Linux/i386/ILP32 HOST sysdeps
============================

This directory contains the common Linux/i386 ILP32 low-level syscall
adapters used by the i586 and i686 HOST profiles.  CPU-generation-specific
subdirectories are reserved for real overrides; the syscall ABI itself is
shared.  The common UNIX errno translator is inherited from
`cpu/sysdeps/unix/sys-errno.c`; all real HOST failures are translated to
stable MCPU errno values before control returns to the common CPU layer.

Large file support is selected by the top-level configure script so that
`off_t` is 64 bits on Linux/i386.  The MCPU time ABI remains 64 bits; HOST
`time_t` representability is checked explicitly by the conversion helpers.
