin was introduced in https://reviews.llvm.org/D83242). Another test that uses this builtin (test_core_enumval) is conditionally skipped if the compiler is too old. In that spirit, this patch inhibits part of populate_cgroup_info(), which needs this CO-RE builtin. The selftests build again on clang-11. The affected test (the profiler test) doesn't pass on clang-11 because it's missing https://reviews.llvm.org/D85570, but at least the test suite as a whole compiles. The test's expected failure is already called out in the README. 2020-11-26bpf: Add a selftest for bpf_ima_inode_hashKP Singh4-0/+186
The test does the following: - Mounts a loopback filesystem and appends the IMA policy to measure executions only on this file-system. Restricting the IMA policy to a particular filesystem prevents a system-wide IMA policy change. - Executes an executable copied to this loopback filesystem. - Calls the bpf_ima_inode_hash in the bprm_committed_creds hook and checks if the call succeeded and checks if a hash was calculated. The test shells out to the added ima_setup.sh script as the setup is better handled in a shell script and is more complicated to do in the test program or even shelling out individual commands from C. The list of required configs (i.e. IMA, SECURITYFS, IMA_{WRITE,READ}_POLICY) for running this test are also updated. These are caused by an earlier, unrelated bug such as a n ABBA deadlock in a different subsystem. In such an event, lockdep is disabled and lockdep_is_held returns true unconditionally. This then causes the WARN() in nf_tables. Make the WARN conditional on lockdep still active to avoid this. 2020-11-26netfilter: ipset: prevent uninit-value in hash_ip6_addEric Dumazet1-2/+1
syzbot found that we are not validating user input properly before copying 16 bytes [1]. Using NLA_BINARY in ipaddr_policy[] for IPv6 address is not correct, since it ensures at most 16 bytes were provided. We should instead make sure user provided exactly 16 bytes. In old kernels (before v4.20), fix would be to remove the NLA_BINARY, since NLA_POLICY_EXACT_LEN() was not yet available. The current semantic for napi_consume_skb() is that caller need to provide non-zero budget when calling from NAPI context, and breaking this semantic will cause hard to debug problem, because _kfree_skb_defer() need to run in atomic context in order to push the skb to the particular cpu' napi_alloc_cache atomically. So add the lockdep_assert_in_softirq() to assert when the running context is not in_softirq, in_softirq means softirq is serving or BH is disabled, which has a ambiguous semantics due to the BH disabled confusion, so add a comment to emphasize that. And the softirq context can be interrupted by hard IRQ or NMI context, lockdep_assert_in_softirq() need to assert about hard IRQ or NMI context too. 2020-11-26ima: Implement ima_inode_hashKP Singh2-24/+60
This is in preparation to add a helper for BPF LSM programs to use IMA hashes when attached to LSM hooks. There are LSM hooks like inode_unlink which do not have a struct file * argument and cannot use the existing ima_file_hash API. An inode based API is, therefore, useful in LSM based detections like an executable trying to delete itself which rely on the inode_unlink LSM hook. Moreover, the ima_file_hash function does nothing with the struct file pointer apart from calling file_inode on it and converting it to an inode. 2020-11-26bridge: mrp: Implement LC mode for MRPHoratiu Vultur2-3/+16
Extend MRP to support LC mode(link check) for the interconnect port. This applies only to the interconnect ring. Opposite to RC mode(ring check) the LC mode is using CFM frames to detect when the link goes up or down and based on that the userspace will need to react. One advantage of the LC mode over RC mode is that there will be fewer frames in the normal rings. Because RC mode generates InTest on all ports while LC mode sends CFM frame only on the interconnect port. All 4 nodes part of the interconnect ring needs to have the same mode. And it is not possible to have running LC and RC mode at the same time on a node. Whenever the MIM starts it needs to detect the status of the other 3 nodes in the interconnect ring so it would send a frame called InLinkStatus, on which the clients needs to reply with their link status. This patch adds InLinkStatus frame type and extends existing rules on how to forward this frame. 2020-11-25enetc: Let the hardware auto-advance the taprio base-time of 0Vladimir Oltean1-12/+2
The tc-taprio base time indicates the beginning of the tc-taprio schedule, which is cyclic by definition (where the length of the cycle in nanoseconds is called the cycle time). The base time is a 64-bit PTP time in the TAI domain. Logically, the base-time should be a future time. But that imposes some restrictions to user space, which has to retrieve the current PTP time from the NIC first, then calculate a base time that will still be larger than the base time by the time the kernel driver programs this value into the hardware. Actually ensuring that the programmed base time is in the future is still a problem even if the kernel alone deals with this. Luckily, the enetc hardware already advances a base-time that is in the past into a congruent time in the immediate future, according to the same formula that can be found in the software implementation of taprio (in taprio_get_start_time): /* Schedule the start time for the beginning of the next * cycle. */ n = div64_s64(ktime_sub_ns(now, base), cycle); *start = ktime_add_ns(base, (n + 1) * cycle); There's only one problem: the driver doesn't let the hardware do that. It interferes with the base-time passed from user space, by special-casing the situation when the base-time is zero, and replaces that with the current PTP time. This changes the intended effective base-time of the schedule, which will in the end have a different phase offset than if the base-time of 0.000000000 was to be advanced by an integer multiple of the cycle-time. 2020-11-25net: phy: realtek: read actual speed on rtl8211f to detect downshiftAntonio Borneo1-0/+1
The rtl8211f supports downshift and before commit 5502b218e001 ("net: phy: use phy_resolve_aneg_linkmode in genphy_read_status") the read-back of register MII_CTRL1000 was used to detect the negotiated link speed. The code added in commit d445dff2df60 ("net: phy: realtek: read actual speed to detect downshift") is working fine also for this phy and it's trivial re-using it to restore the downshift detection on rtl8211f.
